If you’ve had anything to eat in the last few years, surely you’ve experienced sticker shock. I knew there was something up when I couldn’t do a modest grocery run without my pocketbook being lightened by over two hundred bucks. As for restaurant food, even proletarian chow like burgers and fried chicken is starting to become rare indulgences for anyone without a comfortably bougie income. What’s up with that? (more…)

The last year has seen the price of a Bitcoin (BTC) crash from $69,000 to just under $16,000, a decline of approximately 77%. This is par for the course with Bitcoin, which usually has enormous 80-90% crashes every four years, with a number of smaller, 25-50% crashes occurring in between.
But as with each cycle, there are distinguishing features that set them apart. In this case, Bitcoin has matured into an asset that now has very liquid futures markets, as well as much wider mainstream adoption.
