At the beginning of every month, Counter-Currents Subscribers can vote on the Writer and the Article of the Month for the previous month.
If you are looking at Counter-Currents on your computer, look at the sidebar menu to your right. If you are on your phone, click the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner to open up the sidebar menu. There, between Upcoming Podcasts above and Recent Posts below, you will see a new feature: Writer & Article of the Month.
If you click, you will be given the option of voting for the Writer of the Month (Left-hand column) and Article of the Month (Right-hand column). Choose one in each column. You can choose any writer and any author at all, as long as you think they are the best. You don’t have to choose the author of your favorite article, or an article by your favorite author.
The poll closes on the 5th. I’m interested to know what you think.

I’ve long thought that it’d work much better if this feature was automated. It’s not easy to think back over the past month’s worth of articles and remember them well enough to judge the best articles and authors.
I think you should just have a button or link at the bottom of each article to nominate it as one of the month’s best articles. Then the votes can be automatically tallied. The articles that get the most votes are judged to be the best of that month. Judging authors is slightly trickier, since two authors of equal quality may get different vote counts just because they wrote different numbers of articles, but it would probably be as simple as averaging the vote counts on their month’s articles.
We provide a list of all the authors and articles each month to choose from.
Yes, but you have to remember, from the title, how good the article was when you might have read it weeks prior. I think it’d work better to have the vote button right at the bottom of the article, so you can press it when the article is still fresh in your mind.
