The Expulsion of the Jews from Spain – Emilio Sala Francés, 1889
One of the most important lessons I learned from reading Bertrand de Jouvenel’s On Power is that revolutions happen against weak regimes, not against strong ones. This is not the romanticized version of history that we frequently get from the media or the schools. George III, Louis XVI, and Nicholas II have all been portrayed as terrible tyrants over which a ragtag team of plucky revolutionaries managed, against all odds, to be victorious. The truth is rather different. In fact, these were all weak leaders. The Czar’s secret police, the Okhrana, consisted of only a few thousand agents in a country of 140 million.
Another lesson I learned from reading de Jouvenel is that the revolutionaries always replace weak authoritarian regimes with strong ones (yes, that’s even true of the American Revolution: does anyone seriously think we’re freer today than we were under George III?). Under the communists in Russia, the number of secret police swelled to hundreds of thousands. But the peaceful overthrow of communism in Europe in the 1980s and 1990s resulted from the fact that these regimes were no longer as strong as they once had been.
When the Soviet Union collapsed I remember my shock quite well. I had spent all my life living in a world divided between the West and a great grey and sinister unknown that lay behind the Iron Curtain. Everyone believed, myself included, that the Soviet Union was eternal, in just the same way we believe America is eternal. And then, suddenly, a shift took place. Whereas once the citizens of communist regimes had been terrified to voice dissent, more and more began to. They smelled blood. They sensed that the regime had become weak. They no longer believed the lies.
The communist countries eventually arrived at a point that has been much commented on, where the people knew that the regime was lying to them and the regime knew that they knew, yet kept on telling the same lies. Sound familiar? Such a situation is not sustainable, especially when those who have been tyrannized over are literally able to look over a wall and see that the grass really is greener on the other side. They had been promised for years that their own grass would get greener but it never happened. It was obvious to everyone that communism was a failure.
I was reminded of all of this just the other day when I was talking with a friend about our glorious new renaissance of anti-Semitism. Very often in the last few months both of us have uttered some version or other of the following sentiment, “If you had told me twenty years ago that people today would be talking the way that they are talking I would have thought you mad – or, at the very least, impossibly naïve.” When I first got involved in what my friends and I call “the movement,” about twenty-five years ago, most of what we did was sit around with other likeminded folks, hang our heads and say, “When are people going to wake up?”
I have now come to the happy conclusion that it is time to retire this question. There no longer is a need to ask it, because it does indeed seem that people are waking up. Honestly, I did not think that I would live to see this, but prominent and influential individuals are now openly discussing the problem of Jewish power in surprisingly frank terms. My readers are too familiar with this phenomenon to need me to summarize it for them, but I will mention that I am thinking of figures like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, Mark Dice, and others. And it is not just about the Jewish question that people are waking up. Mark Dice, who is frankly anti-Semitic and has 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube, is also totally red pilled on race and the insuperable problems posed by a society that includes blacks.
To my knowledge, however, no one has noticed something very obvious about this extraordinary phenomenon: it would not be occurring if Jewish power were not already slipping. Make no mistake, the Jews are still extraordinarily wealthy and powerful. But this frank and open backlash against them would not be taking place if the aforementioned influencers, and others like them, genuinely feared the Jews. To be sure, people like Tucker Carlson are still choosing their words rather carefully, preferring to talk about “Israel” rather than “the Jews.” Yet Carlson has said on his podcast that for years he avoided talking about this issue. Now he is talking about it with a great deal of openness, as are Owens and others.
Why? What changed? Carlson had once feared Jewish power and feared the consequences of speaking out against it. Now he fears it less. This is due to a constellation of factors. Jews still effectively control mainstream media, but, despite their best efforts, they cannot control the internet. And if one just spends a little bit of time online one will find that there is absolutely no reason for any anti-Semite to feel lonely today.
There is strength in numbers. There are some who will not speak out because they think that they are alone, or at least that there are not many that share their views. So long as they fear that if they stuck their necks out others would not come to their defense, then they will not speak. But when they see others openly expressing their most forbidden thoughts — people on both sides of the political spectrum — when they see that their own thoughtcrime is on the way to becoming genuinely mainstream, they get a lot bolder.
Again, echoing de Jouvenel, such dissent is not launched against strong tyrannies but against those that have become weak. John Mearsheimer has recently made a similar point, arguing that Israel is already finished because public support for the Jewish state has now cratered. Given Jewish arrogance it is difficult to see how they are going to be able to get themselves out of this pickle.
The point I am making may seem obvious to you, but sometimes it is important to state the obvious. The recent remarkable upsurge in criticism of the Jews involves drawing the public’s attention to Jewish power. But this upsurge in criticism would not be taking place if Jewish power weren’t already beginning to weaken. This is very good news indeed, and I have stopped my constant whining about wanting to go back to the 1970s.

