Can We Stop Pretending Yet?
The Obama Amnesty

Gregory Hood

brownfreeloaders1,674 words

Can we stop pretending yet? Can we please just stop with this sick farce of Constitutions, and Dreams, and Exceptionalisms and all the rest of it?

It’s over. It’s done. The Experiment failed.

At this point, what is the point of all this?

Barack Obama just abolished immigration law by granting amnesty to an estimated five million illegal immigrants. All of the children of these illegal immigrants will be citizens. He did this unilaterally and illegally. We know it was illegal because he told us so on multiple occasions over the last few years.

If the rule of law, the principle of sovereignty, and even the distinction between foreigner and citizen is to be abolished, why do we have this government to begin with? It seems incredible that this massive apparatus commanding vast intelligence agencies, terrifying military and paramilitary forces, and nightmarish weapons capable of destroying the world ten times over is simply giving up.

History tells us that revolutions occur when the ruling class loses faith in its right to lead. To the more conservative among us, it might seem like this is precisely what is happening. An exhausted white ruling class is simply giving in to demographic reality. As Bill O’Reilly noted after Barack Obama’s re-election, the “white establishment is now the minority.”

Yet there’s something deeper underneath all this. Contra the predictions of imminent collapse, the federal government is now reporting record tax revenues and our expanding federal deficit means little as long as the dollar is secure as the world’s reserve currency. Some believe that other powers are rising to counter American influence, particularly Russia. Yet the entire Russian stock market is worth less than Apple (as are Singapore and Italy). And the United States has overtaken Saudi Arabia and is now the biggest oil producer in the world. Put simply, the pax Americana continues and Bismarck is proven correct – “There is a special providence for drunkards, fools, and the United States of America.”

The terrible truth is that the decision to essentially hand over the country to a foreign population is being done from a position of strength. The ruling powers of the country have made the conscious decision that they can tighten their control by electing a new people. The new Third World “American” population will be willing to accept lower living standards and the transfer or resources from labor to capital. At the same time, the multicultural Left is far more concerned about attacking European-Americans and transferring their wealth to nonwhites than seriously confronting structural inequality. Socialism has been replaced by racial socialism and both “Right” and “Left” are aligned against the remnants of Middle America.

Dana Milbank (a man, evidently) in a column giggling about the “tired blood” of white Americans, wrote that the United States is undergoing a “rapid decoupling of race and nationality.” Such racial mysticism is quite acceptable when it is used as a weapon against whites. But Milbank is slightly off — the United States is actually undergoing a rapid decoupling of nation and state.

As Carl Schmitt taught, the “friend-enemy” distinction is critical to understanding the structure of politics and the purpose of the state. After the age of nationalism, a state was held to be the political expression of a particular people, with citizens who belonged to both the state and the nation (the ethnic community) being the pillar of each state.

This is usually compromised, as there are usually many citizens of the state who aren’t members of the ethnic community. Nonetheless, each state has a “core” population that gives its character to the state. For the United States, it is the White Anglo-Saxon Protestant founding population that answered Samuel Huntington’s question, Who Are We?, with the larger European population assimilating into this basic type.

Obama’s amnesty represents something rarely seen – a formal acknowledgement that the “state” is turning against the “nation.” The core European-American population – what Peter Brimelow of VDARE calls the “historic American nation” – is disposable. Indeed, in the eyes of our rulers, both Republican and Democrat, it is a liability. And as Jack Donovan has said, it makes sense, from their perspective.

Therefore, any critique premised upon this being American leaders being “stupid” is misguided. Even the eventual loss of American territory – a real possibility someday, if not anytime soon – doesn’t really represent a “loss” to our leaders. Indeed, it is actually a benefit, a development that paves away for the eventual European Union-style economic and political integration of the North American continent. As Sam Francis spent his career explaining, the current leadership of the United States has no real stake in the continued existence of the American national community.

