Memo to Hope Not Hate

80 words

[1]Washington is a “two-party consent state [2].” Thus it is a crime to “intercept or record a private telephone call, in-person conversation, or electronic communication unless all parties to the communication consent.” Thus if Hope Not Hate operative Patrik Hermansson releases any recordings of people at the June’s Seattle Northwest Forum (which expressly forbids photographs and recording without the consent of participants), he will be admitting to a crime, and any damaged parties will pursue legal remedy.
