“Any organization not explicitly right-wing sooner or later becomes left-wing.” — Robert Conquest, “Three Laws of Politics” (#2)
There is a surfeit of organizations that confirm the rule of this law as formulated by Robert Conquest. John Derbyshire (Isegoria) cites the Church as an example. The Catholic Church? The current Pope? Way too obvious to waste precious words. How about those starch-collared, teetotaling, Bible-thumping Baptists? Well, sorry. Hell-fire, apparently, is now reserved for “racists.” (more…)

Year three of ROC — the Reign of Covid — will soon be upon us. The “old normal,” bad as it was, already has for me a faraway, nostalgic call. (more…)

If, in a not-too-distant future when everything that is currently wrong with American culture has grown worse and I was forced to testify before a Senate Subcommittee Investigation to Uncover Hate in the Entertainment Industry, I would be able to present copious evidence that comedian Patton Oswalt has repeatedly referred to me as his friend over the course of several years. This is all public knowledge. (more…)

Asian Women Make More Money than White Men; Black Males Respond by Attacking Asian Women
Though we live in a white-supremacist patriarchy that ensures white males get all the breaks and receive all the unearned dividends, recent stats from the US Department of Labor suggest that Asian women and their tiny clitorises have figured out a way to worm themselves around the odds that are so starkly stacked against them.
During the third quarter of 2021 (July to September), Asian women earned, on average, 10% more than white men did. This continues a trend that started in 2020. (more…)

Back in the late 1980s, when Republican strategist Lee Atwater made a grand public display of posturing as a blues musician, musicians rightly recoiled and said that he was way out of his element.
However, I don’t think I’ve ever encountered a musician, many of whom seem to have trouble wiping themselves and tying their own shoelaces, who didn’t act as if they were qualified to endlessly opine about politics and the way the world should be run. (more…)

Part 2 of 2 (Part 1 here)
Another turn . . .
Why am I writing about Sarah Silverman in the first place? It’s because she has rebranded yet again, this time as an “anti-cancel culture” centrist (I guess?), and I think she may become dangerous in the future. She may even try to slither in our direction. (more…)

The release of a new James Bond film is always a cause for celebration. I’ve been following Bond since I was six or seven years old, but the series is even older than I am. Isn’t it remarkable that the same family has been making these films now for sixty years? There is nothing quite like the Bond phenomenon.
The release of No Time to Die was held up for more than a year due to the Chinese coronavirus, but now it is shaping up to be by far the most successful post-pandemic cinematic release. (more…)

No Time to Die is an excellent Bond film. It belongs in the company of Casino Royale and Skyfall and quite self-consciously reaches for the heights of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, which is arguably the best Bond film ever.
I was especially looking forward to No Time to Die because — although it is very much a minority opinion — my favorite Bond actor is Daniel Craig. (more…)