Eric Hoffer, the “Longshoreman Philosopher,” wrote in his 1963 book The Ordeal of Change that repressive regimes are not toppled at the height of their repression, but when they begin to reform and liberalize. He suggested it was like the difference between having a foot firmly on your back holding you down–making it impossible to fight back–and when your abuser lets up on his foot pressure a bit, allowing you to make your move.
I’m now entering my eighth decade. At no time in my life have I seen negative opinions of Jews expressed publicly on the right without universal condemnation–until recently. The Jews still have a lot of weapons at their disposal, but there is a feeling in the air of defiance that is entirely new. The left, by joining with their Islamic pets to oppose Jewish “colonialism,” have created a space for right-wing criticism of Jewish corruption, propaganda, and manipulation. It was that same left who led the past condemnation of right-wing Jewish criticism, but no longer. It will be very interesting to see where this leads.
Regime change can happen when The Powers That Be push the repression too far. Then the day comes when the masses realize that the government can’t single out everyone. One example is the Iranian Revolution. (Unfortunately, they traded out one asshole dictator for another.) In my estimation, Britain is getting pretty close to that point. It also wouldn’t surprise me one bit if the French rose up sooner or later.
Beau, I would love to agree with you. But there has to be some glimmer of daylight for resistance. The USSR fell when it realized it had to liberalize its economy and open themselves up to the West a bit. Cuba has had no revolt, because the Castros still hold the country in an iron grip. Iran was extremely complex. It may not have been the Shah’s repression that brought the common people into the revolutionary fold, but their growing resentment toward the Western influence and the presence of affluent Westerners and non-Iranian Middle Eastern minorities. I think the repression hardly touched most common people there–it may be that the repression was never that strong in the first place.
I think the European countries you cite are in a better situation than the worst totalitarian states. The repression is just starting to get severe when you compare it with the regimes of Lenin, Stalin, and Castro. The repression in Europe was soft at first and there was a bit of freedom allowed. There is still enough oxygen left in the system for resistance to gain strength and organize. Once it calcifies into brutal and complete totalitarianism like the early USSR, fighting back will be much harder.
Two things come to mind. When a power or faction loses control there is a vacuum. That vacuum gets filled. Is our faction properly positioned to fill it? Do we have the sharpest elbows and advantages necessary to get the pole position? I see via things like the new Austin TX heterodox academy, Ellison/Weiss takeover of CBS, techno optimists … Woke Right … … that the other side is forming as a new right that is really a ‘just to the left of our golems hope to fool the center’, action. Perhaps it is a rear guard action. They even have very sophisticated, ‘we are American’, propaganda. They have fully donned the American suit. I even see them overtly claiming credit for books, ideas … … that are undeniably written and created by the emergent true right. Do you have some sense of the current landscape and how we can move about it?
The second is the clock ticking on demographic replacement and minority status for Whites. Clearly the massive acceleration and proliferation of this by the Mayorkas syndicate is both hands on our throat and squeezing as hard as possible. Is that desperation or is it finally in a position to as Biden was making his slogan for ’24, “Finish The Job.” Even if The Regime falls, what is our position if we are badly outnumbered and what is the time horizon where we can still maneuver effectively as the numbers work increasingly against us?

