Donald Trump, always interesting if not obsessively cogent, says that he will deport perhaps 20 million illegal aliens if again elected. Can he? Legally, of course, Trump is in the right. The illegals are in the country illegally and the law clearly says that they may be deported. Polls show that a great many Americans favor the idea. The question is one of practicality. Can 10 or 20 millions actually be deported, given the realities — political, legal, and social — of today?
Supporters of deportation point to Eisenhower’s Operation Wetback in 1954 in which over a million illegal Mexicans were deported. It was done then, deportistas say, and can be done now. But . . . can it?
This is not 1954. 19% of the country consists of Latinos, who outnumber whites in California; are an absolute majority in Texas; have heavy support from the Democrat party, academia, and the media; and wield economic and electoral power. The great majority of Latinos are citizens. How all of this would play out in the face of mass deportation of illegals isn’t clear, but 1954 it isn’t. For example, would California assist? Or resist?
While any one illegal can be deported, the legal and procedural hindrances seem so great as to make bulk ejection impractical. A manual, apparently written by an immigration attorney, gives detailed instructions to Latinos on how to handle United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at work, at home, in public spaces, and so on. For example, you can request a lawyer, you have the right to remain silent, you specifically do not have to answer questions about your immigration status or country of origin, you can ask whether you are under arrest — and if not, you can walk away. Example from manual:
1. Know your rights during home visits. ICE agents generally need a warrant signed by a judge to enter your home. A warrant is a legal document that specifies the areas to be searched and the individuals or items to be seized. Ask the ICE agent to slide the warrant under the door or hold it up to a window, allowing you to inspect it. Make sure the warrant is signed by a judge and includes your correct address. If the ICE agent does not have a warrant, you have the right to refuse entry to your home. Politely but firmly inform them that you do not consent to the search.
According to the ICE website, its agents need “probable cause” to make an arrest. This means approximately “information that would cause a reasonable person to believe that a specific person was committing a specific crime.” It is unlikely that the courts will regard simply being Hispanic or speaking Spanish or both as probable cause. This seems to have been established by the Ninth Circuit in Galarza. If we accept that 81 percent of Latinos in America are citizens, then arrests of Latinos based only on ethnicity would be wrong four times out of five. As cause goes, this isn’t too probable.

Mr. Trump has spoken of using the military to carry out sweeps to round up illegals. The US Army is 17% Latino. Mr. Trump may be unaware of posse comitatus, which forbids the use of the military as police forces in America. The National Guard, when federalized, comes under posse comitatus. While there is some fuzz and there are murky exceptions in the act, the wording is pretty clear. How this could be finessed I don’t know, but it sounds like a matter for the Supreme Court and, I think for what that’s worth, a sure loss.
But one thing I promise: The military won’t like it. At all. The armed forces have a long and wholesome tradition of staying out of domestic politics. The US, note, has had exactly zero military coups. Using troops against an ethnic group providing many of its recruits will not set well in the Five-Sided Wind Tunnel. The soldiers will agitate, hard, against it.
But I think Mr. Trump poses another and greater threat: Right now there is a disastrous rift between black and white with intense but repressed anger of whites against blacks and intense but unrepressed anger of blacks against whites.
Latinos are quiescent. They seem preoccupied with making money while keeping their heads down. They are assimilating. Turning them into another hostile and alienated group would be a catastrophe almost beyond imagining.
Legal Latinos do not favor open borders and, if not provoked, will remain peaceful and integrate themselves into the country. What will be their response on daily seeing soldiers or police hunting down their co-ethnics? I don’t know. But if, hypothetically, Latino police came through white neighborhoods to grab, say, white high-school dope-smokers, I know what the white reaction would be.
If Latino barrios decided to resist, they could. They could blow SOS on a car horn when a deportation van was spotted, whereupon illegals would shelter in apartments belonging to legals, demanding to know where your warrant is, and such. It would turn deportation into a fruitless, grueling, endless low-level social war with hatred growing on each side. The media would be wildly in favor of the hiders, and Mr. Trump’s people wildly against. The country would never recover. This apparently does not concern Mr. Trump.
Nor does it concern the more zealous of the deportistas. In their writings they seem to imagine hordes of law-enforcement people swooping in and scooping up dozens, or hundreds, even thousands of illegals. Unfortunately they would also sweep up Latinos who are American citizens, a category whose existence the deportistas do not fully seem to recognize. This would result in a huge wave of suits for false arrest that would go quickly to the Supremes, who inevitably would rule that citizens are citizens, period.
Bluster or promise? Mr. Trump has a history of often doing what he says he will do, or at least trying. For example, he did indeed impose tariffs on Chinese imports, and made a Herculean attempt to build The Wall. We shall, perhaps, see.

