For years I’ve been predicting it. With absolute confidence, I’ve been claiming that its arrival is a certainty. So why do I feel so surprised, and a trifle disoriented that it is now happening? What is “it”? It’s The Happening. I didn’t invent this expression. I heard a couple of people use it at the recent New York Forum. Perhaps “The Convergence” would be more appropriate. Perhaps I could even give in to my Heideggerian vice and call it The Event (Das Ereignis). But I like The Happening.
I think you already know what I mean, but let’s make it explicit. For years I have been maintaining, along with others, that the truth cannot be suppressed forever, that the whole edifice of lies would eventually crack and the Establishment crumble, that our people would rise up, etc. I predicted that at a certain point we would see things begin to “tip” as more and more individuals spoke forbidden truths. This is now happening. The Washington Post recently published a breathless article (by a non-White reporter) about how the Brexit vote has “normalized racism,” by making the British more open — horrors! — about expressing their desire to “get their country back.”
Then there was the remarkable incident on CNN when a panelist dared to bring up cold, hard facts about Black crime. Predictably, pandemonium ensued. Yet after a brief Google search I cannot find any mention of the speaker, Harry Houck, having been fired or having apologized. Let us pause to savor this fact, for it is remarkable.
Still more remarkable, however, was the incident that occurred less than a week ago on MSNBC when Iowa Congressman Steve King actually defended white people: “This ‘old, white people’ business does get a little tired,” King said. “I’d ask you to go back through history and figure out, where are these contributions that have been made by these other categories of people that you’re talking about — where did any other subgroup of people contribute more to civilization?”
Admittedly, King watered things down by saying that he was speaking of “Western civilization.” But everyone knows exactly what he meant. Again, there was a hue and cry — though strangely more muted than it might have been only a year ago. And King has not backed down, going so far as to say in a subsequent interview “The idea of multiculturalism, that every culture is equal — that’s not objectively true.”
So why exactly is The Happening happening? Note that I have so far not mentioned Donald Trump. Thursday night I watched his speech at the Republican convention. I have no idea how long it lasted, though pundits later described it as longish. For me, time stopped. I sat there transfixed, hanging on his every word, utterly delighted that Trump had not backed down one bit. In fact, he had doubled down. The speech was brilliantly crafted and hard hitting, and Trump is a masterful orator. Even his adlibs were deft and amusing, and though I was aware that he was departing from a prepared text, Trump managed to deliver the speech with such skill it did not seem as if he was reading. My thoughts occasionally turned to Hillary, who I know must have been watching — and who ought to be nervous as all hell, for she’s a terrible speaker. But mostly I felt a rising sense of euphoria — which has lasted into the next day — and also the same sense of disorientation I mentioned earlier. Can this really be happening?
It’s clear that Trump is emboldening people to speak their minds, as in the cases I cited earlier. But Trump is not the explanation. The Happening is not just happening in the U.S., after all. There is Brexit. And Brexit will not do as an explanation of the tide turning for Britain. Whence comes Brexit? Whence comes Trump? We can, of course, point to a number of factors that seem to have converged. There is, first and foremost, the accelerating madness of political correctness, which now demands that white people commit physical and cultural suicide in the name of “diversity.”
For years it was possible for white Americans to insulate themselves from Mexicans and to explain away crimes committed by illegals as the work of a few inevitable “bad apples.” This isn’t possible with radical Muslims — who increasingly look like the only Muslims there are. Surely, I thought, liberals will have to recognize the grave danger posed by admitting these people. Surely feminists will rise up to denounce the epidemic of rapes in Germany, Sweden (now the rape capital of Europe, thanks to Islam), and elsewhere. Surely feminists will denounce the barbaric treatment of women throughout the Muslim world. Surely liberals will be a trifle . . . uh . . . disturbed by the recent poll showing that 52% of Muslims in Britain would like to criminalize homosexuality (which had been decriminalized in Britain in 1967).
But no. And this has exposed two facts with such complete clarity that even honest but dimwitted people can see them: (1) The priority for white liberals is the destruction of whites and white liberal society; (2) white liberals are stark raving mad. This last point is not a joke and must be taken very seriously. I have several friends, none of them particularly “right wing,” who have told me they regard Angela Merkel as a literal madwoman. (Why are whites peculiarly susceptible to the suicidal fanaticism of the Left? A good answer — or at least a good place to start — is to be found here.)
