How to Build White Communities in Small Towns

There is a call to build white communities at every American Renaissance conference. But where have we progressed in 19 years on this issue? Personally, I think nowhere — at least in the United States. I’ll therefore try to motivate White Nationalists by my own example in my own town.

I know that this goal is difficult to achieve, and consumes a lot of time and energy, but unfortunately we have no other solution yet.

I live in a small town, and I am trying to build a white community around a few different interests. I chose implicitly white interests.

Circle of the Ice Man

About five years ago, people in the Czech Republic started bathing in icewater in the winter, building up their immunity. This exercise was supported by the famous nationalist singer Daniel Landa. Ordinary people likewise wanted to do something for their health.

The Czech Lion Award, the biggest Czech film award, went to the illiberal film Ice Mother (2017), which deals with the alienation and atomization of people living in the big city. The main character joins a white ice group and finds friendship, community, and love, and offers a sense of purpose to other people. By contrast, her liberal son is estranged, medicated, sees a psychiatrist, has toxic relationships, and is living a life without purpose. He pulls his entire family into the modern world. The film itself is a revolt against the modern world. (I would like to write a full review of this film.)

Since this boom in icewater swimming, the peculiar record-breaker Wim Hof has further promoted it worldwide with his breathing methods and organizing of groups. I’m reading his book on breathing methods right now, and want to pursue it further. I would be pleased to write a guide for Counter-Currents on how to help the breath awaken the inner fire. With the help of breath, one can awaken the warrior in oneself. The breath is sacred.

There are people in my family and in the wider neighborhood who also go swimming in icewater, so I started a Facebook group for these people where I try to organize one group meeting a week. People post their photos, information, and records, and motivate others to be more active. Sometimes we even make a funny video. There are several such groups in my region, so it is possible that we will gradually agree on some form of cooperation. In the future I want to make special Fire and Ice t-shirts, combining our inner fire and the surrounding environment of icewater. I want to motivate some of the people in this milieu to become active in nationalism and regionalism.

Poetry Night

My girlfriend and I have different ideas, but our interests overlap in that we are both great lovers of poetry. I particularly like the German Expressionists, the Czech surrealists, experimental poetry, and political poetry. My girlfriend likes the cursed poets: songwriters and nature lyrics. I even published a five-part series on contemporary Czech and Slovak nationalist poetry a year ago in Reconquista magazine. Then one day we saw the great film Dead Poets Society, directed by Peter Weir. We realized that this is exactly the kind of atmosphere and event we would like to organize.

From that point on, it was just another step to realize it. We organized the first year’s event at a friend’s film studio. About ten poets performed for an audience of about 20 people. Unfortunately, we invited everyone we knew, and as the event was held on a Friday night, some people came more to drink alcohol and cause problems than to appreciate poetry. This was not good for the event’s atmosphere.

Some gentle souls present were disturbed by a fight that broke out and a violent man who stabbed his knife into a table. I didn’t mind, however, given that the Russian poet Mikhail Lermontov once brought a naked religious fanatic who rattled chains and terrified Romantic poets from high society at a poetry reading. Eduard Limonov could likewise tell a story that was anything but conventional. A little provocation belongs in poetry! Thus, the evening had atmosphere, and we filmed it.

My girlfriend and I acted as moderators. I was the muse of kitsch and she of elegance, and we adapted our dress and expression to these roles.

[5]

I recited Gottfried Benn, Francois Villon, and Bertrand de Born; my girlfriend the Czech poets Karel Havlicek Borovsky, J. H. Krchovsky, S. K. Neumann, and some of the cursed poets. We instructed those who were present to wear avant-garde clothes and dress as muses. This was a wise decision, and people enjoyed it. We gave each reader about ten minutes, organized into thematic groups of three or four reciters each: decadence, historical poetry, love poetry, and experimental poetry, followed by a break after each performance. This worked well, and the evening was a success.

Under the influence of this event, my girlfriend started holding a weekly event called Sunday Poetry. Every Sunday, in a thematic environment, she would recite some classic poetry. The audience got to listen to Rudyard Kipling, Charles Baudelaire, Krchovsky, Neumann, and others who they never would have read on their own.

[6]

The following year we held the second installment of the event in a rehearsal room, but we invited fewer people — and those who wouldn’t cause problems. This time we conceived it in such a way that I hosted the evening as The Cremator, a character in a famous Czech dark film, and his girlfriend, who was my wife, Lakmé. Even though fewer people came, it was a success. As a result, some of those who came started to write their own poetry and learned to recite famous poets. Overall, I think it influenced people. Next year, we will offer a third installment on a different theme.

