The Counter-Currents 2017 Fundraiser
This Time It’s Serious

[1]783 words

Every year, on June 11th, Counter-Currents launches our annual fundraiser. This year’s goal is $60,000. Since then, we have raised $42,928.52, for which we are all immensely grateful.

Normally, we end our fundraiser on Halloween. But this year, if need be, we are going to extend it until the end of the year, for the simple reason that we have suffered a serious setback.

Almost two months ago, in the anti-white purge following Unite the Right in Charlottesville, PayPal shut down our account, which canceled our monthly donations, which really were keeping Counter-Currents afloat. We immediately set up a Hatreon account and also let people know they could make monthly donations via credit card. Since then, we have gotten back a little more than half of the monthly amount we were receiving, but only about a third of our monthly donors.

What explains this? All of our large donors immediately signed back up. They knew that their donations made a difference, and they wanted them to continue. The losses were almost entirely from donors who were giving $20/month or less. Let me address those donors personally. I believe that you simply believed that your individual donations couldn’t have made that much of a difference, and so you decided not to sign up again for a monthly donation using alternative means like Hatreon or a credit card. The problem is, a lot of you had the same thought, and that makes a huge difference.

This is an object lesson in how often isolated individuals making humble efforts can make a big difference, if their efforts coalesce with the efforts of other such individuals. Unfortunately, right now, the difference is somewhat negative. But you can turn that around right now. So please, if you were a monthly donor, make this the day you sign back up. (Payment information appears below.)

I believe that we have also lost donors who signed up years ago with email addresses they never check. Others simply have different interests and priorities. But whatever the reason, they will be missed.

So if you have been thinking of doing a monthly donation, this is your opportunity to come to the rescue, by stepping in for donors that we have lost.

If you would like to help Counter-Currents, there are several ways to do so.

First, you can use a credit card.

We can take single donations or monthly donations through our credit card form. If you sign up for a monthly donation today, the first payment will be charged a month from now. If you want your first donation to be made today, put that amount in the one-time donation box as well as in the monthly donation box. If you want your donation to start in one month, please enter 0.00 in the one-time donation box.

Second, you can use Hatreon.

“Hatreon” is like Patreon but for the “haters” who are being purged from Patreon as part of the vast ongoing deplatforming of white advocates and dissident Rightists. Hatreon helps creative dissidents enjoy steady, predictable incomes from patrons who make monthly pledges of support. Just go to my Hatreon profile page [3] and make a pledge. (Use the invite code MAJDRZUDYWLG.)

Hatreon is run by a dissident Rightist like us. Hatreon is highly ethical and takes only a very small percentage of donations to cover their costs. I very much want Hatreon to succeed, so please sign up for an account today. Help Hatreon get off to a strong start — and help Counter-Currents stay in the fight.

Third, Counter-Currents also takes Bitcoin.

Our Bitcoin address is: 1ChE5DZVVZJpv8mnJ3fRrtSDrTikBh7uFL

In the coming weeks, we will begin accepting donations in all digital currencies, and we will publish a tutorial on how you can begin using them.

Finally, you can also mail donations to:

PO Box 22638

We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of generosity from a large number of readers. But we need to hear from all of you. Especially from our monthly donors. Please renew today.

Winter is coming for white advocacy. We must be industrious ants, building up capital and bracing ourselves for further attacks and deplatforming. We can no longer be happy-go-lucky grasshoppers, depending on the kindness and fair play of capitalists. Fear not, we will never quit. But we need to build new institutions, an integrated electronic ethnostate offering everything from domain registration to webhosting to DDOS protection to mailing list management — all controlled by our movement. This is a huge task, and we obviously should have started building it years ago. But when you donate, you are helping us build it today.

Thank you for your loyal readership and generosity.
