The Counter-Currents 2020 Fundraiser:
We Are Heretics

Fenek Solère

Copernicus and his globe.

995 words

This year, Counter-Currents is trying to raise $150,000. Since our last update, we have received 28 donations totaling $2,492.16. Because we have a matching grant, that amount has been doubled to $4,984.32. The next $615 donated left in our matching grant will be doubled. We have so far received 408 donations totaling $67,323.32. This is wonderful progress. We are now almost 45% of our way to our goal; help us get to the halfway mark by next week!

The world is kept alive only by heretics: the heretic Christ, the heretic Copernicus, the heretic Tolstoy. Our symbol of faith is heresy.

— Yevgeny Zamyatin, from Tomorrow (1919)

We are heretics because we abhor the fact that a Rwandan refugee can set fire to Nantes Cathedral, or for looking with disdain upon the desecration of Beyonce and Jay Z singing “apeshit!” in the Louvre, their ebony dancers casting smoky silhouettes on milky white marble carvings like the Nike of Samothrace and the Venus de Milo, architectural and sculptural masterpieces their kind can barely comprehend let alone create.

We are dissenters because we despise the lies our politician’s reptilian eyes betray every time they speak of progress, equality, and diversity when all we see is decay. We are reactionaries because we want our children and grandchildren to stand in the long cool shadows cast on warm summer days by statues of Columbus, Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Thomas Picton, the hero of Waterloo, and the philosopher Voltaire on a leafy Parisian avenue.

We are renegades because we thrill at the memory of the Rebel Yell at Shiloh and the dragon flag fluttering on a distant green hill, a vanguard leading a torchlit procession under a flaming sun wheel and singing Unfurl the Banner around a campfire. We know to partially quote Colin Jordan’s words that “if there is anything worth fighting for, it is to preserve our race in possession and control of our own homelands, and to see that our resources of all kinds are used to the full betterment of our own nations.”

For as Zamyatin wrote while proclaiming the right to criticize:

Today is doomed to die — because yesterday died, and because tomorrow will be born. Such is the wise and cruel law. Cruel, because it condemns to eternal dissatisfaction those who already today see the distant peaks of tomorrow; wise, because eternal dissatisfaction is the only pledge of eternal movement forward, eternal creation.

This is why it is essential we disputants keep Counter-Currents, this beacon of light burning bright, this river of white consciousness flowing and this rallying point calling out amid the darkness of our times. For it is our duty not only to protest, but also to contest the immolation of our culture and this mass insurgency into our living space — not only for ourselves, but also for those who come after.

Here is how you can help.

Credit Cards

Currently, we are unable to take credit card donations except through a site called Entropy. Entropy is a site that collects “paid chat” or “superchat” donations for livestreamers. But they can take donations any time.

Just go to our Entropy page and select “send paid chat.” Entropy allows you to donate any amount from $3 and up.

If you want to leave a question or comment, they will be read and discussed on the next Counter-Currents Radio livestream, which air on Sundays noon PST/3pm EST on DLive: https://dlive.tv/Counter-Currents

Money Transfers

If your bank does free money transfers to other banks in the US, please contact [email protected].

Gift Cards

Gift cards are a useful way to make donations. Gift cards are available with all the major credit cards as well as from major retailers. You can either send gift cards as donations (either electronically or through the mail) or you can use them to make donations. Simply buy a prepaid credit card and click here to use it. If you can find a place that sells gift cards for cash, they are as anonymous as sending cash and much safer.

Checks and Money Orders

Sometimes the old ways are best. The least “de-platformable” way to send donations to Counter-Currents is to put a check or money order in the mail. Simply print and complete the Word or PDF donation form and mail it to:

Counter-Currents Publishing, Ltd.
P.O. Box 22638
San Francisco, CA 94122
USA
[email protected]

Thank you, Boomers, for keeping your checkbooks, envelopes, and stamps. There are youngsters reading this site who have never written a check or put a letter in the mail.

Bill Payment Services

If you wish to make monthly donations by mail, see if your bank has a bill payment service. Then all you need to do is set up a monthly check to be dispatched by mail to our PO box. This check can be made out to Counter-Currents or to Greg Johnson. After the initial bother of setting it up, you never have to think about it again.

Crypto-Currencies

In addition to old-fashioned paper donations, those new-fangled crypto-currencies are a good way to circumvent censorious credit card corporations.

  • Click here to go to our crypto donation page.
  • Click here for a basic primer on how to get started using crypto. Do not, however, use COINBASE. COINBASE will not allow you to send money to Counter-Currents. (Yes, it is that bad.)

The Counter-Currents Foundation

Note: Donations to Counter-Currents Publishing are not tax-deductible. We do, however, have a 501c3 tax-exempt educational corporation called The Counter-Currents Foundation. If you want to make a tax-deductible gift, please email Greg Johnson at [email protected]. You can send donations by mail to:

The Counter-Currents Foundation
P.O. Box 22638
San Francisco, CA 94122
USA

Remember Us in Your Will

Finally, we would like to broach a very delicate topic: your will. If you are planning your estate, please think about how you can continue helping the cause even after you are gone. The essay “Majority Estate Planning” contains many helpful suggestions.

Remember: those who fight for the Golden Age live in it today.
