Editor’s Update
The 2025 Fundraiser, Matt Parrott on Counter-Currents Radio, & Why You Should Be on X

Greg Johnson

You can buy Greg Johnson’s new book Is America Doomed? in hardcover, paperback, and ebook here.

637 words

1. Our 2025 Fundraiser

A successful business caters to the values that people already have. The more in sync with the masses, the greater the success. So how do you make money by challenging and changing people’s minds, bearing in mind that the more radical the challenge, the more out of step with the masses you will be? The answer is: you can’t. Instead, you find donors who want to support you and who will stand by you through thick and thin. Counter-Currents has made it to our 15th birthday not because of the millions of unique visitors per year who read this site for free, but because of a few thousand donors who keep us online and in the fight. Thank you.

This year, as with last year and the year before, our fundraising goal is $300,000. The year is almost half over, and we are less than 1/10th of the way to our goal. Right now, our total stands at $25,021.54! Frankly, this worries me. Some people think that with Trump in the White House, we don’t need little metapolitical journals like Counter-Currents anymore. They think they’ve hit the big time.

Let’s hope that this illusion has worn off with Trump’s recent disastrous decisions:

  • Not to deport illegal immigrants who work on farms and hotels — now reversed under pressure.
  • Creeping closer to war with Iran at the behest of Israel and its agents in America. (Those agents including practically every elected official in Washington.)
  • Announcing the sale of federal lands for private development. We don’t need to open up more land for development. We need to deport tens of millions of illegals and remigrate tens of millions of non-whites.

Obviously, we haven’t won yet. These disasters happened because Trump is not “our guy,” and although he sometimes listens to our guys, the American people don’t have a direct line to him like Netanyahu or the lobbyists from agribusiness and the hotel industry. But online populist pushback does work. However, it doesn’t work if it is based on false premises and priorities. We need our own platforms to work out these issues. Platforms like Counter-Currents. Please keep us in the fight. Information on how to help appears below.

2. This Saturday on Counter-Currents Radio:

My daughter is getting married very soon and I’ve maxed out my credit card to help her and her man along their path – no funds at the moment.

CC is at the top of my support list and you’ll have more donations from me as soon as I’m able.

Incidentally, they met at Amren – any White positive young women who are on the prowl will find good men there. Some are a bit quirky and some are probably too old, but there are steadfast and capable young men there as well.

    Good luck with the fundraiser!

Congratulations Jay!  That seems so ideal.  I bet your daughter and son-in-law will gain lifelong meaningful friendships of deep substance.  I’ve seen more than a few folks, who met their spouse through church,  have that church fail them, as they tried to maintain traditional White American family values.

I’ve never attended an AmRen conference, only vdare.  I’m hoping to talk a relative into a wedding celebration at the Berkeley Castle.

Why do you keep putting spaces before periods and commas, and having spaces where an apostrophe belongs? This is a typographical fingerprint I’ve never seen before with anyone else.

Trump just bombed a country that is no threat to USA.  We started a war, needlessly.  Expect retribution (body bags).  Who needs enemies when we have leaders like POTUS 47.  “Is America Doomed?”, well, going to foreign lands to kill people will be our ruin.

I agree with you.  Daniel McAdams, Executive Director of Ron Paul’s Peace & Prosperity Inst., is mad enough to chew nails over this latest barbarity:

With zero Constitutional authority President Trump has attacked Iran – a country that did not and could not threaten the United States. The attack was designed to pull Israel’s chestnuts out of the fire after it attacked Iran unprovoked and found, as Col Douglas Macgregor has reported, that Iran is retaliating in a way that Israel’s war planners did not anticipate.

Tens of thousands of American service members are immediately in danger of death because President Trump decided to put Israel first instead of America first.

This is much worse than the hapless George W. Bush attack on Iraq and it carries with it the possibility of thousands more Americans getting killed over a lie.

Americans must oppose Trump in this insane and irrational attack, backstopping the aggression of a foreign power and setting Americans up to die for that foreign power!

Can’t you just see what’s coming down the road:  a nice little false flag event, so that #47 can say, “See?!  I told you!”  Enjoy your Armageddon, MAGAtards.

I agree with Dr. Johnson’s sentiment about continuing to support Counter-Currents even though Trump seems to hint that we may have turned an ideological corner.

But in that vein I have to ask why has support for Andrew Torba’s Gab.com practically evaporated? Gab was a lifeboat when virtually every social media site had banished our movement. Does Gab not also deserve our continued support?? Yet I see less and less support and engagement on Gab from the dissident right that now sees increased acceptance achievable and sees Gab as an albatross. I support Counter-Currents and Amren and VDARE along with Gab encourage Dr Johnson to do likewise.

For the sake of consistency if nothing else.

Greater free speech on X has made GAB a ghost town. Even Torba posts now on X. It was an important project, but Musk has lured most discussion to X. GAB may come in handy, though, if X takes a more censorious turn.

