For a long time, I thought about what sets us, as identitarians, White Nationalists, and dissidents apart from other political groups, both current and historical. It was while thinking about the phenomenon of crypsis that I came to an understanding that our defining feature is our acceptance of the concept of the absolute outsider. Allow me to walk you through my thought process.
I was thinking about the phenomenon of crypsis as alluded to by Kevin MacDonald in The Culture of Critique. Crypsis is a term from biology which describes acts by animals or plants to conceal themselves, but MacDonald uses it in the context of Jews obscuring their foreign nature in host societies. Jewish crypsis is most often mimicry, which is to say Jews will pretend to be gentiles on the individual level in order to gain the trust of individual gentiles who may treat them differently if they knew they were Jewish.
Now, while there are some Jews who could pass for gentiles, the notion of Jews practicing crypsis in any significant numbers is to me unlikely given the fact that they wear their ethnicity on their faces, for the most part. There is such a thing as Jewish physiognomy, and it is very distinctive. I’ve heard some people claim that the Jewish physiognomy is also found in Italians and Greeks, but personally, I’m not convinced. Maybe all Mediterraneans look the same to northwestern Europeans. Regardless, the behavioral profiles of Greeks and Italians is very different from that of Jews, and so through a combination of reading their physiognomy and tracking their behavior, Jews can be effectively identified even in a crowd of Greeks, Italians, and other Mediterranean peoples.
It was when thinking about these and other means of differentiating Jews from a population of Mediterranean white gentiles that I realized that the process includes a prior assumption that I make, but that is lacking in the majority of white people alive today. That is, of course, the assumption that the Jews are outsiders. But let’s not single out the Jews here (I’ve done that elsewhere). The fact of the matter is that even if we weren’t looking for a Jew in a Greekstack, the very idea of there being outsiders, understood as an ethnic category, which can be determined through observing their physiognomy and behavior is revolutionary in the modern world. Without this assumption, which provides the framework for observing the population among which we seek the Jew, the fact is that even though such people would see the exact same things I would, they would not be able to detect the outsider — because they have no conception of the outsider.
This is a bold claim, especially to make in a world where people are routinely drummed out of polite society for holding disapproved views. What do you mean, there are no outsiders? What are we, who deny the Nuremberg Moral Paradigm, then? Didn’t you yourself write an article describing the dissident as the absolute other of the Leftist mainstream not three months ago, Mr. Jeelvy? What gives?
Indeed, I won’t deny that our enemy has no conception of outsideness — a conceptual space where people like us live. In their mental maps, this place may be called Racistan, or simply be marked “here be haters.” The Z Man of the Z blog calls it “the outer darkness.” But here’s the key difference: Racistan has no natives in the liberal worldview. Racistan is populated by exiles from civilized society; people who were expelled from the community of the elect for being “haters” in a process of otherization that I’ve described in my article on what liberals mean when they say hate.
But as liberals — and conservatives — will inform you if you have the ears to hear, they do not believe anyone is born racist. Conservatives believe racism is a personal and irrational failing of man stemming from ignorance, whereas liberals have a more sophisticated — some would say more convoluted — notion of it, both of which are explored here. Both, however, contend that racism is in some way unnatural; an aberration of the human condition. In short, in the enemy worldview one is not born but rather becomes an outsider, and outsideness as a conceptual space is inhabited only by those who choose to live there.

Compare that to our conception of the outsider. When I say someone is a Jew, I don’t mean someone who chose to practice the rabbinical religion, but rather I mean that such a person belongs to the ethnic group we call Jews. I believe this person was born a Jew, is a Jew no matter what he says, and believes as and dies as and will remain a Jew even if he converts to any faith other than Judaism. There is nothing this person can do to cease being a Jew, no more than I can cease being white. He is a permanent outsider to me and all white people in my worldview. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s an enemy, but between us is a boundary which cannot be crossed. To say that someone has stopped being a Jew and become a gentile is in the same category of nonsense as saying someone has stopped being a man and become a woman. Even if a man cuts off his penis and puts on a wig, he is still a man: a damaged one, but still a man. Analogously, a Jew converting to Christianity or Asatru doesn’t become white, but rather remains a Jew — although the degree to which he can actualize his full potential as a Jew then comes into question.
