Fundraiser Update & this Weekend’s Livestreams
Reviving the Savitri Devi Archive

Greg Johnson

1,556 words

Weekend Livestream

On Sunday, May 16th, at noon PST, 3 pm EST, 8 pm UK time, & 9 pm CET, Greg Johnson will be joined by fellow Counter-Currents Brain Trust members Millennial Woes and Frodi Midjord to discuss current events and YOUR QUESTIONS, on DLive and Odysee.

Send your questions, comments, and donations through Entropy: entropystream.live/countercurrents

Our Fundraiser

Counter-Currents is trying to raise $200,000 this year to sustain and improve our work. Since last week’s update, we have received 40 donations totaling $6,856.01 for a total of 350 donations and a grand total of $44,110.32 since we started our fundraiser on March 10th. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has helped out. Full information on how to donate appears below.

The Savitri Devi Archive

Before there was Counter-Currents, there was the Savitri Devi Archive (www.savitridevi.org), which I set up in 2006 under the pen name of R. G. Fowler in collaboration Gabriella Anelauskaite, the Webmistress. The purpose of the Archive was to promote research into the life and ideas of Savitri Devi (1905-1982) by collecting and making available her writings and recordings, as well as photographs, recollections of her friends, and other documentary materials.

Once I started Counter-Currents, however, I had less and less time to work on the Archive. I also found it cumbersome to maintain and update. Thus I stopped adding to it in 2012. I have, however, continued to collect new materials for the Archive. Some of this material was simply published at Counter-Currents, which is easier to update and exposed the material to a much larger audience.

I had long planned to renovate the Savitri Devi Archive, but my first priority was to redesign Counter-Currents. Now that the new Counter-Currents site has been launched, my next project is rebuilding the Savitri Devi Archive as a WordPress site, which will make it easier to update and maintain. Once the new site is unveiled, there will be a steady stream of new materials published on it. The new site will also allow for reader comments, have an active mailing list, and allow readers to subscribe to RSS feeds.

All of this takes money, however. So I am launching a special appeal to fund it. (If you don’t want to earmark your donations to the Savitri Devi Archive, that is fine too.)

A special incentive: If you donate $120 or more, you can choose a free paperback copy of one of our Savitri Devi books: And Time Rolls On, The Lightning and the Sun, or Gold in the Furnace. Be sure to include your mailing address and choice of title.

There are several ways you can help the Archive.

1. E-check:

E-checks are as convenient and secure as a credit card. All you need is your check book. If you want to earmark an e-check donation to the Archive, use the button below.

GREEN Electronic Checks

2. Credit Card:

If you wish to send money with a credit card, go to our Entropy page and select “send paid chat.” Entropy allows you to donate any amount from $3 and up. Be sure to leave a message earmarking your funds to the Archive. Also leave book order information, if applicable.

3. Bank Transfers

It is also possible to support the Archive with bank transfers. Please contact us at [email protected].

4. Cash, Checks and Money Orders

Just mail your donation payable to Counter-Currents with a note earmarking it for the Archive. Also include book order information, if applicable.

If Savitri Devi is not your cup of tea, you need not earmark your support to the Archive. There are plenty of other ways to help Counter-Currents itself.

The Paywall

Our latest fundraising outreach is our “paywall.”

Counter-Currents extends special privileges to those who donate $120 or more per year.

First, donor comments will appear immediately instead of waiting in a moderation queue. (People who abuse this privilege will lose it.)

Second, donors will have immediate access to all Counter-Currents posts. Non-donors will find that one post a day, five posts a week will be behind a “paywall” and will be available to the general public after 30 days.

Naturally, we do not grant permission to other websites to repost paywall content before 30 days have passed.

What will go behind the paywall? The short answer is: stuff you really want to see, including:

  • Most of my new articles and reviews
  • The reposts of our weekly livestreams
  • Selected works by our most popular authors like Jim Goad, Robert Hampton, Spencer Quinn, Collin Cleary, Beau Albrecht, Nicholas Jeelvy, Morris V. de Camp, James O’Meara, Kathryn S., Richard Houck, Margot Metroland, and more.

We generally won’t put things behind the paywall that deal with current events. Instead, we will focus on evergreen material that won’t seem irrelevant after 30 days.

How do you access these privileges?

To subscribe to the paywall, we need three things from you:

  • the name you want to appear on your comments (should not be your real name)
  • an email address (the most secure address does not contain your real name and is from an encrypted email provider like ProtonMail)
  • your payment

To register, just fill out this form and we will walk you through the payment process. There are a number of different payment options.

