Dick van Galen Last (1952 – 2010) was a librarian and senior researcher for the NIOD Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His Ph.D. dissertation was on the use of sub-Saharan African troops during World War I and the following French occupation of the Rhineland in the 1920s. The dissertation was edited and published as a book after his death. (more…)

In his 1920 book The Rising Tide of Color Against White World-Supremacy, Lothrop Stoddard warned that unless an immediate moratorium was placed on non-white immigration into white-majority countries, white dominance over geopolitical affairs would be lost amid a “tide” of non-white fecundity. Theodore Lothrop Stoddard was born on this day in 1883. Stoddard was a historian, political theorist, and white advocate. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts, Stoddard attended Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude in 1905. He then studied law at Boston University. Stoddard received his Ph.D. in history from Harvard University in 1914. Stoddard was the author of eighteen books, the best known of which is The Rising Tide of Color Against White World Supremacy (1920), which proved prophetic. As a white preservationist, Stoddard campaigned for immigration reform,  anti-miscegenation laws, and eugenics. (more…)

Then Stoddard describes the Hitler Youth and related organizations. Although there were some positive aspects to them, they also resulted in some regrettable family conflicts over politics stemming from friction with the churches, which didn’t want youths to be diverted into a secular organization. In that regard, making membership in the youth organizations compulsory was an overreach. (On the other hand, if we had an obligatory youth group like that today, then we wouldn’t have a wigger problem.) (more…)

What was life like during the Third Reich? An accurate picture is fairly difficult to arrive at, given the propaganda saturation persisting generations after the fact. Watching Hollywood movies won’t provide a balanced take, for obvious reasons. Neither will reruns of Hogan’s Heroes on late-night cable TV. War fever tends to fade as time goes on. Throughout the 1970s, I never heard anyone exhorting anyone to “Remember the Maine!” as if the Spanish-American War had ended yesterday, for example. (more…)

Edward Alsworth Ross (1866-1951) was a prominent professor and eugenicist. He wasn’t a man of the Right in the strictest sense — he argued that the United States should recognize the Soviet Union after the Bolshevik Revolution and he supported Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal. However, one could fairly call him a white advocate. He focused on preserving America’s founding Nordic stock.
