In their panicked, headlong rush to prove that the Canadian military is capable of defending the northern country’s sovereignty, successive Liberal federal governments under the auspices of Prime Ministers Justin Trudeau and Mark Carney made some terrible mistakes. In their frenetic panic to balloon the overall number of Canadian military personnel, they decided to open the doors to permanent residents (aka non-citizens), people with mental health issues, learning disabilities, and illiterate denizens from the Third World.
