The target, the contract, the money, the hit, right? Wrong. In light of the recent Dublin riots, I thought I would write something Irish-themed and settled on Troy Duffy’s The Boondock Saints, a cult Tarantino knockoff movie from 1999 with Irish-Catholic themes. In the process of researching this I discovered the documentary Overnight about the making of the film — which is actually a far more interesting movie in itself. You can watch it here.

A white friend of mine has curly hair. This eight-word sentence shouldn’t be too shocking, and her appearance is certainly nothing jarring when seen in public. In the era of limitless promotion of miscegenation and glorification of all things black, however, my friend is seemingly not allowed to be plain old white in the eyes of the average adherent to our oligarchy’s race-doctrine. “What are you?” is a question she’s casually received in reference to her race. When she flatly responds that she’s white, a typical retort is something along the lines of, “Oh, you look so ethnic,” and her curly hair is almost always referenced. (more…)

Some of my best reviews are about Quentin Tarantino, but this won’t be one of them. Tarantino has gone from a director I loved (see my essay on Pulp Fiction), to a director I loved to hate (see my reviews of Kill Bill 1 and Inglourious Basterds), to a director I just hated (Django Unchained), to a director I just ignored.
Tarantino’s only great movie is Pulp Fiction, and at this point it is safe to declare that one a fluke. (more…)

Unlike Inglorious Basterds (2009) and Django Unchained (2012), which were both drenched in violence against whites, Tarantino’s latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is a surprisingly wholesome and pro-white film that pays homage to old Hollywood and white male movie stardom.
The main characters are washed-up actor Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his stunt double and driver, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). (more…)

Pulp Fiction Quentina Tarantina se řadí k mým nejoblíbenějším filmům. Nechtěl jsem, aby se mi líbil – původně jsem na něj dokonce ani nechtěl jít. Podle všeho co jsem o něm slyšel, jsem film měl za naprosto nihilistický a dosti odpudivý počin. The following text is a scrap rescued from obscurity and buffed up a bit. In 2002, a reader of VNN suggested that the site’s movie reviewers post their “Ten Best” lists. I found it impossible to settle on just ten best films. So I decided to produce a “Favorites” list instead. I came up with more than thirty movies.
