Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health
New York: Skyhorse Publishing, 2021
I know I speak for many of my readers when I say that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is my favorite Democrat. He might actually be the only sane Democrat left. Since declaring his underdog run for his party’s nomination, he has appeared on just about every podcast I can think of — and, so far as I know, none of the legacy media channels. The establishment is determined to alternately ignore him and smear him. That impresses me. But what impresses me much more is RFK, Jr.’s evident integrity, his sincerity, his intellect, and his skill as a debater. There is an enormous ideological gulf separating us — for one thing, he is a racial egalitarian — but I have to admire the man nonetheless.
So, I set out to learn more about RFK (I’ll drop the “Jr.” now, as I’m too lazy to keep typing it), and what better way to begin than with his bestselling and most controversial book, The Real Anthony Fauci? This volume has now sold more than a million copies since its publication in November of 2021. On Amazon it has racked up more than 24,000 reviews — mostly with four and five stars; the one-star reviews are hilariously retarded. It has also made the bestseller lists of The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly. To date, however, I cannot find a single review of the book in a major newspaper. Bookstores also seem to be boycotting it, and hit pieces on RFK have been published by Town & Country, The New York Post, Vanity Fair, the Associated Press, and others.
A word of caution about bestseller lists: You might think that The New York Times, for instance, ranks books in terms of how many copies they sell, with most copies being sold online. Wrong. A book’s ranking on the Times list is based on the paper’s “proprietary algorithm,” which depends in part upon how many copies of a book have been sold by Barnes and Noble as well as independent bookstores. Yes, at The New York Times it’s apparently still the 1980s. The key to suppressing a book’s ranking, therefore, is for the bookstores not to carry it, or to carry only a minimal number of copies.
To take one example of how the fix is in, the week RFK’s book was ranked #7 by the Times, it sold more than 92,000 hardcover copies (chiefly through Amazon). However, none of the first six books on the list sold more copies than The Real Anthony Fauci; in fact, RFK’s book sold about twice as many copies as each of those that outranked it. The #1 slot was occupied by The 1619 Project, a book which was actually published by The New York Times itself (!) and which sold thousands fewer copies than The Real Anthony Fauci.
When I learned all this, it didn’t surprise me. I was well aware of how corrupt the corporate media is and how nothing in it can be believed. Like you, I thought I had the establishment sussed. At least, that was until I read The Real Anthony Fauci. At the very end of the book, after I had waded through more than 400 pages, RFK writes, “What I have described in the preceding chapters can seem overwhelming and dispiriting.” Boy, is that an understatement! It would be no exaggeration to say that The Real Anthony Fauci has completely destroyed what little trust I had left in the medical and pharmaceutical establishment. But the book has broader implications. Once again, I found myself in a situation quite familiar to my readers: the disturbing realization that our world seems to be ruled entirely by equal parts sociopaths and reckless, incompetent fools.
I’m not going to attempt to summarize the entire contents of The Real Anthony Fauci. Instead, I am going to take the reader on a kind of Cook’s tour, briefly highlighting some of the most shocking and egregious examples of corruption detailed by RFK. It would be impossible to cover everything. Since the book presents itself as a professional biography of Fauci, it not only covers the COVID debacle — the follies of the lockdowns, the censorship of dissent, the suppression of drugs like Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, the vaccine fraud, and the possibility that Fauci may have funded the creation of COVID in the Wuhan lab — it also goes into great detail concerning Fauci’s equally problematic role in the AIDS epidemic. In certain ways, Fauci’s record with COVID eerily mirrors his earlier incompetence and malfeasance with respect to AIDS. And yet, this only scratches the surface; there is so much more to this book (arguably, too much — a point to which I’ll return in Part Two).
Let’s begin with a little history. In the early 1900s, infections caused about a third of all deaths in the United States each year. Between 800 and 1,000 of every 100,000 Americans died of infectious diseases. By the 1970s, however, fewer than 50 Americans per 100,000 were dying of infections — something that was achieved not by vaccinations but largely through improved diet, hygiene, and sanitation. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC; founded in 1946) and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID; founded in 1955) came under intense pressure to justify their huge annual budgets. The response of the agency directors was exactly what you would expect of selfless public servants: they longed for the coming of a deadly new pandemic that would justify their existence, as well as their very generous salaries.
Their prayers seemed to be answered in 1976 by the swine flu. In January of that year, a soldier at Fort Dix, New Jersey died of a lung infection. A sample was sent to the CDC, which identified the culprit as a swine flu. At the time, Fauci was head of the Clinical Physiology Section of NIAID’s Laboratory of Clinical Investigation (he would be appointed head of NIAID in 1984) and played little role in the events I will now describe — though they seemed to make an indelible impression on him. Fauci’s boss told President Ford and the news media that the Fort Dix swine flu was the same strain responsible for the 1918 Spanish flu epidemic. This was a lie, and the scientists at the CDC and NIAID knew it. They also knew that there was no real evidence that the virus, also called H1N1, had killed the soldier — because, in fact, while it was highly dangerous to swine, there was no reason to believe that H1N1 posed a threat to humans. Nevertheless, “experts” projected that the swine flu would likely cause a million human deaths in the United States alone.
Predictably, the result was mass hysteria. I remember this well. I was a child at the time but old enough to follow the news and sense the fear in my parents and other adults. The solution proposed by the CDC and NIAID was to work with Big Pharma to quickly develop a vaccine against the new plague, and market it to the public. In exchange for a speedy rollout, Ford indemnified Big Pharma against lawsuits and signed a bill appropriating $135 million to help pay their expenses. The result, so the conspirators hoped, would be massive profits for Big Pharma, and a thunderous justification of the CDC and NIAID — an argument for why they were, if anything, underfunded.