If you are in the United States, the easiest way to pay for your paywall subscription is by e-check. It is as secure, fast, and convenient as a credit card. All you need is your checkbook:

GreenPay™ by Green Payment

Subscription Level

Note: To register, you need to do more than just send an echeck payment. You need to fill out the form as well, or we won’t know what to do with the echeck payment.

Thanks for being “another brick in the paywall.” We appreciate your loyal readership and support.

How to Send Money to Counter-Currents

Counter-Currents, like all advocates of dissident ideas, depends upon the generosity of readers like you to survive and thrive. If you are a past donor, welcome back. If you are contemplating making your first donation, do it in thanks to the past donors that made it possible for you to find Counter-Currents, and pay it forward so others can experience the same delight in discovery.

There are several ways to help out.

1. E-Checks

If you are in the United States, E-checks are the fastest and most convenient way to send money to Counter-Currents. All you need is your checkbook.

2. Credit Cards

Currently the only way we can take credit card donations is through Entropy, a site that takes donations and comments for livestreams. Visit our Entropy page and select “send paid chat.” Entropy allows you to donate any amount from $3 and up. All comments will be read and discussed in the next episode of Counter-Currents Radio, which airs every weekend.

3. Bank Transfers

It is also possible to support Counter-Currents with bank transfers. Please contact us at [email protected].

4. Gift Cards

Gift cards are a useful way to make donations. Gift cards are available with all the major credit cards as well as from major retailers. You can either send gift cards as donations (either electronically or through the mail), or you can use them to make donations. Simply buy a prepaid credit card and click here to use it. If you can find a place that sells gift cards for cash, they are as anonymous as sending cash and much safer.

5. Cash, Checks and Money Orders

Sometimes the old ways are best. The least “de-platformable” way to send donations to Counter-Currents is to put a check or money order in the mail. Simply print and complete the Word or PDF donation form and mail it to:

Counter-Currents Publishing, Ltd.
P.O. Box 22638
San Francisco, CA 94122
USA
[email protected]

Thank you, Boomers, for keeping your checkbooks, envelopes, and stamps. There are youngsters reading this site who have never written a check or put a letter in the mail.

6. Bill Payment Services

If you wish to make monthly donations by mail, see if your bank has a bill payment service. Then all you need to do is set up a monthly check to be dispatched by mail to our PO box. This check can be made out to Counter-Currents or to Greg Johnson. After the initial bother of setting it up, you never have to think about it again.

7. Crypto-Currencies

In addition to old-fashioned paper donations, those new-fangled crypto-currencies are a good way to circumvent censorious credit card corporations.

  • Click here to go to our crypto donation page.
  • Click here for a basic primer on how to get started using crypto. Do not, however, use COINBASE. COINBASE will not allow you to send money to Counter-Currents. (Yes, it is that bad.)

8. The Counter-Currents Foundation

Note: Donations to Counter-Currents Publishing are not tax deductible. We do, however, have a 501c3 tax-exempt educational corporation called The Counter-Currents Foundation. If you want to make a tax-deductible gift, please email me at [email protected]. You can send donations by mail to:

The Counter-Currents Foundation
P.O. Box 22638
San Francisco, CA 94122
USA

8. Remember Us in Your Will

Finally, we would like to broach a very delicate topic: your will. If you are planning your estate, please think about how you can continue helping the cause even after you are gone. The essay “Majority Estate Planning” contains many helpful suggestions.

Remember: those who fight for a better world live in it today.

Thank you again for your loyal readership and generous support.

I am thrilled to hear of your new project. Gabriella’s website, Vaidilute, was my red pill, and I regretted its demise. Savitri Devi’s thought seemed so bonkers that I decided there had to be something worth exploring. To this project I will gladly contribute.

Just thinking out loud but is it possible that the COVID vaccine could have an accidental pro white effect?

If the vaccines are going to cause infertility and health problems (possibly death), it could help improve white birth rates relative to the other groups.

The majority of people who take the vaccine are those who trust the government and media (some higher IQ leftists will also take it for virtue signalling purposes).

People who don’t trust the government, media, corporations, UN etc won’t take the vaccine – the majority of this group is white.

This could mean that our group has better relative fertility going forward (since the other groups have taken the vaccine and had their fertility impaired or have had other health complications).

Its sad to think in this way, but I can’t help but notice that these events could work in our favor. Would love to hear your thoughts.