Each week seems now to bring news of another attack in Europe — the latest a jihadist shooting spree at a Munich shopping mall. It’s now impossible to watch reports of these events and think “well, that’s over there.” Americans seemed to think for a while that 9/11 would be an isolated case. Then came San Bernardino and Orlando. (And much in between — for a relatively complete list of Muslim terror attacks in the U.S. see here.) It’s impossible not to connect the dots between these events and our immigration policies, and not see ourselves headed toward disaster. Impossible, that is, for honest folk. And those same folk are now recognizing the stark contrast between their fears and the insane denial of the Leftists.
These acts of Muslim terrorism against our people are horrific and deplorable — but they are also manna from heaven for our cause. So is Black Lives Matter. As the aforementioned remarks of Mr. Houck indicate, we have reached a tipping point in our national “conversation about race.” The more our nappy-headed malcontents continue to block roads and bridges, voicing their dissatisfaction at enjoying a higher standard of living than they would anywhere else in the world, and the more cops they shoot, the less polite white Americans are going to become.
Openly discussing crime statistics is just the beginning. Americans are tired of pretending that black problems are due to something other than black inferiority. They have reached, in fact, the breaking point. Having already consented to give preferential treatment to other people’s children (something absolutely unprecedented in the history of the universe) they are now rather perturbed that they continue to be blamed for everyone else’s problems.
And the transgender madness is just the cherry on top.
I could go on, of course, listing all the ways in which the Left has pushed things too far, all the elements that have come together to create the “perfect storm” that is The Happening. And I’m sure we could argue over this endlessly. Ultimately, there is no way to explain exactly why The Happening is happening. Incidentally, I believe that the use of the term “happening” as a noun originated in the 1960s, where it was associated with hippie counterculture. A happening was an event in which people spontaneously got together, and the right mixture of personalities, music, location, and drugs (one assumes) produced a kind of special, unrepeatable moment. (I gave a pretty good description of my own involvement with such hippie happenings here.)
I remember countless occasions in years past when my right wing friends and I would get together after some event and say to each other “This is it. This time people are going to wake up! This is the turning point! It’s happening!” But it didn’t. Doubtless these events planted seeds, but there was not the shift that seems to be occurring now — not the unmistakable feeling that there’s something in the air; that feeling that makes us rejoice and makes the Left truly frightened (as witness the unguarded, over-the-top hysteria of their attacks on Trump). Why now? There is no definitive answer to this.
So let us set the question aside and savor the fact that, whatever the reasons, it is undeniably happening.
To go back to the question I posed much earlier, why am I so surprised that things are going pretty much exactly as I predicted? For one thing I’m surprised that it’s happening now, or so soon. I had almost given up any hope of seeing progress within my lifetime. But the deeper reason for my surprise is that I doubted myself. I harbored a secret fear that I might be wrong, and that there might be no hope for us at all — ever. I know this admission will strike a chord with many of my readers. And I’m sure there will be those — the naysayers among us — who will post comments saying that I’d better not count my chickens, or worse yet some conspiratorial nonsense about Trump, or Brexit, or whatever. (Please don’t bother: I won’t respond to you.)
One of the major things I’ve been attempting to do in these essays for the past five years is to buck up my readers: to argue that we must have hope, for a defeatist attitude will accomplish nothing. (Good examples of this are here and here.) If you had the impression that I was trying to convince myself as much as I was trying to convince you, that’s right. But now there is abundant evidence that all that positive thinking has actually paid off.
Don’t misunderstand me: we’re a long, long way from victory. And the “perfect storm” really isn’t a storm yet: but there are ominous black clouds, and definite rumblings. Still, now we have some evidence that history is going our way. Let’s keep doing what we are doing, because it’s paying off. And if you can do nothing else, then donate to those who are working full time for our cause.
Let’s also pause to rejoice. There is a God after all — for God is Truth, the philosophers tell us, and the truth is winning. Shame on us for having ever doubted it. Well, shame on me.

What an eloquent conclusion!
Regarding The Happening, it’s rather fortuitous that it’s happening now rather than later. Had our enemies waited another decade or two, our demographic displacement would have progressed to the point where any rebirth of white racial consciousness would have been too late.
But alas, they overplayed their hand.
“But alas, they overplayed their hand.”