But things did not go as planned. By the end of 1976, that soldier at Fort Dix was the one lone casualty of swine flu in the entire world. By contrast, 32 Americans died of complications related to the vaccine. And the dead may have been the lucky ones. The vaccine caused around 500 cases of Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a degenerative nerve disease. More than 400 people were paralyzed by the vaccine, and there were around 4,000 other injuries. My mother took the jab and had a serious adverse reaction to it, though she recovered and seemed to suffer no long-term damage. The vaccine was such a disaster that in the end the government pulled it, but not before jabbing 49 million Americans. While Big Pharma got off scot-free and was able to keep its lucre, the government wound up paying out more than $83 million to those injured by the vaccine.
Prior to the recall, one lone, courageous scientist tried to blow the whistle on the whole scam. He was Dr. John Anthony Morris, the government’s chief vaccine officer, who had worked for federal public health agencies since 1940. When Morris objected to his superiors that the swine flu was not contagious to humans, and that the vaccine was far more dangerous, he was told to shut up. When Morris disobeyed and went public with his views, Health and Human Services changed the locks on his lab, confiscated his research materials, reassigned his staff, and forbade him to see visitors. Eventually he was fired. A year later, Morris won a wrongful dismissal suit, and was fully vindicated by a government grievance committee.
This is a pattern that we will see repeated again and again. Scientists who questioned the HIV-AIDS hypothesis, as well as scientists who questioned the COVID lockdowns and vaccines, were also pilloried, censored, and driven out. Such are the ways of what RFK refers to as “the medical-industrial complex.” Indeed, the entire swine flu scam was in many ways a template for what was to come: massive scare tactics by government “experts” who were actively lying all the while; the insistence that the development of a risky vaccine was the only answer to the crisis; the indemnification of Big Pharma against lawsuits; the rollout of a vaccine that did more harm than good and whose deleterious effects were initially concealed; and the suppression of all dissent.

Let us now, in fact, flash forward to COVID-19, which is probably what my readers are most interested in, anyway. Between the swine flu and COVID, the medical-industrial complex repeatedly tried their best to gin up more pandemic hysteria. A typical example was “bird flu.” In 2005 scientists predicted that up to 150 million people would be killed by bird flu. In fact, 282 people died worldwide. There were numerous such cases of much ballyhooed pandemics which ended with a whimper, and RFK discusses quite a few of them. The most significant of these was HIV — but we will return to that in Part Two, and discuss it in a fair amount of detail.
After all those years of crying wolf, it’s surprising that anyone listened to these so-called experts when they projected that there would be up to 2.2 million COVID deaths in the US alone. But the public — especially the American public — has a rather short memory. With COVID, the medical-industrial complex really hit the jackpot; it was the pandemic they’d been dreaming of for decades. But they had not spent all those lean years just sitting around. No, the experts had been busy “war gaming” possible pandemic scenarios. These simulations focused on how to use police powers to detain and isolate citizens; how to propagandize the public with the government’s “official” line on the pandemic; how to use censorship to shut down dissent; how to enact lockdowns and mask mandates; and how to coerce the population into taking vaccines. In short, by the time COVID-19 showed up in early 2020, the script had long been written; it had just been stuck in development hell.
Since my readers are typically well informed, there is no reason for me to rehearse the whole sordid tale of COVID here. But rehearse it we should — now and then, at least. The whole episode had a major impact on me. I was living in New York at the time, and so at the epicenter of COVID hysteria. The fear, the foolishness, the authoritarianism, and the dishonesty left their mark: never had I felt so disgusted by my fellow man. I swore at the time that I would never forget — that we should never forget this. So, by all means, read RFK’s excellent and detailed account of the pandemic.
Let us focus here on just one thing: the rollout of the COVID vaccines. Fauci allocated hundreds of billions of dollars to develop risky, novel technology vaccines. At the same time, he spent virtually nothing on developing repurposed medications that doctors had already used to treat COVID patients, with a high rate of success. Indeed, there was not even a consultation process with physicians who were on the front lines treating COVID. Why?
The answer has to do with what RFK claims is Fauci’s “historic role” in the corporate takeover of US public health agencies by Big Pharma. Amusingly, RFK asks us to consider what the Environmental Protection Agency would look like if it were run by the coal industry. Indeed, the relationship between the health agencies and pharma is now such a tangled web of corruption it beggars belief. The personnel of those agencies include numerous one-time pharma executives, many of whom still have a financial stake in their former employers. Pharma is allowed to design and fund their own studies of their own drugs, and these are accepted as valid by regulatory agencies. No one in government, apparently, finds this problematic. Even the government’s research scientists have their fingers in pharma’s till.
Numerous National Institutes of Health (NIH) scientists are involved in testing products for which they secretly receive royalties. The CDC owns 57 vaccine patents — and it is therefore no coincidence that it spends $4.9 billion of its $12 billion annual budget purchasing and disseminating vaccines. Fauci and others receive royalty payments of up to $150,000 on products they helped develop. The 1980 Bayh-Dole Act permitted NIAID and Dr. Fauci personally to file patents on hundreds of drugs his agency scientists were developing, and then to license those drugs to pharmaceutical companies in exchange for royalties. More than 900 current and former NIH scientists receive royalty payments for drugs they developed while working for the US government.
Virtually from the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Fauci and his minions were arguing that the only hope was the development of vaccines. The reader may recall the controversies over the drugs Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin. Both had been developed long before COVID, for other uses, both were considered safe, and doctors found that both were effective in combatting COVID infection. But Fauci and crew went on the warpath against the two drugs, and even created fraudulent studies to discredit them. In one study of Hydroxychloroquine, instead of giving subjects the dosage recommended by physicians, they were given a near lethal dose. As a result, the subjects in the study became seriously ill and 39% of them died. The medical-industrial complex’s predictable conclusion was that Hydroxychloroquine was dangerous! This was despite the fact that the drug, which had been in use in the US since 1955 to prevent and treat malaria, had never been reported as dangerous when administered at the proper dosage.