I don’t have knowledge about Gab’s financial stability. But if Gab is to be a functional lifeboat to used in an emergency then it needs to be maintained like any other piece of emergency equipment. I would suggest that the major influencers in our movement make an effort to parallel post on Gab if it isn’t too time consuming. If Gab does become a “ghost town” it might not prove to be a suitable lifeboat in case of need. I just heard that the ZMan passed away. What happens when Musk passes. Tragedies happen. If we lose a few major players we could be in a a world of hurt from which recovery could be impossible.

Thank you Some One 1963 & Greg for touching on this.  It’s difficult to know how to best prioritize donations these days.  There are several individuals, groups, and websites  I want to support, but I wonder which groups are best situated to avoid destruction via modern nuisance lawfare.

I heard a JQ’d Midwestern bitchuter, who’s been making content for ~15 years, say he’s switched (away from gab) to using X on a daily basis, because he can now get information out to tens of thousands of viewers instantly — and he’s never had such easy access to such a large audience.

But, at the same time,  I can also easily imagine, that if gab were to go under,  pro-White writers & commentators could again disappear from X due to reinstated censorship against pro-Whites.

Financial, maybe, since he’s always begging for more money from his flock, like a preacher will do. Torba has to wrestle with a spiritual crisis: his constant “Christ is King” line of patter can only attract Christians. Does he still push that on X?

The Iran strike is demoralizing, but there is nothing left to be done except move on. More is on the way next week when SCOTUS (most likely) knocks down Trump’s bithright citizenship ban and upholds nationwide anti-immigration enforcement injuctions by leftwing judges. Heads they win on foreign policy because of Trump, tails we lose domestically because of rigged regime structure is frustrating.

Trump made it quite clear in the campaign that attacking Iran was on the table. So yes, we voted for this, or at least the realistic possibility of it. This was also not going to war for Israel and neocons; it was going to war for Israel and the neocons, and the Arab Gulf States, and Europe and the US Democratic Party as well–a more complex picture than “Jews” and “Israel” and “donors.”

Iran has a lot of well deserved enemies. A lot people in the world besides Jews wanted them taken out as a nuclear power. Maybe it was not such a good idea for the Iranians to spend decades threatening death to Israel and the US–vastly superior military powers– while also building nukes. The US’s smarter and wiser geopolitical rivals like China, Russia and North Korea don’t speak in such terms.

Besides, the Iranians are not us. We have our own problems. The priority now should be opposing further expansion now that the bell has been rung, while hammering immigration enforcement and deportations at a home. Maintaining intellectual rigor and honesty by not blaming Trump for outcomes he can’t control like judicial obstruction on deportations and birthright citizenship is also important for anyone not running an agenda.

“This was also not going to war for Israel and neocons; it was going to war for Israel and the neocons, and the Arab Gulf States, and Europe and the US Democratic Party as well”

      That’s clearly not true.

      (a) Arab Gulf states and Europeans have nothing to say in Washington

      (b) Democrats aren’t the ones pushing for war with Iran

      (c) how many sheets of paper fit between “Israel” and “neocons”?

You’re right though that one shouldn’t identify with the Iranians or delude oneself into thinking they’re somehow the good guys. Geopolitics follows Machiavellian logic more than emotion or even ideology, so we should try to see this as a complex (and potentially deadly) real-world strategy game.

The thing with the 60% enriched uranium is more complex:
      (1) in 2015, Iran gave up on enriching uranium for the next 15 years in return for an end to economic sanctions (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) signed in Vienna on July 14, 2015)
      (2) in 2018, Trump withdrew from that treaty in order to bully Iran into making concessions unrelated to nuclear weapons (re conventional ballistic missiles and using proxies in the region)
      (3) over the next couple years, there was a back-and-forth with Israeli/American attacks on Iranian facilities and leaders and Iran using its proxies in Iraq and elswhere – while Iran started to gradually enrich uranium again
      (4) if you look at the IAEA reports, it’s clear that Iran didn’t seriously start with enriching uranium to 60% until November or December 2024

      (5) the context was the Israelis assassinating Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary-general of the Hezbollah (Iran’s proxy) and invading Lebanon in late September 2024, which led to Iran firing 100 missiles on Israel on the first day of October, followed by an Israeli attack on Iran on the 26th October

      (6) that exchange led to Iran experiencing the worst economic crisis in decades, with high inflation and unemployment. This was particularly driven by Trump imposing “maximum pressure” sanctions in February 2025

Conclusion: Iranian uranium enrichment did not happen in a vacuum. The Iranians primarily want the sanctions lifted and edging closer to obtaining nuclear capabilities is the main card they can play to achieve this goal i.e. the enriched uranium is a bargaining chip with which to obtain a return/renewal of the 2015 treaty (which did stop further uranium enrichtment for a bunch of years).

Do they want nukes? Well, which sovereign nation doesn’t? So while the 60% enriched uranium serves primarily as a bargaining chip, it also serves secondarily to give Iran the option to build uranium bombs in the future.

