What George Lakey Gets Wrong about White Nationalists

The statue of Thorfinn Karlsefni in Philadelphia.

    1,287 words

Last week, morning joggers running  along Kelly Drive in Philadelphia came across the once-prominent statue of the Viking explorer, Thorfinn Karlsefni – torn down and lying upon the ground. The general consensus is that the statue’s toppling was conducted in the same spirit that led to a spate of vandalism against Confederate monuments earlier this year, given that it has also previously been defaced by anti-white graffiti. This statue is also where Keystone United (formerly the Keystone State Skinheads) meet as part of their annual Leif Erickson Day celebration. (more…)

    Kavanaugh the Fighter

    2,167 words

By now, most have at least heard the highlights of the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, where they listened to testimonies and questioned Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, over allegations that he had attempted to rape her in 1982. The hearing lasted roughly nine hours and included some very dramatic moments. I watched most of it, but stopped around halfway through Kavanaugh’s time on the stand because the questions had become so repetitive, and it was clear no new information was going to come to light. A Quiet Place:
    A Review

    1,001 words

John Krasinksi, probably best known as Jim in the long-running television series The Office, is the director and star of a unique 2018 horror film called A Quiet Place. Krasinki breaks from his typical casting as a smirking “soy boy” to play a gruff and serious survivalist in this post-apocalyptic drama. The film shows us what the world would be like if Earth became infested with monsters who attack any sound louder than a certain unspecified decibel level. These monsters are numerous and they move with lightning speed. The film begins after most of the human population has already been destroyed. (more…)

Taylor Swift’s latest album, reputation, came out on November 10th. She has become an iconic figure for the Alt Right in recent years, so a review seems appropriate. We must tread lightly because Ms. Swift has recently been flashing her litigious claws (clause?). (more…)

An Open Letter to White Students at Drexel University

    2,734 words

Do you believe that you have the right to exist? Drexel University does not. This is one of the lessons from the recent furor that erupted after one of the school’s professors tweeted, “All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.” By now you’ve probably heard something about it, but for those who have not, let me reiterate the details.

Assistant Professor George Ciccariello-Maher sent out that tweet on Christmas Eve. Then, on Christmas Day, he tweeted, “To clarify: when the whites were massacred during the Haitian revolution, that was a good thing indeed.” (more…)

The Vast Majority of Non-Muslims are Peaceful

    1,249 words

porkyAn incident described as “Islamophobic” and “hate motivated” has cropped up in the national news this week. The Washington Post reports that, on Monday night, a severed pig’s head was thrown at a mosque doorstep in Philadelphia. Police are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime. The specific crime is somewhat unclear, but Rue Landau, executive director of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations says the act may be in violation of the city’s ordinance on ethnic intimidation and institutional vandalism, considering that Muslims are notoriously adverse to pork. Experimenter

In 1961, the Jewish psychologist Stanley Milgram began conducting his now renowned experiment on obedience to authority. The experiment included two test subjects, the Teacher and the Learner. The Teacher was instructed to give the Learner information and then test the Learner’s recall of the information by asking questions. Every time the Learner answered a question incorrectly, the Teacher was required to give an electric shock to the Learner, increasing the voltage after every incorrect answer.  (more…)

The National Policy Institute’s 2015 Conference

    NationalPressBuilding2,984 words

Recently on NPR, I heard an interview with Angus Deaton, the 2015 winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics. Deaton discussed how white people in the United States are experiencing an “epidemic of despair” as evidenced by rates of alcoholism, substance abuse, and suicide higher among middle-aged whites than any other population group. Deaton surmised, and the interviewer seemed to concur, that these trends are caused by increasing economic inequality between the rich and the poor, (more…)

    American Renaissance Conference 2015:

    John William Waterhouse, Destiny, 1900

Last Friday my colleague and I flew down to Nashville, rented a car, and drove out to Montgomery Bell State Park to attend the 2015 American Renaissance (AmRen) conference. My colleague, who went to the conference all four times it was held at this scenic venue, commented that making this journey is starting to feel like a ritual for him. Although, I only attended the last three conferences, I tend to agree, and perhaps having steadfast and reliable rituals is a good thing, but a conference concerning our movement should never become too familiar or repetitious. We need growth and development to show that we are alive and thriving.  (more…)

    Beyond Conservatism:
    The NPI Mini-Conference

    1,718 words

NationalPressBuildingYesterday my colleague and I drove to Washington DC to attend a set of lectures called Beyond Conservatism, organized by the National Policy Institute (NPI) and held at the National Press Club. NPI is described as a think tank, and its primary activities include managing the Radix Journal web site, the publication of some books, and the organization of a conference about once per year. Does this constitute a think tank? I’m not sure. I would describe NPI as pro-white or identitarian, but of course you will find mainstream media outlets and leftist organizations describing it in nastier ways.