So why bother waving a flag or being loyal to a “nation?” It seems self-evident that European-Americans should turn on those who have betrayed them, renounce the failed American experiment, and secure their own destroy by any means necessary – secession, rebellion, and the eventual goal of the White Republic. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple.

The very beneficiaries of the government’s largesse are those who are most eager to destroy the symbols of the state. We are in an ironic position where the government subsidizes and rewards those who burn its flag and attack its law enforcement officers.

Meanwhile, European-Americans who are consistently betrayed and sabotaged by own government are still eager to leap to the defense of the symbols of the Old Republic and lay down their lives to fight her perceived enemies.

Nor is this simply European-Americans being foolish or stupid. One is reminded of Commander George Lincoln Rockwell, a man who openly paraded under the swastika of German National Socialism, saving an American flag from being destroyed at the hands of a Vietnam War protester. Even those who should know better (including me) find themselves moved by the symbols and songs of national institutions that we know full well are being used against our people.

This takes the form of a curious doublethink. If a right-minded friend wears an upside-down American flag or even burns the federal banner, I’ll approve it as a form of outraged protest and response to betrayal. If I see pro-immigration protesters burning the flag and cursing out the United States, I’m probably getting in a fight and going to jail to try to save that bit of cloth. I fully recognize the absurdity of this. It changes nothing.

It’s all very well to write a critique snarking about some “Tea Party patriot” in Murietta, CA waving the flag of the United States Army to protest the decisions of the government those soldiers are defending. But even though it makes no logical sense, the actions of misguided paleo-Americans still somehow rings true.

The United States of America still belongs to European-Americans in some primal way that can never be transferred via a piece of paper. The flag is still ours in some way that can’t be touched by anyone else. And this remains true even though the rot was present at the beginning of the American experiment and it’s hard to see how America could have ended up any other way.

If European-Americans can’t break away from this totemic fixation on the United States, they will not long survive. White survival on this continent depends upon the historic American nation recognizing that it is a European population and but a branch of a greater Western family. The pathetic fear of American conservatives that “we will end up like a European nation” and must remain a New Jerusalem is what has led us to this point.

But this will be far easier said than done. The psychic hold of the American Dream on our people will not be easily sundered. What is required is an ingathering, a conscious attempt by activists and thinkers to form the core of a self-aware people. Political activity framed explicitly as in the interests of European-Americans will further this ingathering. We have to give our enemies what they want and let their hatred and rage at our collective activity forge our people together in spite of ourselves.

Yet it’s equally true any mass movement of European-Americans will borrow heavily from the iconography and rhetoric of the very regime it is rebelling against. Even the Confederate States of America took as its seal the image of the Father of Our Country, George Washington, the federal government’s first President and an advocate of strong central authority.

Moreover, the breakdown of the United States, which is already unlikely in the short term, won’t necessarily lead to some glorious new dawn for European-American populations. After all, what “ethno-nationalism” could conceivably emerge ex nihilo out of the North American Empire? It seems far more likely that if the United States collapsed tomorrow with whites in their current deracinated state, we would simply end up with miniature versions of the same system that we have today. It might even be worse, as we could simply be citizens of “independent states” that function as colonies of international finance.

Regardless of what metapolitics or theoretical construct is created, European-Americans are now a common people with a common destiny on this continent by virtue of nothing else than that is how they are regarded by their enemies. These enemies now include the very people who govern “their” country. We are but one among the various stakeholders on this continent. We are divided amongst ourselves by region, religion, and political orientation, but such differences do not change our common fate.

No progress will be made unless European-Americans become conscious of themselves as Europeans abroad, as a people in their own right, and as possessing a destiny separate from that of the larger Washington, D.C. regime. The actions of the Obama Administration and the accelerating hysteria of the media against European-Americans is actually simplifying our task. Now that it is clear that the Washington regime is willing to do without us, we must be willing to do without it, at least within our own minds.

