A news conference held on April 17 provided an update on the largest gold theft in Canadian history. A shipment of gold had arrived from Zurich, Switzerland exactly a year before and was then offloaded at Pearson International Airport, but then disappeared. Where could it have gone? The situation is unprecedented.

According to the Peel Regional Police (PRP), on April 17, 2023 a flight from Zurich landed at Pearson that was carrying a veritable fortune comprising 6,600 bars of .9999% pure gold, worth $20 million, along with a further $2.5 million in foreign currency. The shipment was offloaded shortly thereafter and stored at another location within the airport. That very night, the gold shipment was reported missing. (more…)

English football fans in Europe during the 1980s and ‘90s were not ambassadors either for the British game or Britain itself. Increasingly cheap flights across Europe meant that vast numbers of fat, pasty, sweaty, bald or balding men were able to enjoy spoiling the afternoons of those wishing to use cafés and bars in Portugal, or France, or Malta.

Whenever England or a top English side played in Europe, a town square somewhere would soon fill with beer bellies on shirtless, gross, and grubby torsos. (more…)

What we are witnessing, like onlookers at a 1960s moonshot, is a history which may be replaced one day, maybe very soon — expunged, overwritten, wiped clean like the blackboards schoolchildren used to be allowed to use. I remember what air travel was like in the dark and moldy days before social progress. Back then, you could board your plane without being forced to arrive at the airport two hours before flight time and to wade glumly through labyrinthine lines where grumpy black TSA agents tore through your baggage and you had to raise your hands over your head like a criminal suspect as federal machines scanned your body to see if you’d hidden guns or drugs under your nuts. Public transit construction, maintenance, and operation in Canada, like in so many countries, typically involves massive public expenditures, graft, incompetence, and cost overruns for any number of dubious reasons. And once the system is up and running there are equipment breakdowns and retroactive inquiries into procurement corruption, not to mention criminal activity as thugs target a captive commuter population. Sometimes it does work, but at other times, it fails spectacularly. When it does function, it is maintained by men and women with some sort of real, technical expertise. (more…)

The Great Replacement is both a demographic and a cultural phenomenon. It consists, on the one hand, of encouraging low birth rates among Europeans and their colonial offshoots by promoting secularism and hedonism, guilt and shame for their ancestors and culture, and the virtues of childlessness. Simultaneously, its architects support open borders and increased immigration from the Third World, ostensibly for humanitarian motives or to compensate for population decline among the native-born population.
