Ann Widdecombe is dead, and what has emerged since should unsettle anyone paying attention to the state of political discourse in the West. Her death was confirmed Friday morning by her management, after she was found dead in her isolated rural home near Haytor, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Police believe she was attacked around 12:30pm the previous Wednesday, having failed to appear for a scheduled TV interview that afternoon. A 28 year old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in South Yorkshire on Saturday. Initially, police said there was nothing to suggest a terrorism link. That has now changed. Counter Terrorism Policing has taken over the investigation, and the suspect has been re-arrested on suspicion of commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism. (more…)

Authorities confirmed this week that human remains that had been found in western Pennsylvania earlier this month belonged to a 14-year-old “trans girl” by the name of Pauly Likens. DaShawn Watkins, a 29-year-old black male who met Likens via the dating app Grindr, has been charged with murdering Likens and dismembering his corpse. Predictably, this incident has elicited condemnations of “transphobic” conservatives (and “TERFs”), whom the Left accuses of spreading “hate” and causing “hate crimes.” (more…)

Urban myths are insidious enough when they are false. But when they assume universality in the broader culture — while reflecting negatively on that culture — then they can cause people to lose faith in themselves. This is one way in which civilizations begin to decline.

For the last 60 years, one such myth is that of Kitty Genovese.

Thanks to the New York Times reporting of her grisly 1964 murder in the Kew Gardens neighborhood of Queens — during which 38 people supposedly watched and did nothing while she was stabbed to death — her name has become synonymous with bystander apathy. (more…)

If reporters and police officials are to be trusted, the fatal attack was random.

Last Monday afternoon outside a Giant Eagle supermarket in North Olmsted, Ohio that had been the scene of a murder-suicide late last June, a portly woman dressed in all-black clothing stabbed 38-year-old Margot Wood and her three-year-old son Julian. (more…)

As of late March, after the appointment of the Zambia-born Vaughan Gething as the First Minster of Wales, the only country in the British Isles with a white leader — albeit a female one — was Northern Ireland.

In April, a white male named Simon Harris replaced the brown-and-gay Leo Varadkar as the Republic of Ireland’s Taoiseach, meaning that the two nations comprising the Emerald Isle were both led by whites. (more…)

Up until June 12, 1994, white America was convinced that O. J. Simpson was “one of the good ones.” When it turned out that he wasn’t — and that black America supported him, anyway — race relations took a permanent turn for the worse.

Kriss Donald

Today I am nearly the same age that Kriss Donald would have been if he was still with us. Kriss was murdered by a Pakistani gang in his hometown of Glasgow, Scotland when I was about to go on spring break during my sophomore year of high school. Kriss was a small teenager: about 125 pounds and 5’7” (1.7 meters) at 15 years old.

I myself had a slight build much like Kriss’ at 15. I mention this because Kriss’ story changed my life in several ways, including inspiring me to take up bodybuilding as a hobby and lifestyle. (more…)