I’d like to get outraged by Obama’s amnesty of the invaders, but it’s hard to work myself up to it. Why?

The amnesty’s not much of a break from the policies implemented by the elites over the past several decades: Globalization. De facto open borders (now de jure). Importing third worlders into white homelands. Sanctions against white rule in Rhodesia-South Africa. Endless mindless social engineering in the name of “equality.” The criminalization of dissenters when it comes to questioning that same “equality.” Surrendering to third world urban guerrillas whether they are pillaging ancient European cities or running amok in a Ferguson.

Your article nicely summarizes the processes at work behind the amnesty. Your comments are the sort of thing that all white people who want to take back their destinies need to read, understand–and act on.

The question is as always, what is to be done?

It’s fairly obvious that the US “government” has long since decided to severe its loyalty to the traditional American people. If so, then the American people owe the US “government” nothing in return. There are any number of alternatives which can be batted around:

    * Form warlord bands. Seriously, something like the militia movement or even urban gangs (but without the criminal element). Stake out a territory, whether on real estate or the virtual world of the internet. Be loyal only to leaders who return that loyalty. Advocate white interests. Make yourself the local power brokers and get the elites to negotiate on your terms.

    * Network with whites globally. Get white Americans to work with nationalist parties and groups in Europe, Australia/NZ and South Africa. Form an international front for white interests. The corporations and the left operate globally–there is no reason that WN can not also do the same. And then use such networks as the precursor for a new transnational white ethno-state.

    * Form alliances with mainstreamers. A lot of conservative and middle of the road anti-immigration activists will be alienated by Obama’s amnesty; and they will be even more alienated by the failure of establishment politicians to make a stand on this issue. They can be open to a political line from WN if it is intelligently presented. WN can provide the leadership which is otherwise lacking not just on immigration but many other issues which concern white people.

    * Form alliances with local police. Yeah, I know, there has been bad blood between the cops and WN in the past. But the current situation in Ferguson may be opening up a lot of eyes. Street cops understand the reality of race from up front experience. And now they are being backstabbed by the Obama administration which is cheerleading the Ferguson uprising while opening the frontiers to an invasion of third world gangbangers and criminal cartels. They can see the ultimate criminals are in DC and on Wall Street. They can see the situation is only going to get worse. And they may be looking for alternatives.

These are all ideas, of course. But it’s clear the situation is breaking loose and there is great opportunity here for WN political activism.

Most of those illegals are Mexicans, Mexico is a borderline failed state and the Central American countries are probably worse.

Most of the famous and successful “Latinos” the US are Puerto Ricans, Dominicans and Cubans.

Puerto Ricans and Dominicans?? Are you kidding me? There are lots of them in the Northeast and they’re awful, even worse than the Mexicans when it comes to crime and dysfunction. Most of them have very obvious Negroid ancestry and it’s reflected in their behavior.

The successful “Hispanics” in the U.S. tend to come from South America. I’ve encountered many bright Colombians, Peruvians, Brazilians, Chileans, etc. in top-ranked graduate programs. I’m as pro-White as it gets, but for the sake of the honesty I have to admit that some of these students were visibly mixed.

On the other hand, the Mexicans we get are from the dregs. Then we exacerbate matters by giving them welfare and encouraging them to have 10 children per family. It’s a disaster. We’re increasing the amount of unemployable mouths to feed.

It seems incredible that this massive apparatus commanding vast intelligence agencies, terrifying military and paramilitary forces, and nightmarish weapons capable of destroying the world ten times over is simply giving up.

That looks like the wrong way of putting it. The massive apparatus was going to do something like this earlier or later. I would say that since 1945 it was just a matter of time…

A rather long wail from Mr Hood!!