Suddenly, Hydroxychloroquine became unavailable. Doctors who didn’t buy Fauci’s flimflam and wanted to use the drug to treat their COVID patients found that pharmacies would no longer fill prescriptions for Hydroxychloroquine. Eventually, physicians were threatened with the loss of their licenses if they administered the drug to COVID patients. In the midst of the pandemic, when Hydroxychloroquine could have saved thousands of lives in France, the French government recategorized it from an over-the-counter drug to a prescription drug and designated it as a poisonous substance. In Zambia, organized gangs of buyers emptied drugstore shelves of Hydroxychloroquine and then burned the drug in bonfires. In 2021, the US government ordered the destruction of more than 1,000 pounds of Hydroxychloroquine, claiming that it had been “improperly imported.”
RFK writes, “In the midst of a deadly pandemic, somebody very powerful wanted a medication that had been available over the counter for decades, and known to be effective against coronaviruses, to be suddenly but silently pulled from the shelves — from Canada to Zambia.” Again, why? The reason is quite simple. Federal law mandates that new vaccines and medicines cannot be authorized for “emergency use” if any existing Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drug is shown to be effective against the disease. In order to fast-track the vaccine — and to convince the government to indemnify Big Pharma against lawsuits, just as it did in the 1976 swine flu debacle — all other treatments for COVID therefore had to be discredited.
Again, just as in the case of swine flu, in order to ensure maximal profits for Big Pharma and their partners in the government health agencies, the public needed to be maximally terrified. Thus, at the outset of the pandemic Fauci used insanely inaccurate modeling that overestimated US deaths by 525%. Fauci also agreed to CDC protocol changes for completing death certificates in a way that inflated the claimed deaths from COVID. With the help of corporate news media (“Sponsored by Pfizer”), the risk of COVID to the healthy was wildly exaggerated — so much so that one Gallup poll showed that the average Democrat believed that 50% of COVID infections resulted in hospitalizations. The real number was less than 1%.
The CDC admitted late in the game that only 6% of COVID deaths occurred in completely healthy individuals. The remaining 94% had an average of 3.8 potentially fatal comorbidities. Yet everyone had to isolate and lock down, not just those who were really at risk, and everyone had to get the vaccine. Approximately 78% of Americans hospitalized for COVID-19 were overweight or obese. Yet, there was never any talk from Fauci and his cohorts about lifestyle changes that could have made the more vulnerable less vulnerable. Only the jab was presented as the answer to COVID.
As everyone presumably knows by now, the vaccines proved about as effective as the surgical masks we were all expected to wear. Regional analysis in the US showed that mask mandates had no effect on case rates, despite 93% compliance. And about 85% of people who got COVID reported wearing a mask. Similarly, we were told that the vaccines would prevent transmission. They did not. When this became undeniable, the conspirators switched gears and told us that while the vaccines wouldn’t stop transmission, they made COVID symptoms less severe and thus saved lives. But there appears to be precious little evidence for that claim as well. As the pandemic began to wane, the vast majority of those seriously ill and hospitalized with COVID were fully vaccinated. As with just about everything else, the establishment’s claim of a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” was a lie.
And then, of course, there were the inherent dangers of the vaccines themselves — something that we are really only just beginning to learn about. Yet even as the deaths and injuries began to mount up, Fauci kept pushing the vaccines. He supported COVID vaccines for previously infected Americans in spite of overwhelming scientific evidence that post-COVID jabs were both not necessary and potentially dangerous. He even began promoting the idea of vaccinating children — even infants (!) — though 0% of individuals under the age of 18 had died of the virus.
Fauci also acquiesced in the CDC’s decision to forgo autopsies from deaths attributed to vaccines. This allowed the CDC to claim that all deaths which followed vaccination were unrelated to vaccination. One famous vaccine casualty was baseball great Hank Aaron. When it was reported that Aaron had died after being vaccinated, the media lied and claimed that an Atlanta coroner had performed an autopsy and ruled the death unrelated to the vaccine. RFK actually called the coroner’s office to get more information and was told that in fact no autopsy had been performed. The reader may also be interested to know that as recently as this past June, the CDC quietly stopped collecting “adverse event” reports from vaccine recipients and physicians, giving no explanation whatever for this decision.
Some of my readers may already be familiar with much of the information discussed above. In the next and final part of this review, however, I will be discussing material that may be much less familiar. We will cover the history of Fauci’s handling of the AIDS epidemic. We will discover that almost everything we have been told about that disease, and its connection to the HIV virus, is false. We will discuss the remarkable history of the AIDS drug AZT, a “medicine” that had the minor side effect of producing all the symptoms of AIDS. We will discuss Fauci’s persecution of those who dissented from the HIV-AIDS hypothesis, including the crucifixion of molecular biologist Peter Duesberg. And we will discuss how Fauci tested AIDS drugs on unwilling orphans and foster children, burying the dead in a mass grave in Hawthorne, New York. No, I am not making this up. The lid was lifted off this particular atrocity way back in 2004, by an intrepid BBC journalist.
And there is more. If you can handle the truth, stay tuned.

Great review! I’m looking forward to part two. And like yourself I find RFK’s biggest flaw is his racial egalitarianism. His speech impediment doesn’t help much either.
That’s not his only biggest flaw. He’s also a climate change cultist.
He is also a Zionist who fully supports Israel and Chabad. Not a very nice man.
Let us never forget what Fauci and his globalist accomplices did to the world.
American scientists are hooked on the drug called NIH/NSF grant money. Clean out the Swap will mean these scientists will have to go through a painful withdrawal process.
The other alternative for money to fund scientists is of course Big Pharma. How does one clean out that stable?
