Special Hangover Stream on The Writers’ Bloc
Counter-Currents Radio
The lads were nursing their hangovers on Nick Jeelvy‘s special hangover edition of The Writers’ Bloc with good friends Pox Populi, Hwitgeard, American Krogan (Substack, Telegram), and Greg Johnson. It was a broad-ranging, free-form discussion on the year that passed and a look ahead at what 2023 is going to be like — and it’s now available for download and online listening.

Hitler: A Global Biography by Brendan Simms got mentioned on one of the C-C New Years 2023 podcasts.
To summarize Simms’ thesis: Adolf Hitler saw the British-US alliance as the main threat to Germany. This was owing to the power of transnational finance capital (Wall Street, City of London) which was turning Germany and much of Europe into the third world of the day. The grand strategy of the Third Reich was, therefore, to consolidate a position on the European continent to make Germany into a first world power.
The giveaway is in the book’s title, with Global right up front. Simms’ thesis can be read as a critique of 21st century globalism, where today the Atlanticist powers are permeating the entire world economically-militarily-culturally, trampling all national civilizations before them in waves of creative destruction. An implication out of Simms’ book is that Hitler saw the threat way back in the early 20th century and acted accordingly to counter it.
This may be stretching the history a bit, but when seen in light of current events, Simms does get one to think and his book is worth considering.
Pretty amazing that this was just recently published. Maybe it signifies a subtle change in the zeitgeist? More likely that’s just wishful thinking.
Thanks for the link.
What has happened to the Saturday radio broadcast (or whatever it is called, on DLive and Odysee)? Will Greg Johnson no longer be heard on Saturdays, interviewing interesting people? How have I missed the post telling of this change? Is this permanent, or just a blip for the holidays?
It is true that I am not on the Paywall, because I seem to have unending problems with passwords, but I will miss the talks.
I have decided to stop the Saturday streams. I need to focus my time and energy on projects that have more impact. The Writers’ Bloc will continue on Sundays though.
Thanks so much for your information on the Saturday chats — I’ll miss you, but it opens up my Saturdays to doing more yardwork — watering trees for more oxygen — saving the planet and all that.
We will really look forward to the results of at least one of your books — the one on ‘The Great Replacement’. It’s very much needed since our despicable Republicans are holding up everything while squabbling like little schoolboys over ‘committee assignments’ while our country is being swamped with more illegal aliens day by day!
