Henry Nowak’s unnecessary death in the callously indifferent claws of the people who should have saved him is primarily about race. But not far behind race is the problem of who staffs positions of authority in society. Who will watch the watchers? Personnel is policy, and especially for positions of authority. But the people who pursue positions of authority are often the exact opposite of the type of people who should staff them. And Western regimes intensify this problem because it is to their benefit. Edited by Greg Johnson and Peter Jacobi
In 1995, Jonathan Bowden self-published his Collected Works in six volumes (London: Avant-Garde, 1995), edited by Jürgen Schwartz, one of Bowden’s pen names. These volumes comprise 27 distinct books, 12 of which had been previously published. Altogether, the Collected Works contain more than 2,600 pages of rare early Bowden.
Deliverance is the fifth book in the second volume. It had not been previously published. We will publish it online in seven installments. (more…)

Authorities confirmed this week that human remains that had been found in western Pennsylvania earlier this month belonged to a 14-year-old “trans girl” by the name of Pauly Likens. DaShawn Watkins, a 29-year-old black male who met Likens via the dating app Grindr, has been charged with murdering Likens and dismembering his corpse. Predictably, this incident has elicited condemnations of “transphobic” conservatives (and “TERFs”), whom the Left accuses of spreading “hate” and causing “hate crimes.” (more…)

Foreword by Petr Hampl
Associate Professor Martin Konvička is a widely respected biologist. He is mainly interested in butterflies and other small insects. That’s of no interest to Counter-Currents readers, however. What is more interesting is that as a biologist he looks at different cultures, civilizations, and social classes and judges them in terms of mating patterns, and often in terms of the statistical incidence of various sexual deviations as well — because again, these are just certain mating patterns. Popular YouTube shorts personality Andrew Tate is a man of contrasts. He claims to be a man of God, yet persists in earning income as an OnlyFans tycoon. He implores women to have children as they did in the past, but advocates for men to make outrageous displays of wealth to attract them. Because of these extremes, he’s part sage and part pied piper. There is joy in danger. — Napoleon
Psychopathy seems like the epitome of evil. As we’ll see, however, one characteristic of psychopathy is associated with at least one virtue.
Psychopathy can’t be cured; it can only be managed. Perhaps John Calvin had psychopaths in mind when he developed his theory of predestination: God chooses some for salvation rather than others. (more…)

Part 7 of 8 (Part 1 here, Part 6 here, Part 8 here)
In the previous part of this series, I listed the 13 occupations that have the highest number of psychopaths, but didn’t comment on all of them in detail. In this series, I examine the remaining seven. These tend to have more psychopaths than you’ll find in a random section of the population, but not nearly as many per capita as in the previous six fields. Still, they’re more likely to employ a few bad apples which may spoil the bunch.
7. Surgeons aren’t quite as socially-oriented as most of the others on this list. (more…)

The surest way to remain poor is to be honest. — Napoleon
Machiavellian psychopaths cast people as characters in schemes to gain power. They make people either subordinates or prey. As for how they cast their characters, the authors of Snakes in Suits put it thusly: (more…)

Part 3 of 8 (Part 1 here, Part 2 here, Part 4 here)
The following should only be used to supplement the Hare Checklist-Revised, the real way psychologists diagnose psychopaths. It draws heavily on excerpts from interviews with the serial killer Ed Kemper. Kemper is an unusually intelligent psychopath whose IQ was tested at 136 and 145. He seems to be more honest, too, so he makes a good case study. It also cites examples of psychopathic behaviors in the Tate brothers, Jared Fogle, and the rapper 50 Cent. (more…)

The good is one thing, and the sensuously pleasant, another. The wise choose the good. The foolish, being motivated by greed and avarice, choose the pleasant. — The Upanishads
Women are attracted to psychopaths — of the factor 1 kind, anyway. In one study, researchers showed women videos of men on a date. The more psychopathic the man was, the more women liked him, on average. The women also said the psychopathic men looked better in still photos, proving they perceived the men as having better looks.