What is it that you are suggesting? Go Fund Me studies. A good sized clinical trial takes years and millions of dollars. 10-50 k from Go Fund Me won’t even pay for 1 college graduate. NIH/NSF does not have the budget to do all the clinical trials, so they farm that out of Pharma who has incentive to pay for it. To try and avoid outright fraud the FDA does some policing and oversight, but is imperfect at best. If there was no FDA there would probably be 100% fraud and every drug tested would ‘work’.
If you want to end all this fine, but then you’ll sucking the teat of China in no time…. hey, they have your back, correct? Or you’ll be digging up roots for drugs. Make sure you don’t mistake wild carrot for Hemlock.
So your solution is? So thing are peachy keen as is?
There is no easy solution. Go to the UK or Canada and deal with their health systems? Pass. More money to NIH for unbiased trials that Pharma won’t do? Not a bad idea given how small a percentage of the budget that is. Clean living, active lifestyle, healthy habits, etc count for much in life and will stave off the trip to Hades for many.
The problem with RFK Jnr’s theory about zidovudine(AZT) causing Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is that the syndrome of unusual infections and cancers was already being identified in the late 1970s and had long been epidemic in sodomized men and and intravenous drug-users by the time the drug was patented in 1985. Certainly zidovudine was associated with significant unwanted toxic effects but it was also effective at increasing the level of CD4 lymphocytes , the lack of which is the defining laboratory marker of AIDS. Since the advent of highly effective combination anti-viral therapy AIDS has virtually disappeared in the first world. HIV levels in the blood can be reduced to effectively zero with this treatment.
I haven’t read his book (not in my local library!) but for me the credibility of the whole work is affected by this story about HIV. Unfortunately when one delves into conspiracies like this it is difficult to sort fact from fiction and hit the mark reliably every time. It would be a shame if RFK’s apparently solid information about the recent co-ordinated global infringement of freedoms were to be tainted by this more far-fetched allegations from the 1980s.
No one claims that AZT was the sole cause of AIDS, and certainly not RFK. Instead, the theory is that AIDS was caused in gay men by massive abuse of illicit drugs, alcohol, and antibiotics. These were the first cases. After that, AZT started to be given to those men (which killed them fast) but also to perfectly healthy people who had tested positive for HIV. In those people, AZT produced the exact same symptoms as AIDS and eventually killed most of them. The anti-retroviral drugs you mention are largely worthless and it has never been proved that they stave off AIDS or extend the lives of AIDS patients. The weight of the evidence is that HIV is not the cause of AIDS. I discuss all this at length in Part 2, so stay tuned.
I shall but even this refinement violates Occam’s razor. How could a completely novel and bizarre syndrome of a myriad of previously rare diseases be due to lifestyle factors and also the drug developed to fairly successfully suppress the putative etiological viral agent? The final common pathway of AIDS is a falling CD4 T-lymphocyte count which count tended to rise with AZT therapy. The drug is an inhibitor of RNA synthesis so it had marked toxic effects which were accepted as an alternative to the death sentence of AIDS. Or that’s what I’ve always understood……..
You really should read the book. I can’t argue the medical science but he cites many of the most prominent virologists (including the co-discoverer of HIV) who have laid some heavy dissent on the HIV causes AIDS theory. There are a lot of things that don’t add up, and Faucis reaction to even mild dissent rings major alarm bells.
That doesn’t prove that AIDS is a hoax. It just means AZT was a shitty drug. That’s why it’s not used anymore.
I haven’t read RFK’s book but I read everything put out by Unz at the time when he was pushing this stuff, including Duesburg’s book. I also did quite a bit of other reading then as the topic began to interest me. Although I can’t remember all the details now, I did not find the weight of evidence in that direction.
This claim that AIDS was caused by degeneracy/poppers/AZT in the West and by malnutrition and jenkum in Africa is one of those things that’s interesting, maybe seems potentially even plausible at first glance but becomes extremely unconvincing when you dig down a bit more, and it hasn’t been updated with anything new for 25 years.
This is one of those claims that latches onto one early snapshot in history where some scientists at the time had different opinions with the data and understanding they had in that era, ignoring everything afterwards.
Under this model, HIV/AIDS medicine is actually one giant stupid hoax that every doctor is being duped or coerced into. That’s quite of a belief. Even some of the ancillary figures who helped fuel this idea at the time no longer believe it, but they forgot to pass the memo on to RFK and Unz.
And although I have a warm view towards RFK in general and quite a lot of things he says, it’s interesting he waited until covid to bring us this devastating news about Fauci creating this huge extra hoax of HIV.
Mr Costello sounds like another person lost to insanity to me.
And this sort of insanity came out of covid and it spread like a disease like covid into our people.
Speaking of covid, I did see that Robert Malone no longer believes HIV causes AIDS, and Michael Yeadon no longer believes viruses cause disease at all.
What this proves is that people who have gone out on a limb in some way can be nudged into outright fantasy by the right stimuli.
Either that or the conspiratards were right and everything is an ‘op’.
Yeah Costelo, RFK, Malone, Montagner (who discovered HIV), Unz, Kerry Mullins (inventor of PCR test) and many others are all idiots who’ve been duped into a hoax and you are the voice of reason, eh?
Given that you’re a CC reader I must assume that you don’t accept the establishment narrative on race, correct? What gave you the balls or discernment to question the narrative on race but not on anything else? Is it really that outlandish for you to believe that our authorities are corrupted and that it is possible to get the masses to believe something that just isn’t true?