With the changing face of the Democratic Party, their grip on power is slipping and still they fielded the weakest possible candidate. Granted, their position was not strong to begin with. Yet somehow, they seemed to simply give it away.
Trump’s first priority has proven to be Israel and the Jews—through deportation policies, censorship, and the criminalization of criticism of the Israeli state.
At times, if you step back and take in the whole picture, it almost makes sense.
I rather think that Trump was allowed to get presidency just to make him a scapegoat for the future loss of American power and for the transfer of the role of “world cop” from the US to the PRC. The world globalist elite will anyway make China the ONE world superpower, but to blame Trump and also his supporters, “bad White people”, for this, would be a nice supplement to their plans.

In 2020, “they” were the Democrats who stole the election and the establishment Republicans and centrists who didn’t want to fight about it and were mostly relieved to be rid of Trump.
They changed their strategies and tried to rub him out. Two attempts didn’t work, and there probably wasn’t time to mass-produce ballots and get everything ready behind the scenes.

Anyone who thinks that power operates in a vacuum is both foolish and naive. Donald Trump is doing as he is told for the most part. Throwing some blacks in jail is not a revolutionary move.

I’m happy too that Jewish power has been weakening, but there’s a difference between today and previous centuries: there are new tools which regimes can use to oppress their peoples that despots of the past would have used if they had them. With the Trump administration, we’ve had a very welcome respite from that, but things could easily change. The Biden administration aggressively used censorship, surveillance, lawfare, and other weapons against law-abiding Americans. Debanking has been used in various countries against political opponents. NGO’s and corporations use Cancelling in cooperation with governments. Anarcho-Tyranny is probably an intentional strategy, as in American cities. If the Democrats get back into power in the USA, they will use these tools as severely as they can. Rather than moderating in response to Trump’s victory, they are getting more extreme and dangerous. I don’t trust either political party, but we need to brace ourselves for what might happen after Trump, Vance or other MAGA successors are gone. I don’t like Trump’s support of Israel and connections with (((donors))), or the GOP censoring of “anti-semitism,” but the 2024 election really did have substantial positive effects, resulting partly in more people willing to speak their minds. Those good effects could be wiped away in a few weeks.
I don’t mean to be pessimistic. I’ve been very heartened by the developments described here. I agree with others that more whites are finally “noticing.” But in periods of decline, things can go various ways. We just need to keep doing our bit, and sometimes still proceed with caution.
Another related factor: Back in the 70’s or 80’s, a political scientist argued that a major component of revolutions has been the presence of a social class with thwarted expectations. We see this now in the USA, Britain and western Europe, with many young, native adults unable to reach the standard of living that their parents had, or even approaching a reasonable standard. David Betz recently emphasized that this will stimulate unrest in Britain, along with the other crazy factors there such as mass immigration and 2-tier justice. More than one British commentator has said recently that there are no political solutions that are seriously being considered by Britain’s rulers. Some of the prevalent talk online about a coming civil war could be “ops,” but it does seem that things could boil over. Another “peasant revolt” could be in the making, but it’s complicated. Much of the popular support for “Palestine” on campuses boils down to anti-whiteness. Thank God for the remnants of the working classes, who have had their noses continually rubbed in the shit. They seem to be doing most of the pushback against the Regime. The hope might still lie with the Proles.

Are non-working-class westerners any less distracted or less controlled than the working classes? There are an awful lot of middle and upper class people who subscribe to Netflix, and are devoted to the NFL, the NBA, and the Premier League. Who still send their kids to Woke private schools and colleges. Who put “Hate has no home here” signs in their front yards. Who happily threw their kids into the Trans mutilation machine. And who kneeled for BLM in 2020.

