Decolonization has become one of the most resonant and politically charged themes across the developing world. From the Caribbean to Africa, it is invoked as a moral imperative, a necessary process of reclaiming identity, sovereignty, and dignity after centuries of foreign domination. Yet in practice, the modern interpretation of decolonization has drifted far from its original purpose.