Let me quote from an article in Financial Times published yesterday. The author is FT’s US editor, Gary Silverman

”For all the bellyaching about immigrants, the US is probably more skilled at absorbing people from other countries than sending them away. Before national quotas were introduced for immigrants in 1924, it was “very easy to enter the country”, according to Columbia University’s Mae Ngai, author of Impossible Subjects: Illegal Aliens and the Making of Modern America. “If there is a pattern in American history over the course of the 20th century, we have always had some provision to regularise the status of people who have been here illegally. However, these provisions have usually been accompanied with provisions for stricter enforcement.”

In other words – whether you like it or not, whether you like Mr Obama or not – we are all going to have to learn to live with each other.” (end quote)

So there you have it. The American political – commercial – intellectual elite’s attitude to Illegal alien issue very neatly surmised by Mr Silverman.

I was reading the OPEC’s World Oil Outlook 2014 report a few days ago. It forecasts explicitly and (I would say) conservatively that some 80 million people will move from 3rd world countries to OECD (read Western Europe and America) countries over the next 25 years. Can you imagine the scenario then?

No amount of legislation, border guards, wailing and hand-wringing can stop this invasion for that is what it is. Such invasions are stopped by people who will defend their space with pride and determination, believing that what they defend is their organic, ancestral legacy.

Americans have been prepared for this invasion by their ”masters” over the last few decades by the invention of new myths. Yes, myths. One of those myths is tacked on Lady Liberty penned by Emma Lazarus.

Those who control both sides of the debate to utterly confound the Euro-American mind have won again. A little too late for wailing.

OBAMA’S AMNESTY IS ILLEGAL AND NULL AND VOID AS A MATTER OF LAW.
    HERE ARE SOME LEGAL OPTIONS.

Thanks for the excellent article, Sir! A wholesale “waiver” of law leads to lawlessness, which this is. Also, only rights, not obligations can be waived. The President has an obligation to deport illegal aliens, to protect Americans’ safety and jobs, so that cannot be waived.

Obama does not have the legal authority to make law—he can only enforce existing laws. So I believe his executive amnesty is null and void as a matter of law for the above reasons.

So what can we do? Here are some legal options:

    1. Congress must sue him and try to vacate this illegal executive order.

    2. Congress must try to impeach him.

    3. Congress must appoint a special prosecutor and indict him for official misconduct, including illegally posing as President even though he is not a US citizen, and for crimes against humanity, which alienism is.

    4. Congress must block all his appointments and all funding for everything.

    5. Congress must take away his secret service protections, his pension, etc.

    6. Congress must pass a law (which they can override his veto on) declaring that all federal officials must FOLLOW THE LAW AND DISOBEY ILLEGAL EXECUTIVE ORDERS.

I believe there is a law like that on the books already, but a new statute mandating that for all federal workers, the federal statutes supersedes executive orders can be passed or made more clear and strict. Those federal workers, including immigration Judges (who are executive branch bureaucrats mostly), who violate the statute (irrespective of executive orders) shall be guilty of felony. And every US citizen will have standing to sue them in their own district (the plaintiff’s) for at least $10,000 in punitive damages, if it involves violation of immigration statutes.

It is a law already that statutes supersede executive orders, so Obama’s executive orders are illegal already, but by making every federal and state worker who follows such illegal executive orders individually liable criminally and civilly, we can really make it more powerful.

So imagine, every federal worker, including an immigration Judge, who gives any benefit to an alien can be sued all over the country and made to pay $10,000 if he/she follows any executive order that is not authorized or inconsistent with the statute.

    7. Make a law that neither the President nor the US govt. can “waive” anything by executive action or issue an executive order inconsistent with the statutes. Doing so is a criminal and civil offense as above and he can be sued individually and no immunities shall apply.

    8. Congress must pass a law declaring alienism as a crime against humanity. So any govt. employee, private company, etc. that supports alienism can be tried for crimes against humanity. No immunity and no statute of limitations.

