Conservatives are finally seeing the results of what has been a long overdue reckoning with diversity, equity, and inclusion. Across the economy and the wider institutional landscape, once enthusiastic champions of race-based preference are now retrenching. Major corporations like Walmart, Lowe’s, Meta, and others are scaling back their diversity, equity and inclusion programs amid legal and political pressure.
