One of the people whom I interviewed for my biography of Jonathan Bowden was Nick Griffin, the former leader of the British National Party. Griffin appointed Bowden, its most popular orator, as the party’s Cultural Officer. Griffin remarked something to the effect of how a lot of people kind of worship Bowden, and if you write his biography — if you present the Bowden of History, not the Bowden of Faith — then you will upset these kinds of people. Opposition to what has been labelled “The Great Awokening”—the virulent cresting of decades of anti-white male social engineering—came to prominence around ten years ago. That year of 2016 is still sometimes referred to with mythical awe even today. It was a time in which anything seemed possible, when wider reality seemed bizarrely responsive to our perspectives and efforts. Now, we have fully entered 2026 and the social reality seems responsive to our perspective once again: this time labelled as the “vibe shift.” With the new year, I think it is time to reflect on where we have come from and, more importantly, where we are going. Trump’s victory and policy positions continue to divide dissidents. Opinions on the matter have ranged from Trump being the second coming of Christ, to him merely perpetuating the American system or attempting to slow its decline, to even leading the white world into a blissful coma while personally holding a pillow over its face.