There’s also the question of grotesque double-standards given that Israel has at least 90 nukes and even possesses hydrogen bombs i.e. there is no strategic balance in the region (unlike on the Indian subcontinent where both India and Pakistan have nuclear bombs). It’s hard to explain to a Muslim who feels threatened by Israel why his side cannot have the wonder weapon when his enemies have it i.e. Israel’s nuclear weapons are a very powerful incentive for Muslim nations in the region to try obtaining nukes themselves (and Iran has the best chances of actually getting there).

Please keep in mind that Neocons lie about the Middle-East conflict as much as Liberals lie about Black people.

I am a past financial contributor to CC. I will again in the future I’m sure.
Here is one thing I think that needs to be done to help your fundraising efforts. I hope you can take it on board but I understand your resources to implement it are limited.
Put out more video content. Video content can simply be that logo Greg uses on livestreams + audio. Don’t have to get a face camera set up.
Anytime there is a new development or something newsworthy, do a short video call and record it. Publish to rumble and odysee. Then us CC readers can post the link to social media or even better, post clips from it. Go LIVE to Rumble if that is doable.
The videos can be done by any of the main hosts (Greg, Cyan, David) or contributors (Endeavour, Angelo Plume, etc they’re all great). But post under the CC brand.
CC consistently has the BEST takes, but its mostly in written format. Need to get it out in audio and video. Once this happens, I think you’ll get more traffic and appreciation which will lead to more donations.

Thanks for your concern/advice, but what video content we have created cannot appear on YouTube and has gotten virtually no viewers on other platforms. It just isn’t cost-effective if videos take more time and money to produce than essays and get far fewer views.

        Fair points. My response.
The video/audio content can be as simple as starting a Telegram audio livestream with David Zsutty to cover the latest developments on XYZ. Or just more casual Rumble livestreams on the Counter Currents channel. Even if you are busy, have some of the great contributors run them. Endeavour, Plume etc. Just to get some of your good written content out in an audio format, for sharing around Telegram. Over time people will get used to it an expect these short audio/video streams.
But I understand you will get more views from the articles.
Second option to consider is getting a Counter-Currents quote template image set up and add quotes from various articles, publish them on Telegram on the chance that some will make it further onto X and other social media. Then those that discover these quotes can find their way back to CC website. White Papers has done a good job with these infographic/memes. I’ve seen them on other parts of the internet. For Counter Currents article quotes, it would be much less complicated than infographics. Just need a template and then someone to select quotes.
Some food for thought at least, (hopefully)

Greg: So how do you make money by challenging and changing people’s minds, bearing in mind that the more radical the challenge, the more out of step with the masses you will be? The answer is: you can’t…

The masses will remain the  masses. They are complacent and we know by now that they do not respond to pro-White material, not yet, anyway. More will come around as their  situations worsen, which is inevitable.

C-C has a healty cross-section of pro-Whites, including a more radical element. I appreciate that I’m allowed to put on C-C the teachings of William Pierce, that are considered by most “normies” as too radical. Tough! They need to be radicalized.

I miss Jim Goad’s weekly rants on C-C, many of which are considered “too radical” by mainstream types. An Alliance member recently shipped me a batch of excellent books from his collection for our library; Goad’s 1997 Redneck Manifesto was one of the titles.

This, from the “Prayin” Hard” chapter, paages 146-147, though from decades ago, is not just radical to some, but entertaining. It may make some Whites actually think about what they believe, and even be willing to donate money to a noble cause instead of to their churches. Forget superstitious, gullible Christlings who are offended by Jim’s blasphemous humor:

    Prayin’ Hard
Let me get this straight–your religion preaches that two thousand years ago, a Middle Eastern virgin was impregnated by a ghost. And the spawn of this ethereal sperm grew up to walk on water and multiply bread loaves and heal the sick and raise the dead and cast out literal demons. And this Love Child wasn’t just any ordinary spud, it was God incarnate who willingly submitted to a bloody S&M crucifixion to pay OUR sins, when it would have been much easier (and less messy) if He’d merely made us sin-proof in the first place. And this Miracle Baby, son of a (cough) virgin, rose from the dead after three days and now gets very upset when heavy-metal musicians slander His name. And Moses parted the Red Sea, Noah had an ark, God rained frogs on Egypt, and Joshua made the sun stand still. And even though Adam and Eve only gave birth to two boys (one of whom killed the other), the human race somehow fruitfully multiplied while avoiding the sin of incest. And remote Polynesian islanders will boil in molten lava eternally if they don’t hear the gospel. And the God who gave you a weenie will also zap you with a lightning bolt if thou darest toucheth the weenie which he didst create.
Is that it? Did I miss anything? Is this the horseshit you’re trying to peddle me? That’s not the Greatest Story Ever Told, it’s the craziest. And you tell me perhaps a third of the people on earth believe this fairy tale? Many of them are willing to kill or die for it? That’s frightening. You’re sure this isn’t some sort of sci-fi novel or supermarket tabloid conspiracy theory?…

Social media are not for me so I won’t be going on X, but if using that medium will bring more eyes to C-C,  then everyone at C-C is encouraged to do so.