For example: I would hazard a guess that a majority of Americans believe that blacks are worse off relative to other groups b/c of racism, Jim Crow, ‘systemic injustice’, etc etc. But as we all know (right?) at CC, that just ain’t so, regardless of how many people believe it. They are at the bottom to the racial hierarchy b/c they are of lower intelligence, higher impulsivity, and high testosterone. Intelligence being the primary factor. For me to have learned all that, tho, I had to first competent distrust my own government, News and entertainment media, and academia! B/c none of them are speaking the truth. Sadly, you can get a majority of people to believe something that isn’t true if you own virtually all of the media and infiltrate all of academia, but let me guess that’s another kooky conspiracy theory too, right? For someone to even learn about race and IQ in todays media landscape they would have to be pretty damn intrepid, b/c it’s not simply a matter of ‘googling it’ and you’ll find it. All that research has been buried and censored, in just a short amount of time. Same goes for many other things, from history to science. Why do I have to explain this to a rightist dissident? Are you a subversive?
Your contention that other theories were latched into early on but have been disproven and the science simply won out to favor the HIV>AIDS narrative is foolish nonsense. The other theories weren’t explored b/c Fauci et al shut them down with an iron fist and blacklisted anyone who dissented from his scheme—— quite similar to how they blacklist anyone who talks about race and IQ or how diversity isn’t a strength, or anyone who questioned the Covid narrative that the vaccine was ‘safe and effective’ for example.
You are completely wrong about more doctors and scientists (the few who know much about it) coalescing around the established narrative on HIV over time, it’s actually quite the opposite. There are now enough holes in that narrative that the momentum is going against it. Those who dig further into it usually end up being very skeptical of what we’ve been told on it (those that have the balls to admit as much). Btw, most doctors (like most ppl) aren’t all that smart and are conformists. Most doctors don’t know much about HIV b/c it effects so few people and doesn’t typically lead to disease.
Hate to burst your bubble, but I really dislike arrogance. When you call Costelo— a brilliant man— crazy and stupid, one must wonder of your intentions or your character.
Well sorry you read it that way. Wasn’t my intention.
I have questioned it. I cautiously gave the theory a chance at the time, and found it unconvincing.
Science is far from perfect, it has its limits, it can be misused and abused as we’ve seen, but it’s hard to create one giant sustained hoax everywhere in the world, even upheld by doctors in countries that hate the US, and for someone serious not to notice it eventually. How did Fauci shut them down in China or Iran ? I’m lost.
Blacks being primitive violent apes is science. It’s just taboo to talk about it like that.
Honestly, it’s always seemed to me something like a platitude about HIV not causing AIDS, especially when AIDS was big news- that the stigma and burden or inconvenience of HIV was more of an imposition than the disease itself. I honestly felt some people thought if we can just deconstruct the disease then it will go away.
HIV is something people can’t directly interact with. And things that can’t be directly interacted with are highly prone to exotic conspiracy theories: HIV, covid, moon landings, 5G, nukes (don’t exist), viruses (don’t exist/cause disease), spherical earth (it’s flat) and so on.
Instead they believe these ideas are hoaxes or weapons created by ‘them’ to oppress us, harm us or scare us into certain behaviors..
There is a very healthy dimension to this. We should be suspicious of power. Power should be able to justify what it’s doing, and actually with the covid debacle around the vaccines, it couldn’t adequately articulate itself. It went crazy and started using heavy tactics and rightly a lot people didn’t like that, myself included.
My question is who is empowered by HIV being a hoax ? How does it help you or anyone ? Or white people ? To punish Fauci? I’m quite prepared to accept this guy has acted like a pos in his career but that doesn’t mean I accept this theory.
“Hoax” is the wrong language. Piltdown Man was a hoax. Tawana Brawley was a hoaxer. Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin, and George Floyd were not innocent victims. Those were hoaxes. Deliberate lies.
A better word for HIV being the cause of AIDS is simply a false belief. Although when false belief systems overlap with political power, moral narratives, and big business, they are often supported after the fact by hoaxers, who are analogous to pious frauds reporting miracles or people claiming to be fake hate crime victims.
Gay men often put us to shame in terms of healthy living (exception, bareback five-somes). But it is hard to believe that ‘poppers’ (apparently still popular) were substantially contributing to AIDS when in 2023 we are wrestling with fentanyl, Krokodil and Xylazine.
A ‘hypothesis’ is rampant speculation. A ‘theory’ should have a good bit of data to it. I’d like to see these quotes from famous virologists… sounds like quotes out of context and limited if any data.
Like most cancer drugs, AZT is toxic and it’s use was a risk benefit calculation… A risky experiment when there was no alternative. But that was 30+ years ago. The weight of the evidence is that anti-retroviral drugs work in petri dishes, work in people and also prevent transmission (better than you can say for COVID vaccines). Here’s a study of over 200,000 HIV positive people. Anti retroviral drugs have led to a near normal lifespan if started early enough, less so if individuals have low CD4 counts at start of treatment.
Great, great book. Well researched, thorough, powerful.
Fauci is a power hungry demon with no morals and mediocre intellect. After reading this book, I am convinced that HIV has very little to do with AIDS, but instead was a theory that made pharma a lot of $ and covered for the *extremely’ degenerate lifestyles that gay men live. AIDS is caused most likely by ‘poppers’ and perhaps other party drugs that gays do, not a harmless retrovirus. What happened to Duesberg and consequently the public fear and panic about HIV is such a travesty. Fauci should most certainly be brought to justice, and all those who aided and abetted him. He caused so much unnecessary suffering and wasted energy. Truly remarkable the parallels between how he completely corrupted both the Covid and HIV/AIDS narratives.
Everyone needs to read this book. Thanks for reviewing it CC.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t add that Ron Unz also did a very thorough review of the book as well. I highly recommend CC readers check that out if you’re debating whether to read it. Lot of people commenting on here who haven’t read it or explored the topics therein in depth. Shouldn’t even be commenting until they’ve read the book.
“Amusingly, RFK asks us to consider what the Environmental Protection Agency would look like if it were run by the coal industry.”
