Joseph Campbell, the famed teacher of comparative mythology, was born on this day in 1904. For many people, including yours truly, he has served as a “gateway drug” into not only a new way of looking at myths, but into a non-materialistic way of viewing the world. And although as a public figure, Campbell mostly remained apolitical, evidence from his private life indicates that he was at least nominally a “man of the Right.” (more…)

All of us at Heritage & Destiny were saddened to hear of the recent death of Dr. Roger Pearson, who was a long-standing subscriber to H&D magazine — in fact he was our eldest subscriber, aged 95, when he died in Washington, DC in January.
Dr. Pearson was a true English gentleman in every sense. He was born in London in 1927, but spent much of his childhood in Yorkshire. In October 1944, towards the end of the Second World War, he joined the British Army, despite his entitlement to exemption from military service to attend university after completing his Higher School Certificate examinations. Dr. Roger Pearson, a lifelong hardworking white advocate who gave us nearly a century of service, passed away on February 23 at the age of 95. Dr. Pearson lived an extraordinary life that included volunteering in the British Indian Army, serving as Chairman of the World Anti-Communist League and as President of University Professors for Academic Order, and publishing the groundbreaking racialist journal Mankind Quarterly. The Free Expression Foundation (donate here) is a vital non-profit legal organization, founded by Glen Allen, Esq., for those who seek to protect and express their rights to freedom of speech and assembly. Dr. Pearson has valiantly resisted the many concerted efforts to censor and suppress his opinions, so the Free Expression Foundation was pleased to join Counter-Currents in honoring him.
