Why I Write
So That We Shall Not Fade Away

“We must always possess the character of the true revolutionary. It is not the character that you observe in the little men of the old parties, blown hither and thither by every gust of convenience opinion, elated by a little success, downcast by a little failure, gossiping and chattering about the prospects of the next five minutes, jostling for place, but not so forward in service. Without loyalty, endurance, or staying power, such a character is the hallmark of financial democratic politics. It is the opposite of National Socialism.

In the true revolutionary, the first quality is the power to endure. Constancy, loyalty to cause and comrades, manhood and stability of nature.”—Oswald Mosley

There is, for each of us, a passage in a book or a portion of a speech that ignites something, deep, deep down within us. And, no matter how much time lapses between when you first came upon it and this present moment, it continues to illuminate, for the truths it contains, the light it shines, the hope it gives are never to be forgotten or unfelt.

For me, Mosley’s words have always resonated with and reenergized my spirit. I have returned again and again to this speech. Sometimes I recall his words in an inspired state of quiet joy for the strides we make as a folk and a movement, but more often than not, I return to this speech to help overcome feelings of utter, solitary despair for the state of the world we find ourselves in: we have been handed a fight we never picked, but must resolve to keep fighting until we win if we want to continue as a folk, as a race, or even as a constant presence on this plane of existence.

It is not easy, this battle we wage daily, in ways both micro and macro. But we are in it. And we shall not surrender. Words like those Mosley left us are huge helps in keeping that flame of inspired courageousness in front of us, lighting the way. Because we still have light, we shall not surrender, and because we shall not surrender, we shall prevail.

It’s not the unsurrendering that is difficult, of course, it is the enduring until we prevail that is hard. Mundane daily life is a grind, particularly so for those of us who fight a fight that is not (right now) taking place on battlefields, but in media, in education, in social mores, and in the souls and minds of our fellow folk. This is, of course, no accident. Without high drama, it all seems so . . . uninspiring.

Energies flag for lack of perceived motion; plans fade if not immediately acted on, hopes wither, hearts die, and eventually the soul and mind will bow out. We must not bow out because it is not as glorious as our mass-media soaked imaginations would like. We must endure, we must work on, we must continue. We do make progress, we do make a difference, what we do does matter. Our goal is to re-establish a whole shining ethos, taking the very building blocks of what once was and creating what shall be again. Before us are the tasks of gathering the bricks, setting the foundations, keeping track of what we have to work with. And we shall do so, and we shall keep doing so, until all is ready and the physical rebuilding can begin. It takes all of us, though, from the brick carriers to the architects, to those who keep the foundations.

Counter-Currents is one of the foundations upon which so many of our theoretical bricks and plans are set, to be kept whole and kept track of for when they will be implemented in more than metapolitical ways. It must endure, it must keep on, it must continue to be an inspiration for all who actively carry on the work of restarting a world, and for those who are still arriving, it must be a clarion call, and a place where the fire of words such as Mosley’s is never extinguished.

Support this site. Give it your all, folks, give it what you can, give it while you can, give it while we all can. If we do this, we shall never fade, we shall never be erased, we shall prevail as we always have.

We must never pass away, must not fade
Into a past that will not be kind. For those
Who no longer remain will not be made
Into memories; the future bestows
No such promises. If we are not here
Then we might as well have never been, all
Our folkways, our glories, will disappear–
Or worse. The future has no qualms, will call
High civilizations theirs, great history theirs, talents, skills
Theirs, theirs . . . everything . . . theirs. We will be
Erased. We will be forgotten. We will
Not be rediscovered by those who’d see
Our truths, no one will be looking backward:
Should we fade away, there’ll be no record.

Counter-Currents cannot function without donations from our readers. Although we have more than 150,000 unique visitors every month, fewer than 400 people donate to Counter-Currents in a given year. The rest are free riders. I want to thank those donors who have made Counter-Currents possible. If you are not (yet) a donor, the best way you can thank those who made Counter-Currents possible is by becoming a donor yourself. Pay it forward, so that others can enjoy Counter-Currents in years to come.

There are several ways you can help out.

First, you can use a credit card.

We can take single donations or monthly donations through our credit card form. If you sign up for a monthly donation today, the first payment will be charged a month from now. If you want your first donation to be made today, put that amount in the one-time donation box as well as in the monthly donation box. If you want your donation to start in one month, please enter 0.00 in the one-time donation box.

Second, you can use Hatreon.

“Hatreon” is like Patreon but for the “haters” who are being purged from Patreon as part of the vast ongoing deplatforming of white advocates and dissident Rightists. Hatreon helps creative dissidents enjoy steady, predictable incomes from patrons who make monthly pledges of support. Just go to my Hatreon profile page [3] and make a pledge.

Hatreon is run by a dissident Rightist like us. Hatreon is highly ethical and takes only a very small percentage of donations to cover their costs. I very much want Hatreon to succeed, so please sign up for an account today. Help Hatreon get off to a strong start — and help Counter-Currents stay in the fight.

Third, Counter-Currents also takes Bitcoin.

Our Bitcoin address is: 1ChE5DZVVZJpv8mnJ3fRrtSDrTikBh7uFL

In the coming weeks, we will begin accepting donations in all digital currencies, and we will publish a tutorial on how you can begin using them.

Finally, you can also mail donations to:

We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of generosity from a large number of readers. But we need to hear from all of you. Especially from our monthly donors. Please renew today.

Winter is coming for white advocacy. We must be industrious ants, building up capital and bracing ourselves for further attacks and deplatforming. We can no longer be happy-go-lucky grasshoppers, depending on the kindness and fair play of capitalists. Fear not, we will never quit. But we need to build new institutions, an integrated electronic ethnostate offering everything from domain registration to webhosting to DDOS protection to mailing list management — all controlled by our movement. This is a huge task, and we obviously should have started building it years ago. But when you donate, you are helping us build it today.

Thank you for your loyal readership and generosity.