Rehearsal rooms

I know musicians who have access to two local rehearsal rooms. One is used by a former skinhead band, and is located in a very cold bomb shelter. Unfortunately, these people don’t engage in any artistic activity apart from the occasional jamming and band rehearsals. You can have a drink with them, listen to their songs, or sing their better-known skinhead covers, but that’s all.

The other is owned by the local Leftist golden youth, who are into veganism, animal rights, LGBT+ rights, and drugs. The bright side of this community is their books, the poetry nights I host there with my girlfriend, jamming on various exotic musical instruments, experimenting with sound, and hosting lots of musical events: noise, punk, hardcore, and experimental. These people also organize cultural events for the city: exhibitions, performances, concerts, and events for the library. These people are unfortunately much more creative and educated than the local far Right. But I hang out with all types of people in my small town.

You may be wondering, how is that possible? In the United States, antifa is burning down cities. So how can a White Nationalist in the Czech Republic hold his event in a Leftist rehearsal hall? It‘s simple: We live in a small town, and we all know each other here. Often, our parents know each other. So we have no reason to beat each other up or burn down their rehearsal room. We also have things in common, such as a love of poetry and literature. Practically all the musicians in our town use the rehearsal room, perhaps 20 people, and each of them has a slightly different opinion. But even if we have different views about non-white migration, LGBT+, freedom of speech, and so on, we live together in a small town, and we will live here together for a long time. There is no point in starting fights and harming each other. We’re going to meet at neutral cultural events anyway, or even at the cultural events that we organize together. Militancy is simply not welcome here.

[7]

I encourage former skinheads to be more creative. As for the Left, I support their fight for free speech and try to feed them identitarian ideas.

Board Game Club

In my free time, when I’m not working or writing for Counter-Currents, I go to the pub. I hang out with a pretty big group of people there. I once met a woman who was just coming out of a long-term relationship and who wanted to have some fun so she wouldn’t have to think about her ex-boyfriend. We started playing cards, dice, mikado, time-line, dobble, and various board games. It was all pretty innocent, but it attracted a lot of people. We go at least once a month now, taking our friends along. We put the tables together and play.

[8]

Literary Club

In the future, I want to select the elite from among my contacts and invite them to join a literary club. Everyone will pick five books, and then a lottery will determine what we will read. Here I could at least I could spread Guillaume Faye‘s ideas.

I manage to organize a lot of activities. I have a lot of contacts in small towns, and I am probably well-known here. I openly espouse White Nationalism, when it comes to that, but people tend to see it as more of a curiosity, or as my own personal form of rebellion. Unfortunately, I have not been able to promote these ideas n the communities I have created. The people in these communities are living their own lives, and even if they are exclusively white, they don’t defend white rights. They are only interested in the community itself, and not in politics or the white question. Almost no one hears about free speech, either.

On the positive side, everyone is willing to contribute something for the community: performing at a poetry night, baking cakes, preparing refreshments, decorating the room. But they are not willing to support political activity: writing a letter to a political prisoner, contributing money to a free-speech organization, or turning out the vote for pro-national politicians. Before the last election, I approached 20 people from my town about voting for a pro-national women’s candidate, but none of them would, each giving me an excuse as to why they couldn’t. Sadly, I don’t know any nationalists in my area. Even the former skinheads don’t openly support nationalism, despite what they think about it. And unfortunately, no one reads books.

I have a friend who is against immigration, but he simply curses everything and creates nothing. If I take him out in public, he’ll embarrass me. As a result I prefer not to invite him to my events, because he’s more likely to turn people off than bring them around to anti-immigration positions. Another friend is a conspiracy theorist; a connoisseur of all conspiracies. Unfortunately, he’s pretty crazy.  I also have a friend who is an opportunist: He espouses nationalism when he’s with me, and multiculturalism when he’s at a Leftist event. Yet, the lead singer in my band is dating a black woman and I listen to black blues. So how could I be racist?

Divided by choice

A White Nationalist, a conspiracy theorist, and an opportunist met in a pub. And here’s where I’ll stop. Watch out! This isn’t a joke. The three of us were discussing what the most important thing is for preventing society from being taken over by the multicultural Left. The opportunist said that the most important thing is to provoke a war with Russia and fight Russian propaganda. The conspiracy theorist said that the most important thing is to expose the lizard people and the pedophiles‘ islands. After ordinary people find out about them, society will collapse and transform, you see. I said that what we need most is White Nationalist media. If we have our own media that is independent of the mainstream and global finance, we will win those who are living in a collapsing society over to our side.