Orwell was a great writer, and yes, Bread & Circuses are still problems, but Orwell’s comment doesn’t explain what has been happening with the pushback we’ve seen in the West, for at least a decade now.
I infinitely prefer working-class whites to upper-middle-class latte-loving ladies of leisure of both sexes, don’t get me wrong, but I’m around them every day and they are simply not racially aware in the way they need to be. They need direction from above. Have working-class Brits truly showed more spine these past couple years? Absolutely. But I’m originally from that island. I remember them easily retreating to lager and “the football.”
I agree that working classes have their problems, and I don’t want to over-idealize them. I grew up in an American industrial city, and so I witnessed from several decades back what some of the related social problems have been. Many of those problems have only gotten much worse. And I share your frustration about the lack of racial awareness. It seems to me that that has been a problem in all social classes, ranging from Wigger welfare recipients near the bottom, up to wealthy Citizens of the World at the top, who are completely insulated.
In my experience, a lot of working- and lower-middle-class people have been more race realist, partly because they have had to live and work much closer to Diversity. My mom was like this. Dad originally came from out in the sticks–a completely white area–and worked later in white collar jobs. He tended to be less race-realist. It’s anecdotal, I know, but in my own work experience I saw similar patterns. And in England, it seems that a lot of middle class people still haven’t shaken off egalitarian, civic nationalist dogma. As in America, many of the white kids in universities have been brainwashed by Decolonialism, etc. But the whites stuck in the more industrial areas have been at the tip of the spear, where immigrant presence is more overwhelming.
Sometimes I hate to pigeonhole people too much into classes, but there’s some limited truth in it. I guess Orwell usually knew what he was talking about, so he was often on target, as in that quote, which I do think has truth in it.

The latte sipping ladies (the real ones) could be an asset for our side as they have been in organisations like the Citizens’s Council Daughters of the American Revolution, the Paul Reveres and the John Birch Society. They just need to be thoroughly reeducated in particular about the origin and intent of the word ‘raycist’ and the righteous need for a moral crusade against those who have used it.

There are almost no proles anymore. The most of industries were transferred to Asia, so the proles of today are Asians.
And yet, doesn’t that sound like the good life? Bringing up kids, making friends as adults, physically satisfying work, work that proves your sense of self-worth. And, importantly, the opportunity and where-with-all to kick back from time to time, to laugh and play. You don’t have to be a participant in matters of worldly importance, as long as your life proceeds from one stage to the next as you hoped it might, with challenges but no terrible hardships. Often it’s when things go off the rails that people get principled and dedicate themselves to a cause.
So then what, after all the active clubs, and intellectual counter-enlightenment formations, and White flighting it as far as one can, is there left to do cause it’s obvious they want us tortured to death. Where to from here?
We will need to improvise, be patient, stick to principles, and outlast our enemies. Prudence plus striking when the iron is hot are important. Most of us are familiar with the tools that our enemies use against us, which I listed above, but our enemies have weaknesses, and make mistakes. And unpredictable events happen.
Networking with like-minded people is important. Before the American Revolution, colonists created Committees of Correspondence, which planned actions against the British government, and provided mutual support.
Throughout its history, America had a wealth of mutual support groups. These have mostly died out, but could be revived again. They would be very helpful if they grow to a large enough scale.
Preserving knowledge and traditions are important. That’s one thing that Counter Currents does, but it’s also something that individuals and families need to do–preserving books and pictures, raising and teaching children in certain ways, etc.
In England recently, people have been active in demonstrations against mass migration. Over the past couple of years or so, people secretly went out and destroyed ULEZ cameras in cities. In very recent days, there has been an outbreak of English people flying English flags, to an unusual degree there. In America that’s not so unusual, but in England it’s newsworthy. Ed Dutton said yesterday that he has never seen “such unleashed English nationalism,” on a grass-roots level, outside of football and the kind of patriotism that was encouraged by governments long ago. “Spontaneous anything is dangerous if you’re a paranoid government that doesn’t have the backing of most people, that just uses fear to ride roughshod…. So this is a very interesting development.” The UK government is trying to do things such as shutting down pubs. That gives an idea of what scares them. There is also a spiritual component in this fight. So we need to get right with God. That will not go over well with some people, but my experience and observation proves to me that it is so. There is an increase in younger people in America and Britain that are turning to traditional Christianity. That’s a hopeful sign.
At the risk of playing devil’s advocate and blackpiller, it would behoove us to remember that a lot of the “antisemitism” in the air today is being too-conveniently exclusively redirected at the deicider ziostate. Meanwhile, the diaspora deiciders can slip away and claim they don’t want anything to do with the “evil white colonialist ziostate”, and claim to stand together shoulder to shoulder with “fellow americans”, specially those of color.
Likewise, i wouldn’t trust the commies/proles too much, considering how race-blind they are. While indeed the elites are very cucked and enthralled by corp-profit/state-power, there are some elements who don’t want to be replaced at the top by rich nons, and who must collaborate with some elements among middle and lower classes that likewise don’t just want better living conditions (sorely needed, undeniably) but also don’t want their people and society and traditions to disappear – can’t have a free turkey without Thanksgiving, after all. And lest we forget, class collaboration is very nationalist.
Altho it’s true, there is a growing awareness of the jq and of race, we mustn’t think we are at the finish line, specially considering our numbers – which remain low even among our kind. There are still lots of fake ops we need to dissuade, now more than ever. For every successful revolt, there have been several failed ones. Let’s keep building up til the tide can’t be stopped