The notion of scanning a group of gentiles and finding the Jew hiding among them puts us in the frame of mind of a border guard, keeping outsiders from using crypsis in order to deceive us and move into our space, where they will carry out their nefarious work. However, there are many other outsiders, many of whom are not enemies and who are not even hostile — just not part of our group. They live outside our space, and there are many differences between us and them as well as between different groups of outsiders. Some of them are pretty cool and make excellent cartoons. But the general mental map is that of us in our corner of the world and of all the outsiders in the outlands, which form the majority of the world. The enemy’s mental map is inverted, however.
Since the enemy’s contention is that his values are universal — they’re not, but don’t tell them that, as they tend to get very angry –, he necessarily regards the entire universe as being within the perimeter fence and every inhabitant of the universe as his in-group, whether these people like it or not. In other words, even if you have a solid grasp of the concept of the outsider, you do not get to practice it in the face of a universalist creed, since they do not recognize that you may be an outsider and may even prefer to remain outside their creed. Likewise, they may lack the conceptual tools to accept that your own creed, which you understand as particular to your own in-group, is not and isn’t meant to be universalizable, which is to say meant for global adoption. You will not be allowed to remain an outsider for long, and if you resist, you will be deemed a hater and slated for destruction, and automatically declared an enemy of humanity. In our enemy’s mental map, the in-group is all-encompassing, and the outside conceptual space is pure darkness and evil — a place where we dump the haters and racists.
This means that the enemy is by necessity an imperialist entity who respects and indeed can brook no boundaries between nations, between states, between tribes, and even between the sexes. The very idea of boundaries is blasphemy in their worldview, and only a hater would point out that there are unsurmountable boundaries between men. To point out a boundary is to declare that in any situation there are two groups: one inside, one outside. To name that boundary as permanent and fixed, as we do, is to commit the ultimate sin of universalist faiths.
Coming back to crypsis, the idea that Jews try to pass themselves off as gentiles is laughable if we have the conceptual tools to identify the outsider. But what if those conceptual tools, the operational framework arising out of the concept of the outsider, is damaged by notions of universalism and all ability and proclivity for identifying the outsider as such is pathologized as “racism”? This is a far more powerful form of crypsis than simply changing your name from Rothstein to Roth. It strikes at the host society’s ability to distinguish between outsiders and insiders by problematizing the very notion of recognizing outsiders as such. This is the radical critique identified in The Culture of Critique. Jewish crypsis is more advanced than merely pretending to be gentiles, but it consists of poking out the conceptual eye which notices that they are not gentiles.
This is what sets us apart from everyone else: the notion that there are immutable differences between people, that belonging is determined by birth and cannot be changed, and that outsiders exist. Our very idea of the outsider — not as a foreigner, meaning coming from a different place, but someone fundamentally different from us — is a conceptual revolt against the universalist regime and is also the bare minimum for considering yourself fundamentally opposed to it. We are defined by our ability and readiness to point out the outsider no matter how hard he tries to conceal himself and no matter how much he tries to problematize our framework for recognizing the outsider. For this, we are hated and scorned by society, which denies the very possibility of there being such a thing as an outsider.
The way forward is clear. We must press on with reconstructing the framework for recognizing the outsider and reinstitute this notion in the minds of ordinary people. After that is done, we shall begin the far easier task of arguing that political organization should take the distinction between outsider and kin into account.

Wanna play “Where’s Waldo?” Get a copy of Donald Trump’s biography The Art of the Deal and try to find a non-Jewish name among his business associates. It can be done but it’s quite a challenge!
Yes, I tried to listen to the audio book of The Art of The Deal, and was shocked at the number of Trump’s “associates” who were of the Tribe.