In other words, we didn’t agree on anything. Three black men in a strange town can agree on raping someone, burning cars, and stealing, but three white people who are born in the same town, speak the same language, have the same interests, and oppose the multicultural Left can‘t agree on anything.

Autumn land-art

In autumn, when the leaves of the trees turn yellow and red, I organize an art event in a local park. The rules are simple: get into the magic of the moment and create only temporary art. Get together with a bunch of friends and collectively draw a picture, or perhaps make a figure out of colored leaves, branches, and whatever else is lying around. Last year, we created the Spirit of Autumn.

[9]

The future

I had the idea of taking the literary club in an identitarian direction. I thought of getting to know some local, older patriots and use them to infiltrate my organization. If this was successful, people would either have to join a nationalist ice swimming group, a land-art group, or leave. They wouldn’t be avid nationalists, but they would at least be in a nationalist group. I know from experience that if I don’t organize any events, then nothing will happen. We need to involve ordinary people in our community events. We don’t need a tiny nationalist circle-jerk. I’m as opposed to Right-wing sectarianism as Greg Johnson is.

If I took a different approach and organized creative events just for nationalists, either I’d find myself alone or I’d have to invite nationalists from other cities. I once invited 70 people I respect who are Czech and Slovak nationalists for a trip. I developed a two-day tourism and historical program, making a poster for the event and promoting it through two organizations on Facebook. Only four people came. On top of this, if I wanted to organize a purely nationalist event, the Lefties wouldn’t lend me their rehearsal room.

[10]

My nationalist activities

There is no serious nationalist party in our Republic. There are only inactive, unattractive little nationalist parties, or the SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy), a corrupt party led by a racial mongrel who co-opts the votes of disaffected people. The SPD does nothing outside Parliament. The SPD will never lead the country; it is merely looking for state funding. I voted for them only because are no quality nationalist parties. Thus, if I want to run for city council or something, I would have to run for the SPD or as an independent. In the past, however, it has been shown that independents only serve to take votes away from the mainstream parties and push neo-Marxism locally. I therefore do not see any possibility for using practical politics to realize nationalism in our country.

Since 2015 I have been writing and translating [11] for the Czech website Deliandiver [12]. My first translation was of a short article about Casa Pound Italia that orginally appeared at Counter-Currents. After that I began translating for them regularly. I also wrote a series of 20 journalistic articles on modern Czech and Slovak political dissent, describing people who are being followed by the police or jailed for their views, who have been prosecuted by the democratic system for more than ten years, and who have been financially destroyed.

The Czech system likewise censors musicians and bans the publication of books. The current political system in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia is worse than it was under the Communist dictatorship. This series of articles was the most controversial journalism series produced in either the Czech Republic or Slovakia since 1989. Additionally, I like to write reviews of interesting books and music. To date, I have written and translated more than 70 articles for Deliandiver.

Deliandiver is the only website in the Czech Republic or Slovakia that publishes New Right texts. It is censored similar to how Counter-Currents is. It publishes many translations of articles from this site as well as The Occidental Observer and American Renaissance.

[13]

I’ve been writing for Counter-Currents since 2020 [14]. My first contribution was an interview with the Polish author Jaroslaw Oszrogniew, who I know personally. I think the people around the New Right are very interesting personalities. They have chosen a difficult path. They are non-conformist intellectuals, so it is interesting to learn more about them besides only reading their articles. The mainstream media is smearing nationalists, so it’s up to us to fight back and show that we are educated, creative, and very resilient writers and that we have many different interests. I’m trying to do this through interviews with Counter-Currents authors. The media is smearing the nationalists, so it’s up to us to fight back and show that we are educated, creative, and very resilient, and that we also have a lot of interests. I’m trying to do this through interviews with individual Counter-Currents authors. So far I’ve conducted interviews with Jaroslaw Ostrogniew, Beau Albrecht, Spencer J. Quinn, Anthony Bavaria, and Mark Gullick. More are forthcoming. I also like to write reports on events, such as for example my recent article about Légió Hungária’s Sports Camp. I also write reviews of neofolk and black metal bands. Most of my writing is music reviews and interviews.

I also work for Reconquista magazine [15], which is the only printed Czech or Slovak nationalist periodical. I started writing it in 2018, and since then have written or translated about 30 articles for it. Recently I’ve been publishing Czech versions of articles that I published in English at Counter-Currents. Reconquista is published quarterly and has very good illustrations and original content, and it is one of the most interesting magazines in the Czech and Slovak republics.
