De-banking has arrived in Great Britain. Or rather, it has been going on for some time, but now it’s happened to someone with media leverage. Nigel Farage, the ex-financier who engineered Brexit, was contacted by his bank and told his account was being closed down. The bank in question is Coutts & Co., an exclusive concern who won’t even let you sit down if you haven’t got a million quid. The Queen used to bank there, although the current King seems the sort of personage who might give his money to that nice Nigerian chap who emailed him about his uncle also being a King and having made a will. Leftists ruin everything. Nothing, not even children’s toys, is immune from their hateful ideology. A case in point is Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. There are countless women who played with Barbie dolls as children, put them aside when they grew up, and occasionally think nostalgically about them without ever suspecting that they were the targets of Leftist consciousness-raising. But from the very start, Barbie sets them straight.

Barbie begins with a voiceover that sounds like a witch. In the bad old days, little girls only played with baby dolls, which their cunning parents foisted on them to brainwash them into wanting to become mothers. (more…)

The celebrated American writer Jack London is best known for stories of adventure such as White Fang, The Call of the Wild, and “To Build a Fire” — the last being a chilling tale, indeed. Some of his writings were informed by his political views, a synthesis which is quite rare nowadays. London made an early contribution to dystopian literature with The Iron Heel, a novel about the formation of the leviathan state. Written in 1907, it precedes the more famous works by Aldous Huxley, George Orwell, and even Yevgeny Zamyatin. Since it’s explicitly revolutionary and socialism features heavily in it, it’s hardly surprising that it is the author’s pinkest novel. Still, don’t let that deter you. (more…)