There’s no basis for claiming the vaccine causes infertility, and serious side effects are too few to be consequential, but there’s plenty of reason to think that Covid causes death and serious organ damage. Thus taking the vaccine is smarter in terms of a pure Darwinian calculus. It is sad that white people are disproportionately likely to believe flubro denialism and anti-vaccine disinformation.

I respect that you did not block my comment despite having the opposing view.

There clearly is evidence that one of the goals of this vaccine is depopulation. Just look into Bill Gates. The fact big-tech and the media try to ridicule, attack and censor anybody who shares ‘anti-vaccine’ info SHOULD have convinced you to take a deeper look into this topic.

        Can’t you see the similarities between pro-White deplatforming/censorship and so called ‘anti-vaccine’ deplatforming/censorship ?

There are plenty of other prominent people in the ‘movement’ who agree that the best option is to not take this injection funded and promoted by people and corporations who CLEARLY don’t have our best interests at heart.

Whereas the only other person in the movement I can think of who is pro this vaccine is Richard Spencer – who most of us would agree is an idiot.

I’m not implying you are ‘controlled opposition’ or something like that but I really hope someone close to you can explain the vaccine scam to you.

White people (and other people) will not have a future if we continue to take the enemies poisons. We need to take this seriously.

I agree.  I think the greatest fear with the vaccine is that it simply won’t work, or that the virus will mutate away from it quickly.  What is your opinion, o highest and most worthy editor, of Unz’s opinions about the origin and purpose of COVID?

        1. Greg Johnson says:
          May 16, 2021 at 9:29 am

There is less chance for mutant strains to grow and propagate if a sufficient percentage of the population is vaccinated.

I don’t have enough data to theorize about the origin of Covid yet.

      3. Michael says:
        May 17, 2021 at 11:03 am

The gene therapy experiment was rushed to market without undergoing normal testing. Covid causes death in less than .003% of those who get it and is dangerous only to those over 70 or those with serious co-morbidities. It’s okay for those who want to take part in the experiment to do so and it probably won’t be that bad, but if those scientists who believe it is dangerous are right, guess who wins the Darwin contest? Guess we’ll know in a year or so.

        1. Greg Johnson says:
          May 17, 2021 at 1:58 pm

It isn’t “gene therapy.” It was an “experiment” until it went through clinical trials and was proven effective.

Greg would you be open to debate someone else in the ‘pro-white’ community who is against taking covid-19 vaccines?

Seeing as its a controversial topic, it would at least create some entertainment and maybe both sides could learn something.

            Lets make this happen.

I don’t know of anyone who suffered an adverse effect or severe adverse effect rather from the vaccine, but I do know if several people have died or gotten very ill with Covid. I haven’t yet met anyone who got the vaccine and got Covid subsequently.

          1. Michael says:
            May 18, 2021 at 5:03 am

I know several people who were too sick to go to work after receiving the shot, and others who were fine. Everyone I know who had covid is fine, though I’ve heard stories of people with cancer, diabetes or other serious illnesses who died with covid. I was told by a co-worker that his brother who died in a car accident was listed as a covid death. That being said, the vaers website lists about 4,000 people who died after taking the shot, and some very educated scientists have warned there may be serious long term side effects from the new, mrna tech being used. It’ll probably be fine, but who knows? The shots didn’t go through the normal testing procedure which is why it’s still an experiment. We’ll know whether it was harmless in a year or three.

Uh huh, we had some who were “too sick to come to work” after the vaccine too.  I’m skeptical.  I do know some people whose parents died of COVID

I think greg’s(and his cohorts’) greatest achievement is the creation of a liberal white nationalism—I liked the term west coast white nationalism—a new political position that shakes off the reactionary and backwards elements of paleo conservatism.  Perhaps it’s best (most durable)embodiment is countercurrents, but it was in the air before that.

  4. Casual Reader says:

Replying to Gregs comment above agreeing to the idea of a debate on whether or not whites should take the Covid19 Vaccine:

I don’t keep track of everyone’s opinions but here is a brief list of potential debate options:

People/groups expressing caution against the covid19 vaccine: Nick Fuentes and others closely associated with him, Michelle Malkin, Mike Adams (naturalnewsdotcom), right-wing body building twitter (many possible options here like the Golden One), Red Ice tv (Lana and Henrik), the vast majority of homesteaders and preppers that are pro white, Scott Greer,

There are others that I can’t think of right now. I don’t have a way to share the debate idea with those people but I think you should put out a debate challenge to our community and see who is interested. Or if anyone else can help make this happen please chime in or share this comment section with those interested.

It would generate activity within ‘white positive community’ and probably be a reason for others to look in.
