For the past two years, I have been taking cold showers. In many ways, cold showers remind me of the writing process, particularly the concept of having “writer’s block.” Yet taking cold showers and dealing with writer’s block has given me some valuable insight into the challenges we face in the Dissident Right and the white-positive sphere.

I remember December 31, 2009 like it was yesterday. I was driving back home from work, reflecting on my life during the last ten years. I also wondered just how the 2000s would be defined or characterized as a decade. The first thoughts that came to mind about the 2000s were the ongoing wars in the Middle East after 9/11, the US election of a black president, and the increasing importance of cell phones and the internet in our daily lives.
