America is a dying nation, with dim prospects for survival and an ever-narrowing window of opportunity to turn things around. Our problems, moreover, are overwhelmingly domestic. Short of nuclear war, our survival is not threatened by any foreign power. The rest of the world is hardly a threat and barely an inconvenience.

The most powerful enemies of America are within our own borders, most of them well-ensconced in the leading institutions of our society. (more…)

Only a few people have managed to rise from the dead. If I don’t count stories about gods, such as the Egyptian god Osiris and the Sumerian goddess Ishtar (Innana), the only stories I know about people coming back to life are the stories about Jesus and the Italian futurist artist Giacomo Balla, who also managed to rise from the dead. As we saw at the end of the previous installment, Alex Jones starts his manifesto against what he perceives as a plan for state-enforced “Eugenics” with Plato. While there is some justification for this, given that Plato’s Republic did present a model society (after which later plans of that sort were modeled) and also included the likely earliest mention of eugenic breeding in the Western canon [1], it is also undeniable that Jones is attempting to derive the origins of evil from the father of Western philosophy. My best Christmas present this year was the sudden emergence of a genuine American challenger to Vivek Scamaswamy, Trump’s anointed candidate for Ohio governor. The challenger’s name is Casey Putsch. On the 21st of March, 2024, I kept seeing the same avatar popping up on my X timeline and wondered, “Who the hell is Leonarda Jonie?” I first talked to her that very day.

Before she popped up on my timeline, Leonarda was an established comedian from Austin. She was a regular on the comedy podcast circuit and was known enough that Sam Hyde invited her to be his opening act for one of his Texas shows. She had 18,000 X followers, which she built up from standup alone. (more…)

Chile’s presidential campaign period concluded a few days ago with the election of José Antonio Kast Rist, a candidate running for the presidency for the third time. Several aspects of this outcome are worth noting. [2][3]
