Former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated on July 13 at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old former Fire Chief and father of two who had lived his entire life in nearby Sarver, Pennsylvania was not so lucky. Someone tried to assassinate Donald Trump as he gave a speech in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania last Saturday. The shooter missed by centimeters, only grazing Trump’s ear. Three other people were shot, however, one fatally. The iconic image of Trump raising his fist in defiance is the stuff memes are made of. It was an emotional event.
In the days since, some Right-wingers have been trying to “cancel” those liberals who have made light of the event, or more commonly lamenting that the assassin did not succeed. The first such major example involved the Gen-X musical comedy duo Tenacious D. (more…)

Donald Trump wasn’t the only one who dodged a bullet on July 13, 2024. America herself had a brush with death.
What do you think would have happened if the idol of those 70 million Americans who own most of America’s 300 million guns had been killed on live television? I think there would have been retribution, leading to tit-for-tat violence, which could easily have spun into civil war.
Who would have been the targets? That’s easy: The death lists are already compiled online — from the most prestigious newspapers and magazines all the way down to antifa-infested ratholes — where countless liberals and Leftists have been openly laying the groundwork for this assassination by painting Trump as a fascist threat to democracy.
