    Beautiful, But Dumb:
    Gattaca

    2,053 words

Gattaca (1997) is a dystopian science fiction movie set sometime in the mid-21st century. Mankind is doing a lot of manned space exploration. Genetic engineering and zygote selection have eliminated major and minor genetic problems, from mental illness to baldness. As a smiling black man who works as a eugenics counselor explains to a pair of prospective parents, the children produced by these techniques “are still you, just the best of you.” (more…)

    Lothrop Stoddard:
    A Prophet We Should Study

    2,207 words

We can’t say we weren’t warned. Around the time of the First World War, when Europe ruled nearly every part of the Earth, Theodore Lothrop Stoddard wrote a series of highly regarded books and articles about the global racial situation that argued European global rule was coming unglued. Stoddard, a Harvard-educated scholar, was also pro-white figure; he was consequently memory-holed by the establishment after World War II and his death in 1950. It’s precisely because of this we need to continue listening to his words.

    Technologická utopie a etnický nacionalismus

    2,614 slov

    English original here

    Biospenglerianism

    Dr. Edward Dutton

    1,766 words

We know from Spengler that each great civilization goes through a cycle: hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men. On the Dissident Right, our belief is in personal responsibility, in taking ownership for who and what we are. If we accept this intellectually, it gives us a blind spot with regard to biology and just how immutable heritability is, however. Blood trumps culture and policy, even naked power. Heritability is the ultimate red-pill, and in some ways the ultimate black-pill (and then a white-pill).

The Sci-Fi Channel’s Dune & Children of Dune

    1,723 words

David Lynch’s Dune (1984) is a flawed masterpiece. When I first saw it, I was deeply disappointed. Frank Herbert’s original novel made a powerful impression on me. I could see Herbert’s world, and Lynch’s vision was not my vision. But when my initial impression faded and I returned to Lynch’s film with an open mind, I found it immensely imaginative and compelling. Even the score by Toto managed to grow on me.  (more…)

    Technological Utopianism & Ethnic Nationalism

    2,904 words

    French version here

    Author’s Note:

This is the text of my talk at the fourth meeting of the Scandza Forum in Copenhagen, Denmark, on September 15, 2018. Madison Grant

    1,579 words

    Czech version here

John Powell & the Soul of American Classical Music

    John Powell

    3,292 words

The history of American classical music has been shaped by the quest to define the nature of American identity. Lacking the rootedness and history of Europe, we have been forced to mold a new identity as a nation. Likewise American composers have been faced with the task of creating an authentically American sound.

A number of American composers during the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries held the view that American music must necessarily reflect America’s racial and cultural inheritance. (more…)
