Nothing can divide white people more than the presence of non-whites: blacks and Jews, especially. It seems that whites just can’t agree on what to do with them — other than to fight over them. One side will identify with the non-whites’ supposed outsider status and remain in thrall of their charms and talents. The other side will, well, see them for what they are.
I was reminded of this state of affairs regarding Jews when reading another brief essay by Kim du Toit. (more…)

Originally, I had planned for this essay to be a response to Jack Donovan’s still relatively recent essay, “Why I Am Not a White Nationalist.” However, I’ve decided that this essay would work better if thought of as an extended discussion of a couple of the topics raised by Donovan’s essay, rather than as another open letter response aimed at Donovan himself. Editor’s Note:
These two reviews of Zootopia were written independent of each other. The authors did not read each other’s work until completing their own.
Disney’s Zootopia is cute, clever, and entertaining. But in terms of its message, it is pure evil. (more…)

Leo Strauss, in his 1952 book, Persecution and the Art of Writing, argues that great writers tend to write with multiple levels of meaning. Often writers have an exoteric message to avoid displeasing the king, censors, or fashion of the times. At the same time, they maintain an esoteric message concealed within irony, paradoxes, and even deliberate self-contradiction. (more…)

Omar Mateen: just one more Muslim mass murderer
3,727 words
This weekend’s mass shooting at the Pulse, a gay bar in Orlando, Florida, provoked all the usual NAXALT casuistry and dissimulation from the agents of tolerance that we’ve come to expect. Omar Mateen, the “American” Afghan shooter, reportedly called 911 and pledged allegiance to ISIS, and mentioned the Tsarnaev brothers from the Boston bombing attacks, before committing the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. Mateen had also been under FBI investigation, but his father claimed that “homophobia” alone was responsible (more…)

(more…)

(more…)

(more…)

(more…)

An incident described as “Islamophobic” and “hate motivated” has cropped up in the national news this week. The Washington Post reports that, on Monday night, a severed pig’s head was thrown at a mosque doorstep in Philadelphia. Police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. The specific crime is somewhat unclear, but Rue Landau, executive director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations says the act may be in violation of the city’s ordinance on ethnic intimidation and institutional vandalism, considering that Muslims are notoriously adverse to pork.
