In Canada, euthanasia, euphemistically termed Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), has become a legally sanctioned end-of-life option since its introduction in 2016. This program allows eligible individuals suffering from grievous medical conditions to request assistance from healthcare providers to end their own lives, either through “clinician-administered” drugs or self-administered prescriptions. Reni Eddo-Lodge is a journalist and commentator about race and feminism. She – I hope I’m not assuming gender here – is of Nigerian ancestry and resides in Britain. The cover of her book seems like a promise. At first one might see “Why I’m No Longer Talking About Race” and shout, Al Hamd’ulIlah! Maybe underneath the cover it’s an empty notebook for doodling or journal entries, huh? On closer examination, one sees that there are also some nearly-invisible letters, and the full title actually is “Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race.” Hey, I’m at peace with that too; haven’t we already heard more than enough skintellectuals sullenly speechifying? It’s well known to us that distorted historical narratives are a common manipulation tactic. For the masses, though, many still remain spellbound by guilt trips. I’ll go into a deep dive on that at a later date, but for now, I’ll keep it simple. Be sure to share this one with your civnat friends, and any educable liberals in your life. Getting rid of a heap of undeserved guilt should be a tremendous load off of their minds, and with no expensive therapy sessions needed! (more…)

Whenever the topic of “white privilege” comes up, the near-universal response on the right is to bring up the existence of struggling white people. One often comes across a sepia-toned photograph of unkempt, underfed young white children, probably taken by Dorothea Lange, with the words “white privilege” emblazoned on it in scare quotes in the default Imgflip font. On the one hand, this meme works in our favor and is a clever way of stoking popular resentment toward the left. However, as an argument, it misses the point. (more…)

Part 3 of 3 (Part 1 here, Part 2 here)
Is police brutality really about race?
I’ll give the chapter’s title a short answer. Of course police brutality is about race. After all, remember the Prime Directive! “It is about race if a person of color thinks it is about race.” Multitudes of them believe that police brutality is about race, and that makes it true; modus ponens, QED. In a 2015 article, John Derbyshire drew a distinction between “Goodwhites” and “Badwhites.” The “Goodwhites” were the well-meaning anti-racist white liberals, whereas the “Badwhites” were those who dared to differ with modern egalitarian orthodoxies. (more…)

Sepoys on the dark side of the Moon
India may not seem to lie within the remit of this column, but bear with me. Britain’s ex-colony — which seems to be a description that fits a lot of nations now outpacing the old country — has just landed a spacecraft on the Moon, although it has not been confirmed whether, in line with Indian trains, there were dozens of people hanging off its hull. Imagine that you’re an organic dairy farmer in Pennsylvania, as trad as can be. One day, while you’re supposed to be milking the cows by hand, someone catches you at your side gig. Specifically, you’re working on your cloud-hosted Hyper-V cluster, adding a DNS reverse lookup zone to the Active Directory domain controller so the DHCP server can assign PTR records when it leases IP addresses. Obviously, your Amish brethren won’t cotton to that. They might shun you for apostasy, and perhaps stack one count of felony TCP/IP administration onto your sentence. Still, luckily for you at least the Amish Ordnungspolizei won’t put out a contract on you. (more…)

In 2019 the Hollywood Reporter gathered together seven Hollywood executives regarded as being among the most powerful in the business for a roundtable discussion, which is pictured here (click to enlarge). From the left, they are Scott Stuber, head of original films for Netflix; then-Disney Co-Chair Alan Horn; Tom Rothman, “Chairperson” of Sony Pictures; Donna Langley, Chairwoman of Universal; the moderator; then-Warner Bros. Chairman Toby Emmerich; then-Paramount CEO Jim Gianopulos; and Amazon Studio Chief Jennifer Salke. All of the executives are Jews except for Langley, although she attends events at the Simon Wiesenthal Center; and Gianopulos, who is Greek Orthodox, although he has been “honored” by the Center. Horn, Emmerich, and Gianopulos have since all been replaced by other Jews.

In 1996, while hosting the “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday Night Live, Norm Macdonald made the following comment:
“Earlier this week, actor Marlon Brando met with Jewish leaders to apologize for comments he made on Larry King Live — among them, that ‘Hollywood is run by Jews.’ The Jewish leaders accepted the actor’s apology and announced that Brando is now free to work again.”
Macdonald later explained that this was one of his all-time favorite “jokes” because all he did was report exactly what happened. What actually happened was funny enough without the need for any extra setup or embellished punchline. (more…)

“Malevolent” Ram Kills African Woman, Gets Three Years in Prison
In a shocking case of ram-on-black violence, an unnamed adult male sheep in South Sudan recently attacked a 45-year-old black woman named Adhieu Chaping, killing her almost instantly. At press time it remains unclear what the ram’s motivation was — it could have been for money, or due to unrequited love, or simply a manifestation of the interspecies hatred and violence that have plagued the sprawling, worthless Dark Continent for millennia now. Introduction to The Batman
The new Gotham city, presented by director Matt Reeves and inhabited/stalked by Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, is gothic and atmospheric. On the first of two viewings, I found myself so enamored by the backgrounds and music that I was less focused on the dialogue. Gotham is not merely a backdrop to the events taking place but is brought to life and is almost a character in its own right. Bruce Wayne’s “Batcave” is an abandoned subway station beneath Wayne Tower, which also houses his gothic-styled manor. (more…)