I am not sure why this idea should be considered “amusing.” George W. Bush put the fossil fuel industry in charge of the EPA back in 2000.
It’s okay to think Fauci did a bad job without embracing sketchy ideas. The alternative to Western medicine is Ayurvedic Medicine or digging up Chinese roots.
Someone in Fauci’s position doesn’t have ‘ultimate power’ over Public Health types who will deluge the CDC and NIH officers with alarmist positions. He can’t shut them down without an equal amount of non-alarmist charts and graphs. I see it more as a problem that the field of Public Health skews to leftism, government policy directives and ‘harm reduction’ tactics. “Inconvenient” results get squelched the way most any type of research nowadays does if it suggests some degree of personal responsibility (exception: white men have created structural racism which explains everything everywhere for all time).
Hydroxychloroquine (HQ) might have some mild benefit but there is no conspiracy to remove it altogether. I know people who take it as an immunosuppressant and they were having trouble getting it filled with the frenzy to try anything and hoard shelves of toilet paper, pasta, hand sanitizer and prepper pills. There is no mechanistic understanding of how HQ it should work against COVID, compared to Remdesavir. Ivermectin works for parasitic worms and lice, which have nothing to do with viruses.
The idea that COVID vaccines were supposed to prevent transmission is an oft told misreading of the actual studies. Go to the first Moderna NEJM study… it was designed to show that vaccines reduce the chance of illness (not infection) and severe disease. From the git go the Moderna ‘jab’ only reduced infection by 63%, but severe illness by 98%.
Taking a position that HIV does not cause AIDS might have been contrarian in 1985, but is bonkers in 2023. Peter Deusberg claimed HIV was harmless and AIDS was caused by recreational drugs. Amazing that our recreational drugs are way more deadly 40 years later, but there is less AIDS. The Bradford-Hill criteria are a nice read for those interested in concepts of causality, and how the rational design of HIV drugs (based on understanding the mechanism of infection and viral reproduction) has reduced HIV progression to AIDS. The ‘science’ is reliable in predicting which types of opportunistic infections occur at different levels of CD4 counts. Kaposi’s sarcoma has been continually decreasing with the availability of treatments against HIV.
PREP, Truvada, etc, have been shown to prevent HIV transmission. With their availability people have increasingly abandoned safe sex. So while HIV is decreasing, those drugs don’t prevent Gonorrhea, Syphilis, etc, which are increasing.
Amongst the ranks there is often an idea that if the left believes something, surely the opposite position should be pursued. I don’t think that’s any motto for an enduring ideology. Sometimes the extremes of both the left and right latch onto ideas that are not going to last (structural racism explains everything, vaccines are a hoax, race doesn’t exist, gender doesn’t exist, Fauci and Jews are responsible for everything).
My comment is unpaid, I get no bonus for ‘likes’ or ‘reads’ and no money from Pharma.
Read the book. You may come away with the same view you express here, you may not. The scientist who co-discovered HIV (Montagner) no longer believes it causes AIDS. That should tell you something. It’s not that HIV is not at all involved in the development of AIDS, but rather it’s clear it is not the sole cause —- that was always a theory and was most definetly not proven. Alternative theories made more sense and in hindsight now 40 years later need to be re-examined. HIV is a mostly harmless retrovirus (like all other retroviruses) but perhaps works with other factors to produce AIDS in certain individuals. Your comment that it’s ‘bonkers’ to question how causal HIV is in AIDS is the opposite of reality. More and more scientists are coming out with strong dissents. Duesberg btw was the most revered and respected virologist —- Fauci and gallo pale in comparison. It’s bonkers to accept the established narrative, just like it’s bonkers to accept the established covid narrative. Most people are lazy and it doesn’t effect them so they accept the established narrative, but it’s not some kooky conspiracy that perhaps the authorities didn’t get it right with this and many other things. The alternative to the particular type of western medicine we practice is not Chinese folk medicine or voodoo or something, but better science that doesn’t serve the interests of pharmaceutical companies. Don’t underestimate their power, or fauci et als corruption. RFKs book is extremely well cited, it’s not some Alex jones conspiracy crap.
Luc Montagnier was a great laboratory virologist who won the Nobel for discovering HIV. But he was a PhD who dealt with blood samples sent to his lab, not someone who took care of patients or had expertise in side effects of drugs, other causes of similar symptoms, etc. PhDs make important discoveries in extremely specific areas, but regularly put their foot in mouth when they opine outside their area. For instance, you might create a new form of alloy steel that makes taller skyscrapers possible, but that doesn’t mean you have the expertise of a civil engineer or architect to actually put it to use. Even if you invented the steel, the civil engineer is probably the one to opine on how tall a building is possible.
You will have to provide a citation and details that Montagnier didn’t believe HIV caused AIDS, because he said the opposite in the NEJM, the world’s most prestigious medical journal.
As far as exploring ‘alternative theories’…. 1) Occam’s Razor, and 2) Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence.
Amongst the conspiracy types, I see frequent claims that AZT and other relatively toxic drugs were the cause of AIDS. No. It is possible that in the early days of AIDS people received near toxic doses as a last ditch attempt to save lives… and failed. That is very much what happens to cancer patients taking experimental drugs… Most of these drugs simply work by killing dividing cells indiscriminately… just turns out that cancers are dividing more often.
Your suggestion that we need to rely less on Pharma is great… not a new idea. Who will pay for it? The big priorities for NIH are diversity and representation. Ann Coulter & Heather MacDonald succinctly put forth the ridiculous balancing act of curing disease and racism in “No Biggie, Just The End of Civilization”.
Agreed: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
What is the evidence that HIV *causes* AIDS? Dig into that one a bit (as RFK Jr has done) and how they arrived at that conclusion.
Interesting that two separate replies to this article simping for Big Pharma just so happen to mention “Chinese roots” as the only alternative, not suspicious at all.
