If anything positive can come from the political assassination of Charlie Kirk, then it might be movement. Not a movement, perhaps we have enough of those already. I mean movement itself, movement of people who have been uneasy about their political affiliation for a long time and for whom September 10 was the final straw. These would be people who voted Democrat (or their equivalent in Europe and the UK) but now don’t really know why. Many will have been wondering if it’s possible to change their affiliation, and what might finally make them do it. Now they know.
In Britain, a Member of Parliament who changes sides to the opposing party is said to have “crossed the floor” and I suspect a lot of floors are being crossed since September 10. I’ve already read and seen a number of comments and videos from Democrats saying, that’s it. Take this job and shove it, I don’t work here anymore.
They voted Harris, they hated Trump, they knew they were on “the right side of history” (tiresome phrase). Some of it was hard to take, admittedly. They struggled with transgenderism but got through it. They grumbled under their breath about affirmative action and DEI hiring, but they knew it was necessary for retributive justice. Defunding the police seemed a really stupid idea, but perhaps they hadn’t looked at the big picture.
Then a man who liked to talk with anyone, and in the public square rather than from the safety of a desk, was shot and killed for those very reasons. It wasn’t that alone that will drive Democrats to the exits, it was also the open celebration online, the evasions and caveats of the mainstream media, the lies and denials and smears. Politically speaking, there are defectors coming.
So, in the manner of good hosts, we must be ready to welcome them and help with their de-indoctrination. And one way to do that is to imitate old waiting rooms and office receptions, and make sure those arriving always have at least one good magazine to read, which is why Counter-Currents is worth your money as well as your time. There is vastly more politically engaged writing available now that the world is online. It’s not as easy as switching channels, but many disaffected ex-Leftists are going to want to do just that with the written media. For their opinions, and the discussion of same, they need somewhere else to turn.
Turning Point was an appropriate name for the organization the late Mr. Kirk founded. A turning point means a turning towards, but also a turning away from, and there are going to be ex-Democrats by the score, perhaps by the tens of thousands, who will also now be sick of reading the stodgy, misleading prose and baked-in ideology of the Left-wing media, mainstream or “alternative.” There will be a whole new pool of readers out there, and they will be looking for something to read. Should they find themselves at Counter-Currents, this will be good for them and good for us.
It will be to their advantage to read something intellectually challenging and stylistically stimulating, after an adult lifetime of garbled Leftist thinking. Having no more use for their Robin DiAngelo and their Noam Chomsky, they will still need intellectual sustenance. For those creatures on the Left, we on the Right are mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging, white trash. We know, however, that those on the dissident right can say with confidence the same thing the character Max Cady says to the lawyer threatening him in the re-make of Cape Fear: “I can out-run you, I can out-think you, and I can out-philosophise you.” We can, and it will appeal to those who are washing their hands of the intellectually lightweight Leftists they thought had it all worked out. They will be fleeing intellectual war zones and seeking asylum on a political side who can protect them against what they are rapidly seeing is a type of insanity. And so we should put up our signs: Refugees welcome.
There are many ways to donate to Counter-Currents, but the easiest is with an e-check donation. All you need is your checkbook.

It may be a good idea to interview some of those who are waking up if you can find any who are willing to talk to you.
Content creators with large followings could bring new people to CC through interviews.
Bridging the gap. Find some common ground and reach out on those issues to stimulate momentum.
I have tried a few British content providers with a view to a CC interview. They are not keen. I suspect CC and others are a little too rich for the blood in some quarters.
I can see how it’d be more daunting in the UK with the threat of jail hanging over their heads.
In the US there are more opportunities but I’d bet there are only a few who would be open to it.
I’ve been listening to Amir Odom on YouTube lately and I like him. Seems open-minded. In a recently video about media lies he mentioned Trump saying “good people on both sides” and provided the full quote. He then indicated that White Nationalists were bad, but nobody ever explains why, including him.
I’d love to hear a discussion between Greg and Amir about that. He may have the balls to do so but I don’t know… people have their money trains chugging along… gotta’ avoid pitfalls and WN seems to be a big one.
Don’t know him but will investigate. I watch Mcinnes and Cumia, and Mark Dice. Any more suggestions would be welcome. Simon Webb, the English chap behind History Debunked, has been referenced here, and is a very smart man whose videos are rarely over 5 minutes. That drives me nuts, that content providers in their bedrooms think that we have 37 minutes to spare while they grope their way to their point.
Amir is what I’d call a Normie-on-the-Edge but I like that he seems willing to go to places others won’t go.
He’s just some guy I stumbled across and his videos are occasionally rambling.
I think my instinct lately has been to seek out people who may be willing to cross the WN line and actually speak to someone with WN views.
I also like Janice Fiamengo. Her focus is more anti-feminist than anything else but she also mentions the anti-white stuff occasionally.
I just wish it wasn’t always the same people year after year because it seems we’re not getting anywhere.
What fascinates me is how mamy people from different groups can see what’s going on, but they cannot (or will not) see the puppet masters pulling the strings.
There must be a point of revelation in each person’s mind and I’m trying to grasp what would trigger that. It all seems obvious to us but we need more folks to come around a bit.
The reason those white-looking refugees are running furiously with their heads down is because they are trying to escape from being crushed to death by the rapidly converging REFUGEES and WELCOME halves of the trash compactor. That is a very lousy logo. Communist graphics are always strange and awkward looking.
The reason those white-looking refugees are running furiously with their heads down is because they are trying to escape from being crushed to death by the rapidly converging REFUGEES and WELCOME halves of the trash compactor. And Whites are Skywalker and the team: “3PO, shut down all the garbage mashers on the detention levels!!”
Leftists tend to be strange and awkward people. Autism is a glitch for us but a feature for them. Apologies in advance if you are autistic, but I think I can get away with offence here. Call it autistic licence.