    9. Finally, the people must amend the constitution to allow irreversible binding superseding national referenda, so people can pass good laws in the national interest themselves. These laws will supersede laws passed by Congress or Parliaments and Sup. Ct. rulings and cannot be overturned except on constitutional grounds by a supermajority of both houses and a unanimous vote of the Supreme Court. The people can thereupon override them with a 66% vote. Laws that affect the nation as a whole, such as raising taxes, large welfare programs, foreign aid, immigration, bailouts, and raising the debt ceilings, etc. can become law only if finally approved by the people. We will solve 90% of our problems this way.

“Nonetheless, each state has a “core” population that gives its character to the state. For the United States, it is the White Anglo Saxon Protestant founding population that answered Samuel Huntington’s question, Who Are We?, with the larger European population assimilating into this basic type.”

Even with this mild sentence, Hood is off into political no man’s land, as Polite Opinion holds that there is no core ethno-cultural group in the USA at all (which is actually absurd, but it’s there all the same).

This it the kind of issue that outsiders can see more clearly than Americans themselves. Foreigners living outside the USA (i.e. not subject to the forces of socialization and propaganda that Americans are) understand it. In my time around the world, I’ve heard it many times from non-Westerners. In a sense, they believe Americans to be Whites of (mostly) NW-European ancestry, implied (Protestant) Christianity, and certain cultural attitudes they can’t put their finger on. In this sense, many foreigners don’t really even view the Blacks present on U.S. soil for centuries as true Americans.

When non-Westerners says things like “He looks very American” there implied meaning that he looks, say, like Clint Eastwood circa the 1970s (or someone who could plausibly be a blood relative thereof absent race-mixing; i.e. not Obama).

At some level, residents of the USA all know this. Jews like Silberman (comment #5 above) despite his fiery rhetoric, especially know it, which is why they attack it so furiously, of course.

I don’t think the situation can last 5-10 more years. I know, I know, many have said that before, but look at the data and the news for yourself.

Central banks are monetizing debt and acquiring gold. Oil prices are collapsing because nobody can afford the hard to reach, expensive stuff and conventional crude has peaked. Humanity worldwide is rapidly using up the resources that nature took millions of years to form. Stocks and housing are one giant reinflated bubble. The U.S. now has a bankrupt warfare/welfare state and 2 consecutive Presidents, each with 2 terms, that are horribly unpopular and ineffective.

It’s not going to go on. I’m certain of this.

I grew up in the Los Angeles of the nineties so I never really knew a white america. But I look at the United States of the 1950s and 1960s (excluding the hippy movement) as being an idyllic society. The America of today I want no part of. I see it as serving an anti-white and Jewish agenda. So more and more I can identify with the anti-american left. Still, I feel defensive when leftists criticize America for the wrong reasons.

This is an astute article. I appreciated the ironic and succinct observation: “the “state” is turning against the “nation.” Its bizarre, the world turned upside down. I understand the author’s sentiments about wanting to protect the symbols of the nation. I spent 3 years in the military and still that patriotism and loyalty to the flag in spite of the corruption and twisted nature of the state that it represents.

I’m not sure that I buy the argument that the U.S. was doomed to this from the beginning. I take the author’s assertion to mean that the colonists injected liberalism into the state, and (as proposed by de Benoist) liberalism necessarily mutates with time into liberal insanity. I believe that if the refugees from the progroms had been denied entry, we would have seen completely different developments here.

I take it that you took it wrong. My first surmising of Hood’s assertion was that the nation- state was not codified as an explicitly and permanently White entity. Also the religio-cultural expression of the founding peoples was Christian and Protestant in an absolute sense – 99% Prot., 1% RC. While persons should not (and in truth cannot be coerced into any sincere (non-brainwashed internalization of) belief, still the fundamental cultural structure should be upheld by the state rather than sabotaged as has clearly been done.

This, in my view (and is this not obvious?), was the fatal flaw in the founding legal and covenantal expressions of what Americans were and should ever have been.
