Post-Henry Nowak Policing

It is highly unlikely that anyone reading this does not by now know the name of Henry Nowak. Henry was an 18-year-old English student who died in police custody in December of last year after a false allegation of racism was made by his Sikh murderer, which meant that the attending police officers treated the crime scene as a racist incident rather than the stabbing attack that it was. I covered the details of Henry’s death here at Counter Currents, but I want to look at the consequences of this racist killing, both politically and in the media. (more…)

America and Great Britain were trading together long before Sir Winston Churchill minted the phrase “special relationship” to describe the transatlantic accord. (It wasn’t Reagan or Thatcher who came up with that one, as is commonly supposed; they just pulled the term out of mothballs). Some American imports were and still are loved in Britain: pre-woke Hollywood, jazz, the great American novel, actually preparing food rather than just killing it and eating it with mushy vegetables. Bad chemistry

I wrote in Counter-Currents in 2021 about Professor Kathleen Stock, a philosophy lecturer hounded from her post at my alma mater, the University of Sussex, by student activists for her comments and writings on gender identity. She has recently been “deplatformed” by Oxford University, and has now come under attack from a curious source: the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

You might assume these eggheads would be busy publishing peer-reviewed papers on enzymes, salts, and various reactions in test-tubes, but their remit seems considerably wider in these heady days of woke kangaroo courts. The RSC’s new journal, Digital Discovery, has as its mission statement to publish “theoretical and experimental research at the intersection of chemistry, material science and biotechnology.” (more…)

Every now and then, scientists discover something previously unknown — some particle or planet or plant. Lately, I wonder whether anything has been discovered by these eggheads that isn’t racist. The list of what is racist grows daily, hourly: skiing, the opera, mathematics, memes with black people in them, an ordered pantry, owning dogs, punctuality, books, songs, coffee, milk (presumably coffee with milk is only drunk by the Klan or Combat-18), grammar. Remaining loyal to Yuri Bezmenov, I believe this disunity is entirely manufactured and intentional, and the main point of interest is the marginally different approaches taken to destabilizing two once-great nations.