On Wikipedia we read:

Conclusion: Dick Carlson became “involved in that world” at some point around 2000 i.e. late in his career (Carlson was born 1941). But that came after rising as a reporter in the MSM during the 60s/70s, becoming a banker, being make director of VOA in the 80s and a US ambassador in the 90s.

And that does not at all imply that Tucker Carlson himself had that connection.
This is typical smear artistry on Fuentes’ part: read JD Vance’s book, read Jim Goad’s book, look at the things Tucker said about his dad, and then take things said in astonishing candor and turn them against the person, lodgin them as an indictment, a “gotcha” while grandstanding to drooling cretins as if one has discovered some deeply hidden secrets. Yeah, deep secrets …announced to the whole world.
As far as I can see, the only things in Fuentes’ expose of Tucker that Tucker didn’t expose himself are the unwarranted claims, like Tucker’s father’s career was in the CIA or Tucker is CIA. Basically, stuff Fuentes made up.

There is a far more compelling case that Fuentes is an enemy asset than Tucker.
I find it bizarre that someone would accuse Tucker Carlson of being a CIA asset, given how often he promotes anti-CIA conspiracy theories on his show and how visibly disappointed he is when one of his guests can’t or won’t confirm a link to the CIA (as happened in the episode on the Oklahoma City Bombing).
I know most of the conspiracy scenarios that are on his show and I’ve never seen Carlson try to minimize or distract from the CIA angle. The opposite, rather.
On the Tucker Carlson Show, the feds are always the bad guys, and possible CIA involvement is always emphasized/highlighted, because nothing makes the gov look worse given the CIA’s role as archetypical bad faith actor in conspiracy lore.
The CIA may be bad. But at least it is better to collaborate with the CIA, than with the KGB/SVR/FSB or GRU.

Well, the beauty of truth is that it’s tirelessly working on dismantling falsehoods. How many generations of liberated blacks have we seen? How many colonized African nations have been liberated? Yet the behavior pattern remains the same no matter where and when.
It may have sounded plausible in the 60s that blacks were only held back by the environment. How plausible does it sound now? With respect to the arguments made that Democrats have fielded weak candidates since 2016, that is of course true.
But this is unintentional not deliberate. They can’t help themselves. The System (I’ll use William Pierce’s word) did not do this to put Trump into power. That is the last thing that they wanted. Sorry.
In reality, the System elites like the corporate mass-media are almost incapable of putting their wet finger into the wind of populist sentiment to draw an accurate gauge because they operate in their own anti-White Liberal echo chambers.
If they had bothered to attend a Trump rally between 2016 and 2024 ─ and had actually taken off their own blinders and observed the people and not the semi-scripted shows ─ then they might have gotten a better barometric reading.
They thought Hillary would win a landslide in 2016.
They thought Senile Joe was good for them and that his passivity might have even been an asset for the more-colored or Squad-oriented Democrats. The Autopen-in-Chief did not need to be convinced to be anti-White.
Not until a few months before the 2024 election ─ far too late ─ was it realized that Joe could no longer compose a sentence unfiltered by his sycophants. That left them running with the uncharismatic “word salad queen,” Kamalamala ─ not a very good candidate for them since Joe did not actually die in office before the election.
So, yes, the Democrats have picked weak candidates of late. It would not be the first time that they lost their own script. We saw a similar imbroglio in 1968 and in 1972, and yet again in 1980.
The GOP ─ Grand Old Party/ “Government Of the People” ─ has been weighed in the balance and found wanting. We should not have any illusions about that.