One hundred years ago, Catholic writer Hillaire Belloc wrote his book The Jews. The heart of it is that Europeans must recognize that Jews are their own distinct nation, never an authentic part of the host nations, and that no matter what role they play or how they present themselves, they are aliens, others and outsiders, to the European peoples.
A contemporary shorthand I have heard is to consider all Jews as Overseas Israelis.
Further, he held that much of the cycle of misery they both cause and suffer from lies in their and our refusal to be honest about this. It was a history of misery he hoped to bring to an end through accepting reality. Not long after, of course, this history has not only continued but intensified.
Belloc’s The Jews is a highly undervalued book, even in WN and Dissident conversations. I am glad you brought it up here.
A highly insightful and sobering article, on which I fully agree. As an East Asian, I myself am an “outsider” according to the standards of the author, which I calmly and pleasantly consent to and accept, though this by no means debase or detract from my strong self-identification as a sincere and staunch supporter and ally of White Nationalism/Dissident Right, base on my own conscience, conviction and worldview. I do not shrink from identifying myself as an “outsider”, albeit an outsider sympathetic to and supportive of the White Nationalist cause with no selfish or ulterior aims, simply because I am noble, honest, and not a Jew. I will strive with all my strengths and abilities for the advancement of WN and ask only for your rightful perception and acceptance of me as a comrade and ally from “outside” and hopefully a welcome honorary guest in the victorious future White sovereign state(s).
There are people who want WIN to be a club for only certain kinds of Whites who have a certain kind of politics. They don’t even want allies from other Whites who are not 100% in conformity with their politics. Some of us are not like that. I welcome you as an ally and appreciate your willingness to stand by White dissidents in these trying times.

I agree. To succeed, we clearly need to take an expansive view of “white” as well as make allowances for a certain percentage of non-white allies. I would go even so far as to permit proven descendants of slaves to remain (after offering them $200K to go back).
America is a big place, so maybe some space can be spared for blacks, but they do not belong in Europe and will have to go back.
How things turn out will depend on what we do which will depend upon how much power we have and how we’re willing to use that power. Beginning with advocating restoration of community rights and nullification of remote edicts leads – initially to a mosaic of ‘autonomous zones’, that, over time, might form one or more racially homogeneous ethnostates. I realize some Whites never want to see another non-White ever again. The racial puritans will have their own spaces. But as long as Whites are in charge, the presence of some non-Whites who know how to be around Whites wouldn’t be the end of the world. That was the world I lived in most of my life and only the coddling of Jews and importing mass numbers of racial aliens all over the country changed that. That’s why I think the White racial vanguard needs to think in the long term not lead with ‘race’ but with ‘separatism’ or ‘community rights’ such as Spencer Quinn has been exploring in their Secession/ISEE essays.
An old joke I heard was that if you tell a Jew he looks Italian, he thanks you. If you tell an Italian he looks like a Jew, he punches you in the face.
Trump allegedly converted to Judaism back in 2019. Obviously, he doesn’t share the typical “Jewish” physiognomy. The reason Jews don’t look completely dark and ugly may stem from their conscious effort to mix with lighter Caucasians in recent times. They are the world’s premier parasitic organization and because Caucasians have had the most power, globally, during this time, they have done their best to blend in and bleed us dry to the point that non-Jews like Trump and his daughter have felt the need to “become” parasites themselves in order to maintain their power. Alas, the Chinese “Jew” appears right around the corner.
Based on having read a few spirited back and forths between Mr. Johnson and Tanstaafl (from 2015), I don’t know if the latter is exactly a welcome name around here, but I will say his archived 30-minute podcasts from the White Network/Age of Treason blog have been essential when learning about Jewish crypsis and influence. There was an article about him in January on the Occidental Observer if anyone wants the links to his content. I’m fully aware of the criticisms against him, but for me his work has been an extra valuable resource in my post-normie awakening.

Sailer doesn’t name the jew so I doubt it. Tan is fairly persistent in his conviction in what ails the US.
I am curious as to whether the author would consider a white person converting to Judaism to still be white.
