Recently, Jessica Krug, a Jewish Left-wing activist and professor at George Washington University, revealed that she had been assuming black and Latino identities for a good deal of her adult life. Krug’s confession, entitled “The Truth, and the Anti-Black Violence of My Lies,” is about as angst-ridden and precious as a breakup poem penned by a fourteen-year-old girl. This morning I woke up to the news of another casualty in the culture war. A dusty, 20-year-old skit of late-night comedian and SNL alum Jimmy Fallon donning brown makeup and a wig to mimic African racial features, in a Chris Rock impersonation, went viral. And just like clockwork, Fallon is on Twitter performing the self-flagellation ritual that is demanded of him by the anti-racism Sanhedrin. (more…)

Few outside England and under 50 will have noted the passing last month of one of Britain’s great comic character actors: Windsor Davies. Although born in North London, he was actually Welsh by parentage, gifting him an accent he made much use of, delivered in a timber-shaking baritone. (more…)
