My relationship with the band Iron Maiden has been one of love and hate over the years (“The thin line between love and hate”?). My first conscious encounter with the band’s music (their name was already familiar to me because someone had taken the liberty of spray-painting “Iron Maiden” across the street from my school in the early ’90s) was through the album Virtual XI (yes, with Blaze Bayley on vocals), which to this day is one of my favorites. The wifejak meme has been the source of some controversy recently. Wifejak is a spin on the wojak meme. She’s a relatable character who says “woman things” that anyone who has been around a woman knows well. Essentially, the meme (which has existed for months but is apparently only now generating controversy after husbandjak, daughterjak, and sonjak have entered the stage) is lightly poking fun at women for being predictable and archetypical. I think the decline of guitar music, an all-conquering cultural force in the latter half of the 20th century, has been a tragedy and not just because what has come to replace it is qualitatively inferior. I think it’s bad because starting a band used to be a pro-social thing that white kids could do together. I think it was Dave Mustaine who once said that playing in a band together was as close as four guys could get without having sex. (more…)

Advertising is considered an extension of show business.
Sir Martin Sorrell, Chairman of marketing group WPPAdvertising seems a very modern phenomenon but it has been with us for millennia. A Roman tavern with a painting of a vine over the door was advertising for customers. A piece of papyrus found in Egypt and dated to around 3000 BC was written by a weaver wishing to persuade his fellow citizens to use his services rather than those of his competitors. (more…)

Joe Biden has pardoned his crackhead son Hunter. As you will recall, Hunter helpfully recorded on his laptop evidence of him committing dozens of crimes, from reckless driving, drug use, weapons violations, and hiring prostitutes—all the way to bribery and influence peddling, which, of course, implicated his father as well. Then he dropped his laptop off for repair and forgot about it. (more…)

Whenever the topic of “white privilege” comes up, the near-universal response on the right is to bring up the existence of struggling white people. One often comes across a sepia-toned photograph of unkempt, underfed young white children, probably taken by Dorothea Lange, with the words “white privilege” emblazoned on it in scare quotes in the default Imgflip font. On the one hand, this meme works in our favor and is a clever way of stoking popular resentment toward the left. However, as an argument, it misses the point. (more…)

Talking about pro-white politics on social media is all well and good in terms of the nebulous moving of the Overton Window. But there are really only a handful of strategies the pro-white community can implement which would be long lasting, game changing, and decisive to our long-term goals. Among them: (more…)

The Counter-Currents 2024 Fundraiser
Prove Them RightIt brings me great satisfaction and joy each time a politician, media pundit, or purported “extremism expert” makes some version of the claim that “White Nationalism is the greatest threat to the United States” or “White Nationalism is the biggest danger to ‘Our Democracy.’” What these individuals really mean, of course, is that White Nationalism poses the greatest threat to the legitimacy of the current regime and to their own power and prestige.
