Anthony Mario Ludovici was born on January 8, 1882.
Ludovici was one of the first and most accomplished translators of Nietzsche into English and a leading exponent of Nietzsche’s thought. Ludovici was also an original philosopher in his own right. In nearly forty books, including eight novels, and hundreds of shorter works, Ludovici set forth his views on metaphysics, religion, ethics, politics, economics, the sexes, health, eugenics, art, modern culture, and current events with a clarity, wit, and fearless honesty that made him famous. Last year, Counter-Currents issued Ludovici’s previously unpublished autobiography, The Confessions of an Anti-Feminist. An excerpt from it, “On the Jewish Question,” has been published on this site, and F. Roger Devlin has reviewed it in “A Man Out of Season.”
A passionate, principled defender of aristocracy and conservatism and a fierce, uncompromising critic of egalitarianism in all its manifestations, Ludovici was consigned to obscurity after the Second World War. But in recent years, through the power of his thought and the promotional efforts of John V. Day, Ludovici’s writings have found a whole new audience. See Day’s essays:

Another Fascist “intellectual” psycho, who flatly promoted INCEST and inbreeding, in order to create a “new Aristocracy”!!… Even Hitler and Himmler themselves did not dare to go that far! I guess that’s something that millions of Trumpanzee Hillbillies would just relish: pathological, dysgenic inbreeding is rampant among them.

I do have to agree somewhat with our mentally handicapped friend here.. i think ludovici does overstate the case for the aristocracy a bit. That said, his books are highly readable and quite interesting.

I bought it in 2019 from a fellow who found it in an estate sale in New England. I can’t make out the painter’s name.