Ever since Stalin found out about the Jewish doctors’ plot the Jews have had a problem. The 70s was when I was a child. I have a lot of happy memories. Honestly, though, I thought that the 70s sucked at the time. But compared to what we have now, it seems like a golden age. The US was a much whiter, more cohesive country then. We went outside and played. People had better taste (though taste was beginning to really rot in the 70s). We were safer. I never thought I’d say this years ago, but it was a happier time. I like to watch 70s movies and TV shows now so I can briefly feel like I’m living at that time again. I have recently started using X, formally known as Twitter to try and promote the Alliance’s message, after hearing that they are less likely to ban us. Mentioning much of the anti-semitism comes from anti-Israel and Palistinia support is true, but I think this is another passing of the Boomers (my generation). We’re dying out, and with it the 1000 for Jews anything. I guess the weakening of Jews is being confused with the browning of the West. When I was a student, I worked part-time with young Arabs. And they hate Jews with a fanatical intensity. But their hatred is based on different reasons than those for which J-realists dislike Jews. It is more of an animal instinct. And they hate us too. Woke liberals have their principle of intersectionality, and in it, dark-skinned people are always at the top of the totem pole. Confas wasn’t exactly entirely wrong about what he said about Jewish-Goyim intermarriage in his debate with Kevin MacDonald, he was wrong in that it doesn’t refute the present state of Jewish power, but he was right in that it’s happening. The rate of Jewish demographic decline is rapid and there’s a lot of younger half-jews who are somewhat Zionist but not really that fanatical about it. Malta was the “thorn in our side” island between Sicily and Africa that the Germans failed to occupy because of conflicts between the jumped up Field Marshal Erwin Rommel operating in North Africa, and his boss, Luftwaffe Field Marshal Albert Kesselring, in the allocation of sparse theater resources ─ and the refusal of Rommel to adhere to any kind of coherent strategic or logistical planning.
But more relevant to this matter ─ Roosevelt and Churchill met on the Mediterranean island of Malta immediately prior to the February 1945 Yalta Conference in order to get their script straight before meeting with the Soviet dictator at Crimea.
Coordinating their interests to the extent possible, I mean, because ever since the Teheran Conference in November of 1943, Soviet agents were practically playing the Anglophones like marionettes already.

