It was ok. Not as good as when another person is there, but that’s to be expected. Maybe it’s a skill you have to build up to.
What about basil polidorus and the Conan the barbarian sound track? I can’t believe they don’t warrant a mention. I’m not speaking only for my own (questionable) taste, but among everyone I know it has universal acclaim. Too derivative and pastiche perhaps? If you haven’t heard it, as you almost certainly have, much of this cinematic theme music seems to derive from The Planets by Holst. I think you will see that the imperial theme song owns a big something to Mars the bringer of war. I have a really good production with geeensleeves by Vaughn Williams after planets. I recommend that one.
Glad you mentioned ‘A Fistful of Dollars’ by Ennio Morricone. A beautiful soundtrack which takes me far away every time.
I actually mentioned The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
My mistake, that’s what I meant.
I enjoyed this podcast with you taking questions from your audience. This is a great idea to generate more ideas and raise money for your webzine.
You said you are a fan of the Italian composer Ennio Morricone. Did you know you composed the score the John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982)? You should listen to it.
Thanks for bringing back Counter-Currents Radio (CCR).