Jewish crypsis has been going on since Bible times when Jacob, the ancestor of the Jewish people, subverted Esau of his blessing and birthright. Esau in Jewish tradition is the ancestor of Rome, the West and Christendom. In the story of course Jacob puts on goat pelts to mimic as his hairy brother. Millenia later Jews change their last names to fit in the culture of their host culture, climb their way to up power (another biblical metaphor of Jacob and the ladder) and advocating for things that are in the polar opposite interests of their host country. To be fair though, there were some instances in the Bible of Jews helping their host countries. Joseph successfully interpreting Pharaoh’s dream and saving the country from famine and Daniel offering sage wisdom to the king come to mind.
I think Merrick Garland is a par excellence example of crypsis. Just look at that WASP sounding name. McDonald also talks about deception and self-deception. “The idea that George Soros manipulates currency and funds subversive liberal causes plays into hurtful anti-Semitic tropes.” You are deceived into thinking that you’re an anti-Semite for simply noticing what George Soros does and Jewish NGO does the self-deception that there’s nothing at all wrong with what George Soros is doing.
Jacob’s trick only works because his father Isaac is blind. Jewish crypsis is laughably bad once you’ve internalized the concept of the outsider.
This seems a complex subject and can be looked at in different ways.
On appearances, some Jews are physically conspicuous in their appearance, especially in the context of our age and our movement and our own concerns, but others far less so.
I suspect any advantages that derive from a physical dynamic of mimicry is more about how information is received on an instinctive primal level. It’s not going to hold up to intense scrutiny, but it doesn’t need to. It just needs to get the brain to drop its guard a little.
A crude example might be “My fellow white people” might have worked for them for a while if the Jew saying it very broadly appears white and their name isn’t being studied too hard by busy normies.
Likewise, before the days of the internet and the free flow of Jew watching and exposing and ‘early life’ research we have today I’m sure many people automatically assumed a lot of Jewish actors they saw in movies and on TV as Gentiles and didn’t think much about it.
Ok probably some people heard Leonard Nimoy was a Jew and it kinda figured because he looked alien and other-wordly even without the Spock ears , but I remember years ago being surprised to find out William Shatner was also actually a Jew.
Then far later on I was even more surprised to find a lot of actors were Jews or part Jews like Harrison Ford.
Perhaps if I went back and studied the faces of Jewish actors who don’t look Jewish I would find some trait that hints at their ethnic origin, but in any case it should seem odd that Jews complain now about Jew face when a far bigger issue has been Jews in goy face. Another case of Jews accusing the victim of their own crime.
I suspect a number of famous actor Jews found their way into stardom in leading roles precisely because they don’t look especially Jewish and can pass as goy. And some of these look like good looking goys because they have absorbed good looking goy genes through intermarriage.
Still their being – their behavior underlines them as the eternal outsider to us, but a part of Ashkenazi Jews is also European, they have absorbed a part of us which lets them flow between insider and outsider, have all the benefits of the inside, or use our insideness to advance their outsideness and perhaps that’s what makes them especially problematic.

I think what amazed me most about the Jews is how few there are of them. Orthodox Jews only count about 14 million as ‘members’, while the more lenient Reformed Synagogues count more or less 25 million worldwide. Given that they have some sort of hand in nearly every financial dealing in the world, that is pretty amazing. They own everything from major banks to corner-store tie shops. And those who keep a really low profile are the mid-level bankers and Wall-Street types that don’t get mentioned in the year-end reports, yet have vastly important back-office jobs. Also, I read somewhere that Jews have their hand in nearly ever major enterprise in small, seemingly-insignificant countries worldwide. In other words, they have their fingers in a lot of high-level stew-pots.
Another thing they ‘dabble in’ are the charity NGOs, which are wonderful vehicles for hiding money. There’s a book currently on the shelves, “The Open Society Playbook”, by Scott Howard, which details George Soros’ involvement in the world of Big Charity, and how much power is attached to his ‘caring for the poor’. What a huge spiderweb that is! And it is only one of hundreds or thousands of others run by the Jewish Worldwide Charity Cartel. Truly, per capita, the richest people in the world.
