I suppose it’s fitting that 247 years after our all-white and all-male Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, a cross-dressing black male perpetrated a mass shooting in Philly this July 4 holiday.

Every few months or so, a mainstream news outlet rolls out another puff piece on “national conservatism,” Curtis Yarvin and Neoreaction, the “Dimes Square” scene, or the so-called “Intellectual Dark Web” (IDW). These subcultures have little in common apart from the fact that they are all vaguely Right-wing movements that evade the topic of race — and the media are keen to platform alternative political subcultures that do not address demographic displacement. Last year, Vanity Fair published a lengthy article on America’s “New Right” that discussed a range of Dissident Right figures and trends, but did not make a single mention of Counter-Currents or White Nationalism. I’ll always remember the day Twitter restored my long-suspended account — not because it was a particularly meaningful occasion for me, but because it happened to fall on Valentine’s Day. Elon Musk’s romantic gift, as I jokingly thought of it, lasted little longer than a bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates. Over the course of the next 14 minutes, she killed three nine-year-old students and three adults, all of whom were in their early 60s. Last Saturday afternoon at a public park east of Manchester in northern England, a 16-year-old male whose first name at birth was “Brett” died from multiple stab wounds. I don’t know Brett’s legal surname at the moment, because the press has refrained from reporting it.

At some point — from what I am able to infer from news reports, it was less than a year ago — Brett decided that his name was “Brianna” and declared that he was a female rather than a male. (more…)
