Conservatives are finally seeing the results of what has been a long overdue reckoning with diversity, equity, and inclusion. Across the economy and the wider institutional landscape, once enthusiastic champions of race-based preference are now retrenching. Major corporations like Walmart, Lowe’s, Meta, and others are scaling back their diversity, equity and inclusion programs amid legal and political pressure. Walmart has abandoned its formal DEI commitments and begun phasing out racial equity initiatives. (more…)
