The Chinese exclusion act. Hmm, of all the groups they could have deported, that would have been my exact. last. choice.
But what was our finest hour? I would say the Mexican American war or any of those wars of expansion which resulted in a higher destiny for the white race in America. The battle of New Orleans or those conflicts which forged a proud national identity. The immigration restriction act? True, it was overturned , but had it never been, maybe things would have proceeded at a rapider pace than they have. Maybe things would have been like they were in Bolshevik Russia.
