Fundraiser Update
Posted By Greg Johnson On In North American New Right | Comments Disabled1. Our Fundraiser Update
This year, as in the last few years, Counter-Currents’ annual fundraiser goal is $300,000. Thanks to our generous friends, our fundraiser total is now at $191,841.90. But we are still lagging way behind where we were last year at this time: $231,850.06.
Last week, I had a report put together of people who donated in 2024 but haven’t (yet) donated this year. I was astonished when I opened the file to find more than 200 names who gave more than $93,000 in 2024 but not (yet) in 2025. That certainly explains the shortfall.
It is normal to lose some donors each year. For instance, when someone pays $1,400 for a lifetime paywall subscription, that’s not something they repeat every year. But this is a lot more than normal attrition. Thus I started reaching out to these donors, and I will continue to do so until I reach every one who gave us an email address. We’d love your help, and if you can’t this year, we’d love to know why.
Thus far, the most common answer is what we expected: the economy is terrible. It went bad with Covid, and for most normal people, it has not recovered.
If you are just waiting to the last minute, well, it is drawing near.
There are many ways to donate, but the easiest is with an e-check donation. All you need is your checkbook.
You can explore all your donation options on our Donate [2] page.
Remember: those who fight for a better world live in it today.
Thank you again for your loyal readership and generous support.
2. Some Site Upgrades
Counter-Currents has been making a number of site upgrades, both on the front end and the back end. Here are some you might have noticed:
- Our new Patrons [3] page for higher dollar donors.
- Our dark mode is now easier on the eyes.
- When you click on images, they do not open in new tabs but in an elegant overlay with captions and a slide show option if the article has multiple images.
- Miscellaneous improvements to the comment section, including the ability to like comments on closed comment threads.
Soon we will be rolling out a feature allowing you to vote on the Writer of the Month and Article of the Month for each passing month.
But I won’t tell you all the upgrades. Instead, I’ll leave them as Easter eggs for you to find. Please comment below.