There’s a lot of good stuff in the book, but the problem is that RFK is going too far out on a limb with some of the virology. That weakens his argument. I’ve also seen the same thing from others who should know better. Just because they’ve been lying about one virus doesn’t mean that they’re lying about all of them.
RFK himself doesn’t really make many claims himself or really have an argument persay, with regard to HIV/AIDS. He merely thinks it should be studied more and shines a light on what happened when other inquiring minds tried to do that.
Id be curious what specific claims or experts he cites in the book you find issue with. Unfortunately with medical research politics factors into it b/c of the $ required to fund it. We’re all arguing about this stuff without having studies to look at, say, the long term effects of vaccines (through longitudinal studies) or to test alternate theories on the development of the AIDS disease. But those avenues were shut down, and not for any good reasons, more nefarious.
One item in particular is the book’s subsection “Can a Retrovirus as Elusive and Rare as HIV Cause Deadly Illness?” It’s one thing to say that Fauci is a weasel who illegitimately grabbed the spotlight early in the AIDS outbreak (an opinion with which my doctor concurs). It’s another thing to say that HIV infection doesn’t cause AIDS. Even if he is right about it, which I find pretty doubtful, the rabbit hole that RFK2 tries to go down with all that is a distraction from Covid-19.
I got the idea that RFK2 was going even further out on a limb than that, though I haven’t read the entire thing so I can’t say for sure. Actually I was planning to review the book, but looks like there won’t be a need for me to finish my partially completed manuscript.
Well, what evidence is there that HIV causes AIDS? I have known several people who tested positive for HIV and none ever had a disease of any kind, which I found strange b/c I remember learning that if you have HIV you develop AIDS unless you take meds. Turns out most people that test positive for HIV never develop a disease. Also you can have AIDS without HIV. So clearly it’s a bit more complicated to say the least. But do look into what evidence there was for the authorities to determine that HIV causes AIDS and I think you’ll find it lacking. You’re starting off with the proposition that HIV definetly causes AIDS, but what evidence have you see to that effect?
Your talents will be better served elsewhere. How about instead delving into “The Fourth Turning Is Here”. A historian predicts an ideological showdown in the 2030s, and whether the left vs. right will prevail.
I’m too deep to reply directly, so I’ll reply here.
That is, soon after the big AIDS breakout in the early 1980s, transmission by blood contact was noted. These were not all junkies – some were from transfusions. To name one person, that’s how Isaac Asimov caught it, before testing procedures were available. Was this celebrated and very prolific science fiction author a huge dope fiend? Nope. Randy Shilts also noted an elderly grandmother as an early case, got a hip replacement and needed a transfusion during surgery. Was she taking club drugs like they were going out of style? Nope. Then half of the hemophiliacs at the time caught AIDS, because they were dependent on regular administration of blood products and testing procedures were not in place yet. Did they all get AIDS from something they caught from overuse of crystal meth and poppers? Nope. Now that accurate testing of the blood supply for HIV is in place, this is extremely rare.
I’ll say it one more time. Just because they told us a lot of lies about Covid-19 doesn’t mean we have to throw virology out the window.
Did they catch HIV from blood transfusions, or did they catch AIDS?
I just bought it, based upon this article. Perusing the contents:
“Chapter 8: White mischief: DR. Fauci’s African Atrocities”
“Chapter 9: The white man’s burden”
So the book’s openly anti-white then? It may not be the case but I’m not holding out much hope here. I’m going to skip these chapters as I know what I’ll probably be getting.
You can’t divine what’s in these chapters merely by reading their titles, dude.
Some of these folks spending a lot of time commenting on your piece and zero time actually looking into the source. Just lazy and arrogant.
The book is long and expensive. I appreciate the first half of the review and look forward to the denouement but I agree with the commenter above that those apparently anti-white chapter titles are a bad sign. Millions of people have read this book and may have come away thinking HIV/AIDS is a hoax despite all the evidence. Meanwhile they’ll go on believing in the Holohoax, planes bringing down the WTC including building 7, and the never ever to be repeated and archivally bereft lunar landings. Cass Sunstein must be rubbing his hands with glee.
How long have you been in this movement? Is not everything you read or hear these days just tiresomely predictable? And you can just know what people are going to say (completing their sentences before they do) based upon their conditioning?
Maybe it’s just me then. You, yourself, said “he is a racial egalitarian”. So we’re probably going to get normie anti-white crap in those chapters then. This was my assumption, based on a miserable life of biases being confirmed. You know what? I’m open for a scientific experiment here!
My assumption, upon reading those titles, and your description of him as a “racial egalitarian”, is that we’re going to get whining about racism, black victimology and, since the topic is Africa, lots of comment about “colonialisation”. I’ve got the book right here. Let’s open it and see:

CHAPTER 8 WHITE MISCHIEF: DR. FAUCI’S AFRICAN ATROCITIES
Kennedy Jr., Robert F.. Limited Boxed Set: The Real Anthony Fauci (Children’s Health Defense) (p. 617). Skyhorse. Kindle Edition.
“As Vera Sharav points out, racism is an abiding feature of medical authoritarianism and human experimentation. Molecular biologist Harvey Bialy, the editor of the Nature Biotechnology journal, observed that the subtle backdrop of racial and sexual bigotry and bullying are the distinguishing attributes of AIDS research: “The fearful fascination with the contagion was amplified by the official narrative that the disease originated in Africans doing weird things with monkeys, and spread to the voodoo kingdom of Haiti, and that the sexual depravity of homosexuals drove the disease into the United States.” Dr. Fauci’s critic, Charles Ortleb, the editor of New York Native and author of a biography of the NIAID director, recalls that the theme of unwanted minorities spreading contagion was a standardized soliloquy of totalitarianism, most notoriously Hitler’s stoking of public fears of tuberculosis to incite bigotry toward Jews”
“The racism is cloaked inside carefully crafted philanthropic manipulations such as ‘access’ to drugs. It’s never access to clean drinking water, education, sanitation, nutrition. It’s a very blighting message for the US to constantly be browbeating Africans with our self-serving messaging that they are so sick, and we have just the drugs to ‘save’ their lives. When the opposite happens, it’s swept away and hidden behind the false front of charity. I call it Pharma-Colonialism.”