While mass deportation would be a Herculean task, this article seems defeatist. Is the solution just to acquiesce to the Great Replacement? I also don’t think Latinos are assimilating as much as the author suggests. Walk through any Little Mexico neighborhood in any medium to large city and see how well they’re integrating.
If Trump’s Muslim ban was any indication, there would be massive resistance on the part of the White population who have assimilated the suicidal notion that their only claim to moral standing is to help the savages who are invading the country.
That would not be a bad thing, in that it would further polarize and divide Whites and be another step toward drives for secession and partition.
Fred Reed’s argument seems to be ‘Don’t make the brown people angry’. We can see how well that worked with negros and jews.
Fred Reed seems to think a ‘country’ where a significant minority of Whites – the pro-White Whites who make up the ‘White Identitarian Nationalist’ camp – can never get what they want is worth protecting.
I say that a country that can coddle non-Whites and suppress pro-Whites isn’t a country worth protecting.
Latinos are not an absolute majority in Texas. They’re a plurality.

Additionally, if Latinos are against open borders, they should have no problem with ICE rounding up and deporting illegal immigrants en masse, assuming ICE doesn’t round up citizens as well.
I don’t think dramatic mass deportations are even required. Increase ICE activity, cut off illegals from services and welfare, punish those who aid and abet them, provide them with a one way ticket back home, and enough of them will take it.
‘Latinos’ and most ‘Hispanics’ represent one more racially and culturally alien group in the USA. The author thinks mass ‘deportation’ is impractical. I say keeping people around whose primary identification is not ‘White’ has already proven itself impractical. And the author’s argument is a primary example of the adverse effects of their presence in the USA.
While a person cannot decide to be ‘White’ and thereby become so, a person who decides not to be ‘White’ cannot be White. And many, many ‘Hispanics’ have voluntarily moved themselves away from ‘White’.
If ‘pro-White’ policies do not include emphasizing ‘White’ as the significant ‘American’ identity, then we either don’t need those kinds of ‘pro-White policies’ or we don’t need the ‘American’ identity.
Maybe there’s a third option, but I don’t see it.
Whites have been forced into an absolute struggle for existential survival.
Deporting ‘Hispanics’ or ‘Latinos’ (or creating the conditions for self-deportation) is preferable to allowing those who do not identify as ‘White’ or even with ‘White’ in the White homeland.
The author worries that people who don’t identify with ‘White’ will identify even less with ‘White’.
I don’t see how that’s a problem.
Sometimes ‘politically practical’ is just a cover for a policy of appeasement or, worse, covert betrayal.
The status quo is anti-White. Every single part of the status quo needs to be dismantled until the status quo ceases to be anti-White.
And that includes the current demographic arrangements which almost a century of continuous invasion has created.
It is a monumental task. An alien invasion will lead to even more monumental problems down the road. Do you want to deal with a monumental but still very tenable problem now or with a litany of even worse tasks down the road?
These aliens are not only invading our country, they are being given support and approval from an alien ruling elite. They are being told, “The historic nation is evil and terrible; feel free to hate and dispossess them. You are welcome and we claim you built this nation.” How is that going to work out for the white population dispossessed of political power and facing ever more hostile tribal groups. This includes hostile tribal “Latheenosss” as well as vicious criminal gangs embedded in our cities, town and countrysides and law enforcement agencies and judiciary that would never be here were it not for illegal immigration.
We must have the will to enforce Our will, enforce Our sovereignty and enforce Our claim to Our lands even if it means enforcing Our will on a corrupt and treasonous judicial system. I say, if they hide at a citizen’s house, the citizen is liable for harboring known felons and be tried for treason. That will make that problem very easy to deal with.
The biggest problem is does Trump have the will to impose his will and will he appoint the men who have no qualms about imposing their will.

This didn’t stop the National Guard, which was almost totally white, from enforcing integration at bayonet-point. While this situation is different, the Armed Forces have repeatedly been used against American citizens with relative impunity. The first examples of this go all the way back to Shay’s rebellion when the country was in its infancy.
I also find it funny that you assume the average soldier, sailor, Marine or Airman gives half a fuck about what they’re doing for a paycheck. Would Latino recruits be reticent to deport their coethnics? Probably. Would it be a big enough backlash to prevent effective military participation in a hypothetical mass deportation? Nah, not even close. The Texas National Guard is heavily Latino, Mexican specifically, and they still readily enforce border policy.
Easiest way is make it a felony to employee illegals with a ten year mandatory minimum sentence for business owners or board of directors. No federal aid to states providing welfare or drivers licences to illegals. Free flights and $5000 to those who voluntarily self deport. Simple, low cost and humane.
This is what needs to be done. It’s difficult to make a living in this expensive country. Take away the freebies, enforce the law against hiring illegals and prevent the ability to remit cash to the home country and the problem disapears with self-deporting.