I think you may be right, our enemies seem to be in a hurry of late. I have the impression that our enemies are on a time schedule in their social engineering agenda, i.e., the many psy-op mass shootings. Our enemies seem almost desperate in their attempts to enact ever increasing gun legislation. I think the reason that the jews put O’Bama in office was to energize the gun legislation program; the idea was if somebody criticized O’Bama he would declare them racist, and people would automatically shut up due to their life long conditioning. Fortunately O’Bama does not have the charisma or oratorical skills to pull this off. White people do not display the racial guilt yet, necessary for such an operation. The jews over-estimated O’Bama’s abilities.
“We’re a long long way from victory”… my greatest fear now is that if Trump wins, people will go back to sleep. Writers now should be thinking “What next?” He is not going to “make America great again” in the way I think so many believe and hope; that is, jobs come back to America, our economy stirs from it’s decade-and-a-half slumber and Americans can eat like hogs, watch television and go to casinos like we learned to do under Reagan, Clinton and Bush. That ship has sailed and is not coming back.
We are going to be a new people under any scenario I can imagine. We are going to be a defeated, demoralized minority in our own homes, we will be a mixed race of Blaxican and whatever else, we be Muslim or we will be ourselves, awakened from 500 years of error and living a radical life of meaning and purpose. Please remember that “words really do have a specific meaning”. That radical life will be just that; we will radically be ourselves or we will die as a people.
Wish I could express myself as well as you do. You are so right in your list of possible scenarios.
No more endless beer & barbecues, porn, football and the latest gadgets & novelty, White Man. A cleansing is coming and y’all better get used to it.
Well said. Things are going pretty much as I predicted 20-25 years ago. It’s only in the last few years that things have been accelerating. Bring it on!
Excellent piece. I, too, am vexed by my own past doubt. I remember back to 2012, sitting in my temp cubicle, secretly listening to Voice of Reason and Vanguard podcasts, how claustrophobic and black it all felt. Now, it is as though the sky has broken apart, and beyond it I can see a future more hopeful and dangerous than anything I’d imagined possible.
This is a pivotal moment, but it isn’t a victory by any means. The year 2016 is a beachhead. Trump, the refugee crisis, the DNC leaks, daily Islamic terror attacks, Black Lives Matter, and all the rest of it, has given us a field to fight on. Nothing more. The Happening has at last made large scale struggle a possibility. But this is only the beginning.
That’s the spirit! Great comment. Thanks.
To my fellow comrades I offer a bit of historical perspective as to what is ‘possible’:
In the early 1960’s the population of Algeria was about 10 million. This included some 1 million French-descended people who had begun to arrive in 1830. After the revolution of the early 1960’s, all 1 million of these French settlers were expelled. Some 80% of those settlers had been born in Algeria.
Those are the facts. Compare the relatively recent historical record in Algeria with the current situations in various European countries and you might arrive at a more hopeful prospective as to what is in fact possible.
All that is needed, ultimately, is the will. The will to assert ourselves and our legitimate interests. The Will to Power.
It’s not a happening but a hardening. It’s not just the truth but simple human nature on our side.
We can afford a small celebratory sherry, but it is much too early to uncork the champagne. We have established a beach head on our home turf, we must secure its perimeter before moving inland and seriously engaging the enemy at its defended positions.
Well said, sir.
It´s inspiring; thanks, Jef. Two points: 1)I´m scarred by the stupidity I had (have) to experience in my social circle. There is literally not one who would not believe, and actively promote, the full liberal white suicide guilt etc. program. It is very depressing to experience this kind of stupidity, mendacity, perfidy of lying. 2)The jews will invoke the entire scale of the Ten Plagues upon us. Trump will inherit a country that will go down in flames, sorry, he can´t stop that. He is condemned to preside over a country that is going to be wrecked; he will not preside over a glamorous great America. Because the financial system is at its end, and the finance-jews will pull the trigger on it at any moment they see fit. Costs of imports will rise by some 50-100% as the USD is wrecked. Same for the whole west, of-course. Maybe that´s precisely why he´s allowed to win: they need an outsider to be the holder of the bag, not one of theirs. Trump will be blamed for the destruction, the violence, the demise. He will have to fight on innumerable fronts, will have to extinguish one fire after another and for each extinguished, various new ones pop up. So that´s the “glamorous” great future that Trump will have to take responsability for. He´s a great man, a great fighter. I hope he´ll be able to take that!
