An innocent-sounding British TV documentary about tropical birds has really made identitarian feathers fly.

Chris Packham is a leading English celebrity (un)naturalist and climate-change fanatic, well-known for his Left-wing views on topics like Brexit and immigration, obsessions he could not help but insert into his new Channel 4 natural history documentary Invasion of the Parakeets last month. Being a sub-species of parrot, parakeets are by nature most commonly native to sub-Saharan Africa and the Indian subcontinent, not Great Britain, but colonies have been living in London (and in other cities across Europe) for decades now, having been artificially introduced there by humans via some disputed means or other, making a nuisance of themselves via their constant loud squawking. Steam is the leading digital storefront platform used for buying and downloading PC games. I’m more of a Nintendo man myself, so I’ve never used it personally, though its extremely lax moderation policies may make it worth a look. Back in May, Steam cleared for release (possibly automatically)  a new management-sim game along the lines of previous genre hits like Theme Park and Sim City, called Plantation Simulator. (more…)

According to historians, the Rape of Nanking saw perhaps 20,000 victims. According to Rupert Lowe, the Rape of Britain saw perhaps 250,000. So, that makes the latter over ten times worse. Doesn’t it?

In actual fact, nobody knows precisely how many underage white (and also a minority of non-white) girls were gang-raped by mobs of Pakistani males and others of Muslim immigrant stock across Great Britain over the past few decades, beginning, it would seem, as far back as the 1950s: because it was all covered up. It turns out AI-generated “literary” slop existed long before there was any real electronic AI around to even generate it—the pre-Chat GPT-era artificial intelligence in question belonging to black and brown people.

In 2005, the prestigious British literary magazine Granta ran an essay by a black Kenyan author with the only seemingly AI-generated name Binyavanga Wainaina. Called How To Write About Africa, it did not consist simply of the single word “DON’T!” but was a long and sarcastic list of literary clichés culled straight from prize-winning pieces about the continent which, in Wainaina’s view, did not deserve to have won any prizes at all. Browsing online lately, I came across an infant joke-collection I had once owned as a child. Called The Pink and Wobbly Joke-Book, and sporting a cartoon image of a large strawberry blancmange with eyes and grinning mouth on the cover, every last joke within related invariably to the twin concepts of pinkness and/or wobbliness.