Well said. You can do workplace enforcement and make it very costly and burdensome to employ them. Also coming down on false tax returns. When more than one return is filed under the same SSN there’s obvious fraud. Also, cut off the flow of money back to Mexico and other countries.
Also the Sanctuary City thing is a big deal. They have to be defunded. Cities are hell holes and if they’re defunded, they will collapse. Chaos.
Look up load trail manufacturing. They make trailers in NE Texas. It’s owned by dual citizen foreigners. They were raided by ICE because they were actively recruiting in Mexico and helping their new hires get to their plant. A $5M fine later, the owners are still living in luxury flying around in their private jets. Their solution was to open up a plant in Mexico to build cheap then import the trailers back up here.
If it was up to me, all their assets would have been seized except for a briefcase with a change of clothes and enough money for an economy seat flight back to their ranches in Mexico. All the legal workers paid a year salary out of the former owners’ bank accounts and then auction the whole place off.
Again, these are foreign nationals with dual US citizenship allowed to do this.

Hey! White guys! We’ve effectively been replaced already—for over a century now. In one fell swoop our representation in the electorate (where it counts) fell from about ninety per cent white guys versus ten per cent black guys to about forty-five percent white guys versus forty-five per cent white gals and ten percent blacks (both sexes). I won’t attempt to break down the present multicultural statistics, but in a word, it’s gotten much worse.
The subject of the article is whether the invaders that Joe Biden let in can be exiled by Donald Trump. In theory, they could be denied employment or government benefits, in which case most of them would probably just go, without the intervention of military or police. But that would take cooperation from congress mainly, and to a lesser extent the courts, both of which are controlled by the coalition of white women, all blacks, and all non-westerners. Arguing with the womenfolk is just going to make them bitchy (or bitchier as the case might be). On the bright side, I find most Latinos, Chinese, and East Indians easier to get along with than blacks, and they are much less likely to go on violent rampages.

Maybe Fred is a Mormon. Remember in the 2012 election when we learned all about Mitt’s close relatives who live in Mexican colonies/compounds? Mormons are more comfortable around mestizos and Indians than Americans. And I wouldn’t even blame Mormons to have no fond feelings for heritage Americans, considering their history in the US. In the NYC metro area for decades Mormon missionaries would go only to mestizo neighbs, because mestizos were more religious than whites and politer than blacks. I enjoy Mr. Reed’s contributions but don’t agree with them across the board. I don’t care for Mr. Trump but in rare moment he spoke efficiently with “They’re not sending their best”. In one of Fred’s other pieces he sings about all the middle/upper class niceties of Mexico. They’re not the ones slipping through and undercutting (gasp) the black working class. But it’s not a big stretch to imagine the next generation tooting a Brown Lives Matter campaign, ‘not your mamacita, not your housekeeper’… They demand entry to the Ivy League, Senate and Spanish language SAT/ACT and the Senate… all those drunk driving deaths… due to the stress of white systemic racism.

Living just outside Granby Missouri the nearby town of Monett — we call Mexinett — has through its Tyson’s Food plant brought in a bunch of beaners to pull chicken guts and cut up chickens for what is the only source of income. Back in the 1950s Don Tyson and other poultry processers hired hillbilly women to pull chicken guts and cut up chicken but by the 1980s illegal beaners were hired. By the 1990s the municipal korts had “beaner Tuesdays” to deal with the beaner habit of driving drunk and without insurance and molesting young beaner girls. They would wimply work with Tyson’s Foods to make sure than Tyson’s paid the kash-register kort fees.
Since chicken fat plugs up city water systems every city with a Tysons Plant owns a city council-critter to make sure that the hillbilly population pays for pubic skrewls, water and sewer works so that Tysons doesn’t have to. Pure Trumpian bluster. There is zero political will among the majority of our politicians for any deportations, whatsoever. Trump would meet with massive resistance from all levels if he attempted mass deportations. “Blue” city and state official would be especially defiant. With the inevitable drummed-up media sob stories of sad brown people, bleeding heart White Americans would probably even act as human shields to physically prevent the removal of our Replacements. I recall a news item from the U.K., where a flight crew refused to take-off when one of the passengers, an illegal alien criminal rapist, was to be legally deported.
I’m kind of surprised that Trump hasn’t asked Schwarzengger to be his running mate.
