Seeing the fuss being made about the death of George Floyd in the mainstream media in May 2020, and gathering that it was if anything worse on social media, I started keeping a “Black Lives Matter diary” to record subsequent events and my thoughts about them. In September 2017 a young black man reportedly stripped naked in the street, barged into the home of his white girlfriend whom he had dated for two years, pulled her outside and repeatedly slammed her head into the ground, killing her.