CHAPTER 9 THE WHITE MAN’S BURDEN
Pharma had designs on Africa; Bwana Fauci and Bwana Gates donned pith helmets, grasped their machetes, shouldered their weaponized vaccines and toxic antivirals, and made themselves the twenty-first-century versions of the crusading European explorers Burton and Speke—bestowing the blessings of Western civilization upon the Dark Continent and requiring only obedience in return.

Biases confirmed. I’m good at reading the minds of normies and seeing what’s coming and I’m not going to excuse anti-whiteness from someone who’s on “my side” on the covid evils. I’m also not saying that the info in these chapters isn’t wrong – I was commenting on my dismay at the anti-whiteness and I get pushback from this website, of all things! However, I consider myself vindicated. The book, and its author, are anti-white in my opinion.
Clearly he totally hates Fauci if he wants to smear him with the most abominable pejorative ever…. Racism! Fauci is not Pharma. And Pharma, like any big corporation is amoral. They all want to sell their product to every country possible, whether General Electric, Hyundai, Facebook, Uber, Boeing, Google or Pfizer.
We now have the military-industrial complex, the medical-industrial complex, the transgender-industrial complex, the holocaust-industrial complex, the migration-industrial complex, the education-industrial complex…
The dissident right needs to get its head on straight and start pointing out what links all of these: industry, and capitalism as a whole. Fix the terrible excesses of capitalism and international finance, and 90% of our problems are gone.
I’m really surprised at the level of stupidity exhibited in these comments. It would appear that a large number of CC readers have not followed the Covid plandemic from the start. How is it that any of this is new? The details, yes. The supporting data, yes. But the basics of this manufactured catastrophe? You’ve got to be kidding.
Dr. Michael Yeadon put out numerous videos discussing all of this at the beginning of 2020. Luc Montagnier made several statements decrying the jab before he passed away. Then, of course, there was Steve Kirsch, who relentlessly analyzed the data comparing “Covid deaths” with all-cause mortality counts as only a die-hard statistician would. And there are so many others: Germans, Canadians, Brazilians, etc. all coming up with the same message: the jab was not only unnecessary; it was dangerous.
As for Hydroxychloroquine, this drug, approved over 60 years ago for treating not only malaria but Rheumatoid Arthritis, was the go-to drug for the vast number of medical heretics treating covid patients outside of the established manual, as well as liquid vitamin C, and Zinc. The fact that a drug prescribed for RA would suddenly become unavailable, and in fact, be suddenly decried as dangerous, should have set off warning bells in people’s heads.
I had some trouble getting the book when I went to Barnes and Noble. The clerk said “it’s not available.” I asked “do you mean it’s out of stock? You have to order it?” She just stared back. “The book is not available.” End of discussion. I got it on Amazon, and found it very informative, well-researched and readable. I think that much of what Kennedy wrote merely conformed my earlier observations. Why was HCQ simply banned? why was it
so many people seemed to die when they went to hospitals (“treated” with Remdesivir and ventilators). Much like Kennedy’s impassioned argents on AIDS. No wonder people died; it was the “cures” offered them. This isn’t unusual throughout history (think about leeches being used), but here, big Pharma wouldn’t pass up the chance to make a fortune, big medicine to keep itself as the final arbiter of health. I think Kennedy also made a good case expoing Fauci’s ulterior motives, but so much of that was already apparent. His handling of AIDS was a failure. I remember him saying “we will never have heterosexual sex again”, much like he said after Covid “we can never shake hands again.”
He’s a creepy, ineffective bureaucrat beholden to big Pharma. Again, Trump has to explain how he let Fauci in effect become co-president during the Covid crisis.
I also appreciated Kennedy’s case against extreme vaccination, citing public health triumphs in the 19th century were much more effective than vaccines.
What Kennedy has done to make him feared and disliked is that much of his thesis questions the nature of modern medicine. This is heresy, and is treated as such, especially by the dissenters in the comments here. Some of us here are happy with the status quo.
Chapters 8 and 9 do blame white for introducing malignant medical practices, as well as a general condemnation of “colonialism” and “racism.” This is part of Kennedy’ credo, and got along. with him. If he is taken seriously as a viable political candidate, this is part of him, as is the global warming beliefs of his. As Glenn Beck said, Kennedy once said Beck should be killed for going against global warming. A flawed part of a man who has written a masterful book.
Great review. Fair and on point. There aren’t many public people willing to take on what RFK Jr is taking on and I have immense respect for him for doing it. He is flawed and isn’t *our guy* but is certainly a truth seeker and brave man.
An effective politician accomplishes things. If he doesn’t like Fauci, this tack is just going to embolden Fauci’s supporters with all of its overreaching conspiracy. He might have just mugged for the cameras and said Fauci has been divisive, his role in COVID had serious missteps. We thank Dr. Fauci for his many years of service but in the interest of the country we need a new director like we did at the CDC. Vote RFK! Well at the end of the year Fauci did step down, though I’m skeptical it was because of this book. If a politician wants to impress me I want to see how good their acting skills are when they feign “I really care” and “I feel your pain”. Maybe RFK can debate Marjorie Taylor Greene on some of the headlines from South Africa’s Daily Sun… Trump can be the moderator and sling caustic zingers, his true calling.
I don’t think he overreaches with “conspiracy.” I think he wrote this book out of moral indignation. It isn’t a calculated political tract.