It is worth it (it is without alternative anyways): for the liberation of our race. But people probably have no idea what they´re in for; what the price will actually be for our liberation. It will be hell. Worth it but going through hell. Let´s not forget that. It will be: a veritable “Mein Kampf” 😉 .
You are much too sure (and much too negative) about how things are going to unfold. We just don’t know. Enjoy the Trump revolution and try to think positively — like Trump!
Mr. Costello:
I agree with you. Let’s see how things are turning out. The depressed mood amongst the people is palpable and it can be turned into a mood for improvement. We need hope, an inspiration that we can overcome the life-taking and soul-devouring assault upon ourselves which reduces life to consumption without asking any questions and accepting as essence the meaningless of our existence.
The sacrifices in such a change might be much less than Peter thinks, or they might be immense. I rather think that with a general mood for renewal gripping most everyone, a spirit of community might arise and solidarity ease hardships on the way through the changes.
We are in a bad situation that was brought about by a centuries-old policy of destruction of community for the benefit of individuality. The changes in peoples’ will you noticed are a manifestation of Nature’s slow but powerful response to the forces that oppose it. There is no guarantee as to the result, as there is still a multitude of competing forces and alternatives, but the current order and powers will fall. So much is certain.
I share your optimism.
‘Why are whites susceptible to the suicidal madness of the Left?’
An excellent question in an excellent article.
The answer, I think, lies in the propensity of the mainstream (cucked) right to embrace neoliberal economic dogma, which consigns poor and working class white folk to lives of hopelessness. For Trump, should he win office, this will be absolutely key. If he can take on and change the system so that poorer white people can live well on a decent wage, the Left will have lost their final ‘ace up their sleeve’ .
Should he fail, the Left will inevitably characterise him as the oligarch in sheeps clothing that they always said he’d be.
.
Oddly enough, there is a 1967 movie called The Happening. It’s about a gang of what Hollywood imagines to be hippies who kidnap an “older white male,” the latter played by Anthony Quinn. The hippies plan to lay a head trip on him, but instead the old guy turns out to be a retired mob boss and he puts them in their places. In the end he has them dancing on his strings. There’s a parable in there, somewhere, about Trump and the return of the White Male.
I’m with everyone else on this page who says let’s not celebrate just yet. I watched Jon Leibowitz recently speak directly to white Anerica and say, “you don’t own this country… there is no real American”. That’s how far gone we are now, when a Jew can say this openly. The Trumpening is the red pilling of what was once just a handful of us, to now masses of middle Americans. It has only just begun. Let’s not pack our powder just yet. Let’s see how the enemy responds to the Trumpening.
Great article but one kvetch:
“Having already consented to give preferential treatment to other people’s children (something absolutely unprecedented in the history of the universe) they are now rather perturbed that they continue to be blamed for everyone else’s problems.”
The parenthetical, to me, appears false. The most clear counterexample is the ChiCom’s (dominated by Han Chinese) one child policy which did not allow Han Chinese to have more than one child in normal circumstances, but did not apply to ethnic minorities in China. The abolition of this policy last year is worth reflecting on.
“Again, there was a hue and cry — though strangely more muted than it might have been only a year ago.”
When anyone anywhere says anything commendable about white people, it’s natural that all decent people saute awhile in scalding shock and horror. Hitler! But… uh… when there is no valid counter-argument to the point, it’s best to flay the messenger with every liberal’s favorite weapons – hyperbole, ridicule and ad hominem attack – then let the matter drop down the memory hole. After all, it’s not true if we no longer talk about it. Who today remembers the Bolshevik massacres and weaponized starvation of million of ethnic Russians in the first 25 years of the Soviet Union?
This is the very first glimmer of hope that we’ve had. Remember, PC elevated to religious significance has been our reigning social bible for a half century. And it evolved in steps. I think the key to its downfall is recognition by many whites – though certainly not all – that keepers of the civic flame (media, academia, and government) now must lie to prop up the tattered old code. The fat thug in Ferguson still is civil-rights martyr for our information industry, even though Eric Holder’s (!) justice department couldn’t fault two juries findings that the shooting was justified. Media closes its eyes, clicks it heels together, and keeps repeating “I want it different.” And we just can’t go there with them, anymore.
For a long time, the guilt worked – and made us miserable. Now, with all the contradictions, fictions, and exaggeration of these recent events spilling out in the open, we come to doubt ALL the guilt trips. And that makes us furious that we were conned into despair for all these years.
Blood will come. Let it. It won’t stop here.