GFM Erwin Rommel was indeed brilliant and bore the Pour le Mérite from fighting the Romanians on the Eastern Front and the Italians at the Alps in World War I ─ but he was not much of a team player and might have been too willing to believe some of the Propaganda Ministry claims about his generalship.
Rommel wrote a good book on his World War I experiences called Infantry Attacks (1937). Like George C. Scott in the 1970 movie Patton, I read that book.
The Battle of Caporetto on the Italian Front in 1917 is hugely important for the development of the German Stormtrooper tactics (aka “Infiltration Tactics“) that were used in the Ludendorff offensive on the Somme in March of 1918 that rolled the Allied lines on the Western Front back about 40 miles in a theater that usually measured its gains in yards. This offensive came close to splitting the French and British armies and potentially winning the war.
Basically, elite Stormtroops or Stoßtruppen hit the enemy lines and advanced deep, finding where resistance was weakest. Then regular infantry and combat engineers followed to reduce the isolated strongpoints so that lines of communication did not get cut off.
In World War II, motorized infantry and armored guns formed motorized and armored shock troops to increase the mobility of German spearheads, but the main deficiency was that the regular infantry and supplies were basically horse-drawn ─ and this problem was particularly acute on the Soviet Front. The Germans also had to use conscript laborers to regauge the Soviet railroad to the European gauge, which they did in record time, but it barely improved the supply lines over the Eastern front.
This was the German “Blitzkrieg” (Lightning War) strategy (as the Allied newspapers called it) in a nutshell, along with directing the Luftwaffe via wireless as a form of flying artillery. Unlike most other armies in World War II, which were focused on strategic terror bombing, the Luftwaffe primarily concentrated on ground-support roles ─ mainly because German industry was already overextended on the number of tanks, aircraft, and ships that could be produced. The Germans never put a suitable strategic bomber into production, whereas the Americans, by contrast developed and mass-produced at least three different kinds of strategic bombers.
The lessons learned at Caporetto by Gen. Oskar von Hutier in 1917 were hugely important in the development of the 1918 war-of-movement tactics intended to defeat the stalemate of trench warfare and later for the new Panzerkorps arm. And Rommel participated in that Caporetto campaign as an Infantry officer.
In World War II, Rommel was unusual in that with this new and innovative branch of the service, he had come from the Infantry and not the Artillery nor the Cavalry. Gen. Heinz Guderian, who basically invented the Panzer Arm, had come from the German Army Signal Corps. At this time Soviet tanks were barely being equipped with radios.
When Rommel was commanding the 7th Armored Division in the invasion of France in 1940, he sucessfully used his 88mm FLAK guns to engage an onslaught of heavy Allied tanks. He did not invent the idea, though; unlike their Allied counterparts, the German 88mm anti-aircraft (FLAK) guns were designed from the outset for a dual role of being able to depress to the horizon and engage enemy Panzers with direct cannon fire (PAK).
Colonel Rommel’s 1937 book was a bestseller and came to Hitler’s attention. In October, 1938 after Hitler had taken a direct role as a German Army commander for the first time after the Blomberg-Fritsch affair, and subsequently wore a Wehrmacht cockade on the service cap of his brown uniform, he requested that Rommel join his personal Führerbegleitbattalion or Führer escort battalion (later armored division), which was a Wehrmacht unit that went with the Commander-in-Chief any time that he travelled on foreign soil in wartime. This also got Rommel noticed by the Propaganda Mininstry and Dr. Goebbels, and such attention propelled his meteoric career, especially with the Afrikakorps when it was doing far better than could be expected.
Rommel was good but he was far too green to be made a Field Marshal. Also, at the end, his passive treason is difficult to ignore.
It is not so much that Rommel was an active participant of the July 1944 General’s Plot, just that he failed to take any actions whatsoever against it as the conspiracy was brewed to a head. Rommel committing suicide allowed his pension and mythology to be kept intact, where a court martial would have discredited him regardless of its outcome.
Some other reasons for the Erwin Rommel mythology include him fighting the British with the war in North Africa being mostly “without hate” as the narrative of the Good Wehrmacht (vs. Bad SS) goes. No Jews or Negroes illegally shot there. And also the British ultimately beat the Desert Fox, so propagandists like Churchill can well afford to give Rommel ample credit as one of the good (and also dead) German foes (who also belately woke up to Hitlerism in the postwar James Mason mythology).
Of course, the Clean Wehrmacht narrative is vigorously fought by historians today ─ the Army Feldgendarmerie or military police being just as anti-Semitic as the SS or any other Ordinary Germans ─ but it was a theme that was quite in vogue when aging World War II veterans of both sides were still more spry than I am now.

Apparently the Leftist “Stolen Land” argument is far less resonant with White Americans than one might suppose, which is the point that I’ve been making for a long time.

Yes, the war in Ukraine is only one of the proxy-conflicts, inspied by China. And it showed, that the power of Jews and Anglo-Saxons is much smaller, than the power of Chinese-Russian-Iranian block.
