Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. — John Adams (more…)

If some all-knowing, extraterrestrial school teacher sent out report cards on all the dictators who have flourished since World War I, we might be surprised to find the only one with straight A’s was a man most of the Western world has already half forgotten. I am referring to Kemal Atatürk, the fair-haired, blue-eyed Macedonian who transformed the Ottoman Empire (for centuries the “sick man” of Europe) into the streamlined modern state of Turkey, the strongest nation in the Middle East. — Wilmot Robertson, “Homage to Kemal Atatürk” (more…)

You are much less free than you used to be just a few short years ago; this an irrefutable fact. Almost daily in 2020 and 2021 we have witnessed scenes of tyranny and repression which we would never have thought possible in modern Western states. We have looked on as Australian construction workers were riddled with rubber bullets as they rallied for their right to work without vaccine passes. We have watched tens of thousands of medical workers who were previously vaunted as heroes thrown out of their jobs because they did not comply with vaccine mandates. (more…)

If you’re a regular reader of Counter-Currents, you probably know that there’s a school of thought within the Dissident Right which argues for traditional Catholicism and integralism. We call them TradCaths for short. They’re a good bunch as far as people go. Sure, they might take their worship of G. K. Chesterton a bit too far and may not fully appreciate the man as a pioneer of the murder mystery genre (which he manages to merge with Catholic traditionalism in The Man Who Was Thursday, but that falls outside the scope of this essay), but at least they can be relied upon not to hurl invective at us . . . She is passionate about intersectional feminism, and the representation of minorities in public life. She hopes to use her experiences as a female British Indian with Borderline Personality Disorder to advocate for diversity within education.[1]
Ms. Khurjekar’s bio is somewhat grammatically ambiguous. (more…)

Be careful out there this week, guys: As the old saying goes, White Nationalists always die in threes. Or maybe I’m thinking of celebrities. I dunno. Either way, be careful, because over the weekend, news broke on social media about the passing of not one, but two Dissident Rightists. Both were deeply involved in the Alt Right circa 2017-2018, but had faded from public view in recent years. (more…)

Red Pill
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 2020Though its origins lie in the big-budget science fiction film The Matrix, the now-infamous term “red pill” has recently undergone a subconscious attempt by center-of-the-Overton-window content creators to reclaim it from its primary users: the internet-based Dissident Right. It is a relatively easy proposition to send a car over the Grand Canyon: Just put the transmission into neutral and a small push will send the car careening over the edge. Once this process has begun, however, it is almost impossible to suspend. (more…)

All those who place their faith in fire
In fire their fate shall be repaid[1]“The New Monarchy: Wokeness as a Survival Strategy” is another great essay by Gregory Hood, which should be read by all. Being a total narcissist, I was struck by a couple of points that seemed to tie in with some of my own thinking, which I’d like to expand on here. (more…)

I had a bad feeling as Saturday began. Nick Fuentes had planned two anti-vax rallies in Manhattan. His anti-vax rally on Staten Island three days prior had gone swimmingly, but there were reasons to feel pessimistic about the Manhattan ones. (more…)
