Yeah, Covid-19 is a real virus but it’s danger has been VASTLY overstated. The average age of a Covid fatality is 80. The average life expectancy in the US is 78.5. The people who are dying of this were already on the way out.

Greg Johnson doesn’t present an argument to counter those who dismiss the pandemic as a hoax or a conspiracy… nor should he necessarily do so.

A debate on the soundness of science in the matter would ideally be evidence-based, and Counter Currents isn’t a particularly suitable forum for that. Here, GJ’s position and framing of the issue, as well as his dismissals, are ideological. He articulates precisely: Denying covid makes us look stupid.

However, the preponderance of evidence is precisely what is lacking in this Great Pandemic, and this lack facilitates the grotesqueries of political and bureaucratic overreach, and the further degradation of whites and traditional white values. Even a coherent presentation of evidence is missing. Sowing confusion and fear seems the intent.

Evidence requires evaluation. Credible evidence stands up to questioning. Any administrative actions taken upon such evidence would likewise withstand review, scrutiny and cross-examination. (Forgive me for seeming naïve, but I was born in the mid 1960s, ie in another world.) Nothing I’ve seen or read indicates an actual pandemic, but rather a panic, with some intentionally very turbid waters.

Since lockdown measures were imposed in March we’ve been treated to ceaseless repetition of approved talking points, many contradictory, plus ample fear-mongering from the usual quarters, and of course the cancellation of dissent. (Dissent now includes the most basic common sense inquiry.) Division, outrage, finger-pointing and increasing repression.

This is the product and operating goal of Cultural Marxism, and a pandemic — whether real, sort of real, or entirely ginned up — is a gift from heaven for oligarchy and the managerial apparatus.

I think the “new normal” can be profitably treated in discussion in terms as propaganda, power and ideology, the ruling ideology being cynicism and opportunism, obviously.

Medically, scientifically, Covid warrants a different sort of discussion. Or, maybe even no discussion.

Yet here we are, somehow forced to pre-qualify our position on it — the definition of compelled speech — as as an either/or. It’s then a matter of course (think Neocon wars, think Russiagate) to put black or white hats on others. And on it goes.

My nephew’s coworker who is an ICU nurse passed away 1 month ago. She was only 53 years old and had type 2 diabetes, in other words what most of America will be like in the next few years.

The disease attacks the old, the immuno-compromised, people with asthma or COPD, people with heart problem and high blood pressure. If you are obese than your chance of dying from this is very real. If you have type A

I know of many people who died from this and majority were obese or had insulin resistance.

You might be healthy now, but any type of illness that lowers your immunity is a way for this virus to exploit. We know for a fact that most Americans are pre-diabetics and fat, that alone can kill you.

Today you might be healthy but a cancer at age 35 or 25 can also kill you.

Those are people with preconditions. That they are far more susceptible to disease and fatal infections because of their mostly-chosen liftestyle is nothing new. I apologize for sounding arrogant, but you live like a slob, you die like one.

“Greg Johnson doesn’t present an argument to counter those who dismiss the pandemic as a hoax or a conspiracy… nor should he necessarily do so.”

There’s absolutely no inherent need to do so, either. The people who say such things are simply morons. The corona series of viruses have been known for awhile. Pictures of COVID-19 were on the internet within a week of the Chinese outbreak hitting the news. That’s the first thing that happens when this crap occurs – you find out what it looks like.

They’re the same idiots who latch onto every major event and ejaculate “fake! crisis actors! hoax! inside job!” The 9/11 truther blowhards, Sandyhook, holoaust deniers, or really any mass murder, etc, these ticks always come out of the woodwork and cry the same thing, every time. Questioning official narratives is healthy, but these people don’t care so much about finding “the truth” so much as being contrarian. Useless.

Greg, Ron Unz, or say, Pat Buchanan over at VDARE believing a quarter million Americans died because of Covid is just wrong, ignorant, and displays a thorough misunderstanding how viruses and pandemics work (every other outbreak in the past before 2020 took years to study and derive reliable data, yet with COVID all research methodology was perfected and we know everything there is to know about it..within a year…and have a vaccine almost ready to go. Okay, give me some of that Harry Potter magic). However, I would never accuse them of having malevolent intentions in their ignorance.

    Dear Gregory Johnson,
I agree with you and your guest that the COVID-19 pandemic is a real phenomenon and not a conspiracy theory. The problem is finding reliable information that informs the public about the pandemic. The mainstream media is worthless and you have to rely on the alternative media (i.e., the Internet) to find useful information. This takes time, effort and a lot of patience to find reliable sources.

Your friend Trevor Lynch hasn’t reviewed a movie in awhile. I have four movies about a highly contagious virus that changes people in to zombies or vampires. The movies are: 28 Days Later (2007), 28 Weeks Later (2007), The Crazies (2010) and Stakeland (2010).

I want to say thank you for the great guests you bring on Counter-Currents Radio (CCR). You and your guest provide thoughtful commentary about recent domestic and international events.
