The original Occidental Observer comment thread from my essay “Dealing with the Holocaust” got up to 761 comments. It was deleted more than three years later by Kevin MacDonald, who wanted to get rid of unmoderated, crank- and troll-riddled comment threads. One can, however, read it on Archive.org’s Wayback Machine. The snapshot of June 26, 2015 is the last one containing the thread.
I in no way object to Kevin MacDonald’s decision, since the comments were always available at Archive.org. I am posting a link here for two reasons. First, I am quite pleased with this discussion thread. Yes, there are negative comments, but they are ably rebutted by me and by other readers. Second, the removal of the comments has allowed the mendacious and mentally ill to stir up drama about them. Now you know where to find them. So read and judge for yourself. The comments are in reverse order, with the latest ones on top. Enjoy!

Revisionism in the mainstream:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/books/what-to-read/final-solution-the-fate-of-the-jews-1933-1949-by-david-cesarani/
“Indeed, so frustrated is Cesarani with public ‘misconceptions’ that he proposes ‘retiring’ the word Holocaust, which has ‘passed its sell-by date’ due to the false picture it summons of industrialised efficiency. Rather, Cesarani says – apologising for the crassness of the term – it was a ‘cock-up’, a catastrophe that unfolded in the manner it did because the other paths Hitler’s henchmen might have taken to find a ‘solution’ were closed off.”

What is the point of maintaining and moderating comment sections? Are they really that important? I guess to some people they are. I tend to view them as not that important, just people giving their two cents.
The Holocaust topic is something that pulls you in. It is like it has a gravitational field of some kind. Look over those comments and see how many important areas and topics were covered. It reads like a White Nationalist theory and philosophy course. I don’t think there is any solution to the Holocaust controversy, just our need to be aware of it. One thing is for sure, those revisionists who suffered in jails and from ostracism have done the whole world a favor. Through the suffering of a few the world reaps an enormous benefit: The truth.
